Kotaku have conducted an interview with Tai Yasue, the current co-director of the Kingdom Hearts series, who is currently at E3 2014 to promote Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX.In this interview, Yasue reveals that the Kingdom Hearts III E3 2014 teaser video that was released earlier in the week is actually the starting scene for the game. That would be really cool. I'm hoping to be able to play as YX, I think it'll be cool.

Awesome way to start it that's for sure. I imagine after that scene the new song will start playing.

I sense a weird disturbance in the force! It's like someone asked if star wars was going to be in Kingdom Hearts 3 and square responded by saying no comment which has a feeling of a very likely yes! And it feels like Xehanort and Eraqus were the two characters in the teaser for Kingdom Hearts 3!

I think that at the beginning it might be Terra's station of awakening since Eraqus and Xehanort are both inside Terra and who knows how the battle inside of Terra is going at the moment.

Ah, I knew it! So let me see here... we press New Game on the KH3 main menu. It leads us to either the opening or this segment. Once we start to see this segment, it will probably show the background of when Eraqus and Xehanort were training under a Master. We might even be able to play as either Eraqus or Xehanort. And to think about it, it's usually the numbered titles that have a new character you play as in the beginning of the game (KH2). Since this is the 3rd, this could be possible. Now if we are able to play, we'd be able to explore the world they live in and train (get used to the new battle system Nomura has developed for us: in other words, this segment could be the tutorial segment of the game, just minus the Disney attractions lol). Maybe we'll have the ability to play as Eraqus and/or Xehanort for a couple of days like Roxas in KH2 until we reach a certain day where "everything changes". And by this, I mean on that day we should see the cutscene they shown in the new teaser. And as soon as Xehanort says those last words, the camera focuses on Eraqus for a few seconds, who looks pretty disturbed from that statement and then boom... fade to black.... logo pops up. Well? I think that sounds pretty accurate, don't you agree? (I could be totally wrong, but who knows? I think this would be an awesome idea and would set the stage for the rest of KH3 perfectly in my opinion). Idk... I'm just glad Nomura thought of putting this interesting cutscene in the beginning of the game... so many possibilities and assumptions

A lot of theme park action...oh god.Honestly, this looks like the stupidest thing I've seen in the series yet. It's just so clunky and out of place and pointless. At least summons had an explanation, how the hell are they going to explain giant rides coming out of nowhere?? It's just so...unbelievable kiddish and clunky and stupid.Idk, they better prove me wrong or else I'm going to be a little annoyed. Though, that will probably just mean I'll play the game without using that ability.

It usually means ''No'' as well. Depends on how he laughed.....he may of been making fun of the idea for all you know.

 

Star wars wouldn't fit in a game with anime style characters and mickey mouse.

If you think about it though neither does Tron or Pirates.
