Why didn't you play Birth by Sleep Final Mix?

Posted

I've noticed already a very large number of people played Birth by Sleep, but not Birth by Sleep Final Mix. And I'm left wondering, why? The PlayStation Portable is region free after all.

Combination of the first and last two. I wasn't in a position to import BBS (and I didn't really want to, either, on account of the Japanese text) and my PSP borked, anyway.

Like most people would say , I am not able to import it .And it was actually a little bit expensive .

I played BBSFM

There are multiple reasons I never played the Final Mix version.

1.  The Japanese text.  I wouldn't know the name of any command I'd use.  Sure, it's probably not all that necessary to understand the words of another language to play the game, but I like to have some understanding of what I play and not memorize how things would work.

2.  Importing.  It's not a question of doing it, it's just I have absolutely no idea on how to do it.  I'm sure my parents and other family members don't know how to.  I could look it up, but I feel it would take more work than it should.

3.  Don't have a PSP.  I used to have one, but had to trade it in for games since my older brother said there's no point in having more than one portable gaming system (the only other I had was a regular DS), which was sometime before (or maybe after, don't remember) BBS FM was announced.

4.  I didn't think there would be a Final Mix at the time.

I played it the english patched one lol,

Ebay, my friend. Or play-asia. Just check for international delivery options for any other websites. If you're in Europe, try play.com or zavvi.com.

I did play it, being the impatient and demanding person I am. Imported the game and then patched it.

I actually did play it.Thanks to the black magic arts known as torrents and english patches.

English Patch for the win!

I can't speak Japanese...

I don't understand Japanese lol.

There was an English Patch for it. And it released fairly quickly from when the game first came out. xD

We want the original with english voices.

Because I didn't want to.

I played it, but I only got to play it because my friend had a hacked PSP and he let me borrow it

The first two Final Mixes are pains w/o English Text (though KH2FM is my favorite game in the series). I didn't want to have to deal w/ BBSFM's text.

It might not have a region lock, but importing games is expensive, and the text would all be in Japanese.

I don't have my own ps. The only way I was able to play the game was because my cousin let me barrow hers and her copy of birth by sleep. In my oppinion I also don't see a point in importing games especially if I don't own the the device the game is played on.

multiple reasons. I don't even own a PSP, and at the time i didn't have any means to purchase it since i was younger then and my parents were stingy. I can read japanese and understand it well enough, but importing the game itself would be too much of a hassle in general

Because I can't read Japanese and have no idea how to download language patches.

I played BBSFM on an emulator and I found an english patch for it a long time ago.

I really don't understand them. I actually played and enjoyed both games, maybe this Final Mix doesn't have so much addiction compared to the other Final Mixes (especially the II Final Mix) but for a fan it's worth it. PSP doesn't have region block and as for the "language" problem it's so simple to solve, Keytotruth has done a perfect patch with english texts.

I play the games for the story so not being able to read it made it not worth it

I've played a bit of BBSFM, but stopped when 1.5 came out, because I wanted to save some BBSFM awesomeness for 2.5
