What's up with Sora's voice in 3D

Posted

I mean if you listen to it...it sounds like an 8 year old talking with a teenagers voice. I dunno if that makes sense, but yeah. Just compare the voice acting to the stuff done in Re:CoM. Explain yourself HALEY JOEL OSMENT

I was watching scenes on YouTube and I noticed that too. It sounds like his voice changed a lot and I can't quite explain it either

I like kh2 sora's voice acting best kh3d was ok I guess but yeah kinda strange.

I just got use to it so it doesn't bother me anymore

It's called aging. The guy's getting getting older. Of course his voice will sound different. It happens to all of us when we age over time.

It doesn't sound deeper it just sounds... Different. Sort of like his real voice did get deeper and he has to raise it to speak in Sora's voice.

As I said before, it's because he's getting older. He was able to sound like a kid in KH1 because he was literally a kid when he first VA Sora. In KH2 he sounded more of a teenager because he was older and in his teen years at the time. And now, he's an adult. It happens with some voice acters and this shouldn't come as a surprise.

Honestly I think he sounds the same as when he did Re:CoM, only for some reason he is using a weirdly "cheery" and "light" tone in 3D.

I never noticed anything wrong with the voices

I heard he was trying to raise it so sound more childlike

since they're younger in their dreams I think?

I forget,

but I feel like this was already a thing...........

That was just for Sora's younger self with the all red clothes. If you notice his voice when he's in his KH2 clothes, he sounds normal.

so before i looked up some videos i was like"how bad could it be?" then i heard some" Haley...WTH man, that's some scary crap man"

The guy's getting older and so is Sora.

Does your voice get higher when you're older?

the voice of 3D and the cutscene of days of 1.5 are really diffrent if you ask me..

It depends. But in my case it is not.

Male voices can get different pitches when changing, so it is completely normal for it to be different. If you ask me it is completely fine.

Roxas's voice wasn't that all different. You could notice something but not all of it was different.

Trying to sound younger. Of course, he probably couldn't replicate his Re:COM voice.

Sora was supposed to return to his 14 -year old body, so he just had to try and make himself sound younger.

He's growing. His voice is changing.

Well what do you expect Sora is getting older so of course he's going to sound different.
