Posted March 30, 201411 yr This is entirely possible, but unlikely. I mean why not, most players are teenagers anyway, even though there are Disney characters in it. I played T rated games when I was about, what 8 years old? The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is rated T and so is Super Smash Bros. It may not much matter what the rating says, but it could affect the gameplay.
March 30, 201411 yr Firstly, Disney is for everyone. Secondly, PG is used in games that aren't actually meant for children all the time. They remove the gore while the story stays mature. The reason being, while the story isn't targeted to kids, they want to have as big an audience as possible, so they keep it just below the line. Don't believe me?http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-11-01-why-total-war-rome-2-blood-and-gore-is-dlc http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/WhatDoYouMeanItsNotForKids Edited March 30, 201411 yr by KittensOnFire
March 30, 201411 yr Unless you want scenes to be censored or chunks of story changed i really hope it does jump to Teen rating.
March 30, 201411 yr Some of the best video games available are rated E or now E10+. Just because it's rated T doesn't make it a better game. The game itself has to be good for that to be true. There are plenty of terrible T and M games, just as there are many bad E games too.
March 30, 201411 yr T rating FTW, I say: Let's see some action! Love KH, but seeing realistic damage to Sora that requires a potion to heal'd be kinda cool.
March 30, 201411 yr It's going to stay E and E10+. I can't see it being a T rated game, because of the Main Disney characters. Despite POTC trillogy, TRON: Legacy, Sleeping Beauty, and other Disney titles that I can think of has very little cursing. Not a lot, but a little. It's been words like: (keeping it PG in here) Darn, Heck, Ash (You guys get what I'm saying with these 3 words I'm using right?) I'm not trying to say curse words in here... Well I can't really say "H-E double hockey sticks" is a bad word, because its in the Bible. But--Ah forget it... =,.,= Never mind... Edited March 30, 201411 yr by RikuFangirl2008
March 30, 201411 yr I don't see why the'd need to bump the rating up. The series is fine at E10. Bumping the rating up just to make it look cooler and more adult would be dumb.
March 30, 201411 yr I just want the scenes from Disney movies that have a little more shown. Okay, the PotC thing didn't make as much sense story-wise, but censor-wise it was fine. But why remove the Hydra's blood when it was in the original Disney cartoon movie?
March 30, 201411 yr The only teen rated game in the kingdom hearts series is re chain of memories for the PS2.
March 30, 201411 yr The only teen rated game in the kingdom hearts series is re chain of memories for the PS2. I beg to differ.
March 30, 201411 yr I must have over looked it. Tis fine! Just wondering if maybe there could've been a mislabeling as well, now that I think of it. I remember a friend had a case for The Little Rascals movie that said it was rated R, so it'd be pretty neat
March 30, 201411 yr I see no need to bump it for the reasons KittensOnFire said. The lower the rating, the larger their potential market is.
March 30, 201411 yr If it means censoring story content then I would gladly accept the T rating.... But I wouldn't put it in there just for the sake of having a T rated game.
March 30, 201411 yr Only differences between T and E10+ is blood and curses pretty much. Both unnecessary and I can't see anyone saying damn anyway lol.
March 30, 201411 yr A rated T kingdom hearts....i can see it now "Damn you Sora..." or something like that
March 30, 201411 yr A rated T kingdom hearts....i can see it now "Damn you Sora..." or something like that In the gameboy advanced version of chain of memories Axel said the h word
March 31, 201411 yr In the gameboy advanced version of chain of memories Axel said the h word but thats still considered Rated E isnt it, i mean thats not really a horrific word
April 2, 201411 yr Author I'm not saying Sora should curse, I really doubt Disney would let that happen, but I'm referring to the romance between Sora and Kairi because not much seems to happen with that when it's rated E10
April 2, 201411 yr Never understood the big deal of this I like kingdom hearts how it is.. No curse no blood.
April 3, 201411 yr I'm not bothered either way really. as long as there's no cursing, especially not from Disney characters. Countless childhoods would die!
