Have you bought a system just to play the KH game that was on it and nothing else?

Posted

I've been seeing a lot of posts lately(especially with one of the last polls Lu Xun made) from people here and on other KH forums that they bought systems like PSP,DS....etc just to play the Kingdom Hearts game that got released on the system and nothing else

Heck recently I met some people that bought a Ps3 just to play the 1.5 and 2.5 HD collections only and some others that said they felt cheated that games like Birth by Sleep and Re:Coded among others got included in the collections and that they wouldn't have got a PSP or a DS if they knew such collections were coming

Personally,I can never understand the idea behind that logic

Who in their right mind buys a system just to play one....ONE video game on it,and then put that system aside never to be used again

That would be a waste of money if you got a system just to buy one game on it and nothing else

I got a PSP before I even knew about Birth by Sleep's existence and I'm glad I did

the Playstation Portable is an awesome handhelds with tons of RPG's like Crisis Core FFVII,Disgaea Afternoon of Darkness,Jeanne Darc,Persona......and tons of other games that I've enjoyed

Granted I can understand the people who don't have enough money to try other games....that's fine I'm not forcing you at all

I'm talking about that group of people that limits themselves to just the series they follow(similar to the Naruto,One Piece and Bleach fandoms) and either ignore or shit on anything else that isn't their favorite series.

If you want to buy a system, make sure you'll get the most out of it and try whatever you can....don't just buy a system for one game and then when that one game gets included in a collection you start regretting your decision

No.

I don't usually buy $250+ gaming system for one game that only lasts about 20 hours (or less depending how good you are)

I bought 3DS and original DS just to play Kingdom Hearts. I bought other games too, but it was not necessary.

I almost bought PSP for BbS :D

No.  I bought a PSP cause BBS was coming out but I have other games on it.  The same with my 3DS, I have other 3DS games now and play my DS games on it too.  KH really is just like the kickstarter.

My main intent is to buy the console just for the game.. But there ends up being more games that come out anyways.

Not only did I buy one system for a Kingdom Hearts game, I bought four

If my love for Kingdom Hearts means I'm not in my "right mind", then I don't wanna be sane

My DSI, 3DS, PSP, PS2, GBASP(I found my charger for that last night) all KH.

If there is a FF Game then why not buy it to play anyway. That is why I have FFX, FFX-2, Crisis Core, and FFXIII, XIII-2

I bought my 3DS just to play KH3D I knew I would end up buying other games. KH3D simply got me to buy it.

I didn't say you're insane,I just wanted some of you guys to broaden your horizons if you can and try other franchises

There are games out there that are just as good as KH like Persona

Yes and No.

I originally bought a 3DS for KH3D, but I saw a lot of other cool games that where coming out for it, so I hopped on that.

I already owned a DS before knowing of Kingdom Hearts being on it but I'd be lying if I didn't say that when Kingdom Hearts 3D was announced back at E3 2010 that it wasn't one of my main reasons for getting a 3DS, however I was always going to get one regardless.

The PSP is the only system that was influenced by Kingdom Hearts however. I had no intentions of buying the system but I picked up a PSP about 3 or 4 months before the release of Birth by Sleep but I did get Crisis Core and Dissidia with the PSP so it's not like I bought the system and played only one game on it.

The release of KH3 and FF15 though on the PS4 has influenced me to buy the system earlier than expected as I usually wait for a slimmer model to come out and I don't think it'll be out before at least FF15 hits shelves.

I'd never flat out buy a system for one game as it's a waste of money and I'm sure that I'd find another game that would appeal to me.

i bought a 3ds only with kh and thats it honestly

I'd vote yes, but because of the wording, I chose not to vote. I bought both my PSP and my 3DS to play the KH games. I then wound up getting a ton of other games, thus making me use them even more.

No , not even close. I bought PS3 because of the Grand Theft Auto series .

I did and I have no regrets because I was then allowed to play all these other hidden and not-so-hidden gems that I otherwise wouldn't have been able to.

Don't get me wrong buddy I didn't mean people like you who found other games to play after KH

I meant that group of people that buys nothing but Kingdom Hearts games

I bought my 3DS for KH3D, and that's all I wanted. But then Pokémon Y was announced.

3DS. xD Although my main purpose of getting 3DS was to play KH3D but after finishing the game, I bought Super Mario 3D and played it for a while. But now I barely touch 3DS...

I actually bought my new PS3 this year just for Drakengard 3, but.... Due to crappy Square Enix online store I'm not planning to get it anymore. So for now I'm just going to enjoy the exclusive that they have to offer in retail stores such as, X/X-2 HD, KH 2.5, and maybe might replay XIII-2 on the PS3.

But really I think Kingdom Hearts DDD is the only game that influence me to get a 3DS in the first place.

The only reason I bought a PSP and a PS3 is for BBS,1.5 and 2.5,but I ended up buying more games obviously.

I bought a psp to play birth by sleep but I got games for it later

I also bought a ps3 thinking kh3 would be released for it..

I have never bought a system just for kingdom hearts, in fact the only systems I bought with kh in mind at all were my 3ds and psp.

Actually none of ur two options because I bought 3DS for KH3D only as a beginning but then I figured more awesome games and bought them.

I got a psp, and 3ds just for kh games, but then I bought a bunch of other games as well. I want to buy a ps4 for kh3, but i'll get other games too.

The only reason i buy handhelds is basically for KH games.

DS - Days, Re:coded and TWEWY

PSP - Birth by Sleep and Dissidia

3DS -  KH3D
