In an interview with Japanese magazines this week, Square Enix producer Ichiro Hazama, known for his work on the Dissidia and Kingdom Hearts series, along with The World Ends with You, shares his thoughts on wanting to make a new Dissidia, and to also do a special something for Chrono Trigger’s 20th anniversary.

 

“I want to make a new Dissidia, and we intend to do so. The people who’ve worked on the previous titles have also stated their desire to make a new one, too,” says Hazama.

Dissidia should be a Square mash up like Smash and All-Stars.  People need to do that more, it's actually good for promotion and money.

Yes yes yes yes yes! I knew that another Dissidia would emerge, I knew the franchise wouldn't end with Duodecim! Oh yes, now I finally have a reason to get a PSVita! (If that's the console it comes out for, which I'm sure it will.). Yess, Vincent, Nocits and more Final Fantasy characters must be included, including KH characters as guest fighters! Oh yes, it's good to be a Square Enix!

Aww... That means no Sora for Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS.

Disney won't allow KH characters to be in Dissidia far as I know

Noctis will have the best moveset with his warp combos and shiizz.

Last I read, Nomura feared Disney wouldn't like their Disney characters in a fighting game and deemed the idea bad, turning dissidia into a FF title.  However, you can see very high KH influence in the dissidia storyline.

PLEEEEASE BE ON PS3. I don't want to get a Vita, and as much as I want to play a new Dissidia, it wouldn't be reason for me to get a Vita... But HOLY CRAP. Also, no one mentioning the Chrono 20th anniversary? I'm excited for that too!

It'll be epic if characters from Final Fantasy,Kingdom Hearts,Chrono Trigger,Secret of Mana,Star Ocean....etc can be gathered in one huge mash up fighting game in the same style as Dissidia ^_^

Maybe up the console it's on, the controls a bit and make it 4 players and I'll be all in!
