How about they finish the Final Fantasy VII saga(a.k.a the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII)

We've been left on a cliffhanger ever since the secret ending of Dirge of Cerberus

During this Genesis awakens but looks like he's possessed by Nero(the one from this game not from DMC4),he takes Weiss and flies away

This ending occurs after the events of Dirge of Cerberus not before Crisis Core as some people say

I know that Square has made too many sequels recently, but honestly instead of X-3 how about VII-2

I really want an actual definitive ending with an epic showdown against a resurrected Jenova with a battle system similar to either the original or Crisis Core

And before you say Advent Children is VII-2....no.That was a movie not a full game and Dirge of Cerberus is not VII-2 because it was more about Vincent than Cloud

Crisis Core was a prequel

I know that the VII series had been milked already but I still want VII-2

Lightning got her conclusion and Cloud deserves one too

Aye, plus the final showdown between both him and Sephiroth once and for all :].

It'd be great to have a conclusion to the FFVII saga.I'd like to see what role Genesis will have in the futur and Sephiroth would most likely come back to life,so it would be interesting to see Sephiroth die for real or something like that.

I want the Final showdown to be against Jenova since she's been the cause of all the catastrophies that hit the Planet

Sephiroth is likely to come back, but I want Sephiroth to learn the truth about his true Mother Lucrecia

I doubt it would make much difference in changing Sephiroth, since he probably discovered the truth by then but still was turned insane, know what I mean?

I agree,I don't think they can save Sephiroth at this point, all he cares about now is to rule the planet and become almighty

I would very much like this along with Crisis Core,Final Fantasy 7, and Dirge Of Cerberus given a HD Remake for PS4 called Final Fantasy 7:The Lifestream Chronicles or whatever

No,what he discovered in the Nibelheim mansion wasn't the actual truth.

What he found in the mansion is just the researches and thesises of Professor Gast and other Shinra scientists, who thought that Jenova was one of the ancients when in reality she isn't,Sephiroth mistakenly thought that Jenova was his true mother and that humans have slaughtered all the ancients so he decided to avenge them and destroy the planet.

What he discovered was the lies Shinra was telling him throughout his entire life and he took that lie mistakenly as the truth

Sephiroth doesn't even know that Lucrecia and Hojo are his parents.

Not really,Sephiroth wanted to destroy the human race to avenge Jenova and then use the Planet as vessel to travel through the universe( he said that in Advent Children)there is a possibility that if Sephiroth knew the actual truth and met his true mother(whom she's still alive in that cave btw) that lots of things would've changed.....he can still learn the truth even after all of what he's done

It might change him or not,but at least he has learned it

The more Barret the better

Nitpicky, but I think a saga is six entries in a series. A trilogy is three. Could be wrong. But yes, I agree, and am glad someone else actually played Dirge of Cerberus.

This would be really awesome, like Kaiser said it would be nice to see the FF 7 games be remaster for the PS4.

I would be against this, mainly because the character arcs of the main cast are pretty much satisfied. Cloud is his own man under his own terms now, and can't really grow in personality much more. As for the prospect of Sephiroth coming back, again, really, really against that. The fact that he fell to Cloud once and for all was key for Cloud to assert that he's not only gotten over the past, he's moving on to the future. For all Sephiroth's boasting about how he's the ubermensch, he was the one clinging to false hopes, and his fall helps put Cloud over as more of a success. To bring him back kind of negates most of everything accomplished by their conflict in the game.

Explain to me what's with the secret ending in Dirge of Cerberus with Genesis then???

It pretty much means that there are more things to happen

I didn't say Sephiroth should come back, but Sephiroth came back in Advent Children through Kadaj so .....yeah

That secret ending is a cliffhanger that they have to resolve

I Lightning got her conclusion then I want a conclusion to the FFVII series

I think they'd rather wait till after a VII remake.

I think t's pretty clear X-3 is next. Think about it the audio drama, X-2.5 and the fact it's the 10th anniversary of X-2.

Yeah the VII remake, the one people kept asking for since the Ps2 days but they refuse to make it

If they can't make a remake, then they should conclude the series with a sequel

And I know about the X-2.5 audio drama that sounds like backshit insanity

And for the love of god VII deserves a sequel more than X-2

Also, this year is FFVII's seventeenth anniversary

X-2.5 isn't the audio drama, it's an actual novel.

I'm not arguing that VII-2 shouldn't happen, just saying nothing's been brought up to suggest it's coming anytime soon.

I never said it's coming soon,I said that it should be done

No more ff7 please. I've had it shoved down my throat enough.

I never said it's coming soon,I said that it should be done

Why are you arguing with me then? I never said it shouldn't or wouldn't happen that simply I think it makes more sense after a remake of VII.

Problem is,Square will never remake VII even if we came from the future and told them that remaking it will shower them with gold

I still haven't played dirge of cerberus xD i really need to do that :) but I would like the series to be finished

You know, this is very interesting.  I myself have played Crisis Core and I've seen Advent Children, but haven't gotten the chance to play the original FF7 or Dirge of Cerberus, but I do remember seeing that secret ending, and I agree that it left unanswered questions and possibilities for a sequel.  But they have to make a hell of a good story so that they can be able to resolute everything in terms of the characters, because if Square makes the game just for the cash, it won't be as good.  They'd have to carefully analyze all they've got on the FF7 compilation up till now and then craft a story that can seamlessly blend with the other storylines within the Final Fantasy VII universe so that it can all make sense.  Heck, I'd be all pumped up for a VII-2...after I play FF7 and Dirge Of Cerberus. xD

I never played Dirge of Cerberus. Mainly because I have no vested interest in either Vincent or Genesis. Regardless, if there were to be another game revolving around them, I would hope that the plotline focuses on whatever it is they do, rather than having to invent new problems for Cloud.

I didn't say Sephiroth should come back, but Sephiroth came back in Advent Children through Kadaj so .....yeah

That was only one of the many things wrong with Advent Children.

I Lightning got her conclusion then I want a conclusion to the FFVII series

Keeping in mind that Lighting could have walked away from the end of XIII with enough of a conclusion and resolution as it is, and the additional games only concluded drama that they themselves introduced. The conclusion that was provided at the end of VII is still enough for me.

I didn't like Advent Children that much either, but it happened and we can't take it out of canon and say there is no way Sephiroth will come back after this because that's what Square was building ....the possibility of Sephiroth's Return

regardless, the Sephiroth cloning that happened even in the main game happened for a reason, the clones are kind of plan B should Sephiroth fade to the lifestream again he can come back by possessing one of his clones, hence Kadaj.

If a new game was made,Sephiroth doesn't have to be the main antagonist,it can be Jenova herself

As for the conclusion, that was enough for you but not enough for the canon of the games to be left on such a cliffhanger

It could've ended with the original and Crisis Core but Final Fantasy VII was too popular for Square not make movies and sequels for

They should end the FFVII series with a definitive conclusion that ends all the conflict the FFVII world has

Well in Advent Children Sephiroth did say he would be back didnt he?
