If "Gay" and "Straight" were to switch places...

Featured Replies

Do people actually do that? Cause that's pretty fvcked up. I don't get how sexual preference would affect anyone

If you mean the words the situation would be the same, only with different names.  If you meant Heterophobia became a global issue and Homosexual's acted in an oppressive nature, then pretty much yeah the same thing, only straight people will be facing the issues that homosexuals do.

I didn't actually know Cisphobia and Heterophobia were a thing.

Well, where I come from being gay is an abomination. I believe what's in the Bible. And that's not going to change. To me it's not natural at all. But hey, it's one guys opinion.

PS. Video wouldn't play for me.

This is how I view homosexuality, instead of looking at it as it being "gross" I try to imagine what it would be like if heterosexuals were treated like scum and homosexuality was the norm. I thought to myself how messed up the world would be if men would be looked down upon for liking the opposite sex and vice versa. once I start thinking like that, I realized how wrong we treat people who are homosexual or bisexual. People act like the world will end if gays get married lol.

just let them love who they want to love, it  won't really harm anybody in my opinion.

I feel bad for "Gays" they just wanna live, love, breathe, and be treated equally. If your gay or straight you should have the opportunity to live your life to the fullest like any other human. Homosexuality is a sin but who cares anymore we all sin. I was taught to love everyone as brother and sister in the name of God because he doesn't judge and loves all his children. I truly do hope one day "Gays" don't have to live in fear and can live, love, and die with whomever they want

Okay, i'm sorry but i have to put this on here:

I believe that being homophobic is stupid, I'm the biggest christian i know and the biggest deal in the bible is to love one another right? whether or not my gay and non-Christian friends become Christians or whatever I'll still be there for them whatever happens. They're my friends and they made their choices, and some people are way too stubborn and self centered to even listen to anything I have to say when it comes to that sort of stuff, does that mean I'm going to stop being their friend? hell no!!! saying you're christian and homophobic is like going against your own religion so don't use it as an excuse. I do know some straight people that are so straight they get "wierded out" by gay people but I honestly don't know a single person with homophobia :) which is probably a good thing since I don't understand it xD

That was beautiful.  1 Billion Pillow Points for you.

I saw this on Tumblr and I think it's the video that needs to be shown to every Bible-banging homophobe protesting gay marriage. It's a beautifully shot short film and I really wish everyone could see this. It still shocks me that people are still bullied and attacked for not being straight. Thankfully I've grown up in a very nice community where no one's ever done this to me, but I think a lot of people grew up in a situation like mine and figure it's no big deal because they don't see any of the bullying firsthand, so they assume it doesn't exist. If y'all haven't watched this yet, I wholeheartedly recommend that you do because it's a great short film and while you'll probably be crying at the end of it, it's really something that needs to be seen.

I understand what the film is trying to say, but really the setting breaks my suspension of disbelief every 5 or so seconds. So they shun all M/F affectionate contact, forbid male lusting for female, and yet there is a breeding season where they must magically find someone they are willing to breed with if they want kids. I find that in a society like that there probably would be two outcomes.A percentage of guys might not even be "turned" on enough by girls to do the deed. (I guess their genes might die off) Well I do see a few ways around this, but it would almost seem like a trait that would have been fostered by society.A percentage of guys will just do it with no problems. And a percentage will start lusting and craving more. Now this group might breed the most during the supposed breeding season (if there aren't proper regulations.) thus spreading their genes farther than the average guy. Unless of course they are executed and everyone they were with has to have an abortion.

Society would foster the first two groups, probably the first one the most.Genes would foster the latter two groups, probably the last one the most.

So, genes and society would be fighting each other all the time, until if the middle group is all that remained. Which is implausible.

I have a really hard time imagining a society like that lasting long, though I guess that would be one way to control population growth. Which brings me to where this idea would be fine, in basically a future where we were over populated, governments ENFORCE desginated breeders, and probably would "fix" people at their first offense. In a society like that I can see even non-sexual heterosexual couples despised. And even those who didn't despise it would avoid it so they wouldn't get "fixed".The reason why I am saying that is the way I could imagine it that way and not the way portrayed in the film is because, it would have had to been that way in ancient times for this to work. And because it was that way in ancient times, we would have had much smaller populations. And these smaller populations would have been more susceptible to completely being wiped out by catastrophe. And due to that I highly doubt civilization would have lasted to the modern era. But in case it did, I still feel like the religious texts required to follow it would be more contradictory than what we have.  Like the Abraham religions do have the line of "be fruitful and multiply" which would have been important to keeping a diverse enough population which could withstand plagues. And I am sure other religions with massive followings had similar. (Buddhism is more so a philosophy than a religion.)I am not trying to tear about this short film or what it is trying to say, I am trying to say it is highly improbable that we could have a society that looks like OURS with the roles reversed. There simply has to be more differences than stated in the film. And when things are trying to give me an accurate look at a what if society, I can't suspend my disbelief for much before I say "This is just plain stupid."Again I am not promoting hate against homosexuals.

The other 9.994% is Sora and Riku xP

Besides, 90% of the KH fandom is just about how gay Roxas and Axel are.

That .0006% is Hayner+Pence; I applaud your guys' open-mindedness

For those people defending the rights of homosexual people here, lots of homosexual people would probably take offence to being called "gay".

No, it's not. It's only SoraxKairi.

I'm not offended and I don't know anyone else who is?? Most gay people use gay instead of homosexual.
