Is it only me whose just realized how bad a game Sonic 06 is and how good it's music is? (Obviously everyone noticed Sonic 06 is bad)

I mean, despite the horrible game, it has some of the best music in the whole of the Sonic franchise to be honest.

You're not the only one. His World is my favorite video game music of all time. As bad as this game is, the music is better than the music in Sonic Lost World, whose music is surprisingly boring and generic, which is lame since Sonic games usually have some of the best music.

Yeah, but Radical Train's was a train wreck.

Aha! I see what you did there.

No your not the only one, I started playing this game 4 days ago and I couldn't see how the game was from people's words until I've played it by myself and understood their feeling, but the soundtracks are awesome especially the main theme.

Most Sonic games suck imo.

With the exception of Sonic Colors ;3 That game was amazing, the best that's come from SEGA since Sonic Adventure 2.

I played the game many years ago. I hate the game because they're too many loading screens in the game. Though the soundtrack in the game is pretty good.  I remember that there are a lot of glitches in the game and most of them  did were unintentional.

I thought the soundtrack was okay. I liked the game though.

In my opinion, Sonic Lost World is worse.  Both stink, but at least I completed Sonic 06, but gave up on Lost World.  Also, 06 is based on the Adventures gameplay in a bad way, while Lost World tries to base its gameplay on a game that was canceled for a reason and ends up with some clunky controls and bad level design.  The best 3D Sonic game apart from Adventure 1 & 2 is Sonic Unleashed.  I also enjoyed Shadow's game since its reminds me of a highspeed jak/ratchet game, but did not included it as a "Sonic" game.

the music is the only ....ONLY  good thing about Sonic 06....and y'know what's the best part? You don't even need to buy the game to hear it.Just buy the soundtrack and throw the game into the deepest depths of hell

No, you literally aren't. The music is probably the one thing about that game that everybody likes. Individual people may have different reasons for liking or disliking particular aspects of the game, but the one thing they all agree on is that it's music is some of the best of the series.

Yeah, but Radical Train's was a train wreck.

Radical Train's music is some of my favorite tracks from that game. That bass....MMM! It get's me so pumped! X)

Well thank goodness that's just an opinion then.

While I agree that I was more DISAPPOINTED with Lost World than I was with 2006 (2006 being my first Sonic game, so what was there to expect), at least Lost World was a much more complete experience. It was still a mess however, with too many great ideas that were all just crammed next to each other without any real effort to try and make them work with one another, they were rather inconsistent as to how fast they wanted Sonic to be, the story is just as confused as the gameplay is, if not more so, and the physics felt way too geared towards platforming than towards speed, a terrible error to make when it comes to finding the correct balance for a Sonic game. Sonic 2006 may have been a mess for some similar and different reasons, but at the very least I felt like it had more of a personality. Lost World feels like it's too busy trying to look and feel like a Mario game, or Sonic X-treme (even though they'll never admit to it), or anything other than the game it is supposed to be. Sonic 2006 was geared to become THE definitive Sonic title, perhaps even the best of the series. It was only due to rushed development that the game turned out the way it did. Even the story could have had enough time to be refined with all of it's plotholes, if they were allowed that much time. 2006 was trying to be a Sonic game worthy of the 15th anniversary, finding the right blend of old and new to make something epic. All of that was in an effort to try and regain Sonic's identity. Sonic Lost World however, it was the first step in throwing away the identity that they were searching and experimenting so hard for, just so they could try and discover a "better" and much more "marketable" identity. By doing so, they abandoned everything that they had accomplished in the last 10 years just to see where they could end up from here. Not even the music is that noteworthy, and it was made by the same guy who made the music for Sonic Unleashed, possibly my most favorite game out of the series. There's probably only 10 tracks that really stand out to me, but everything else was made to fit their accompanying stages, to be as generic and simple as possible, without anything unique to offer whatsoever. You want to know what the difference between Emerald Coast and Tropical Coast is? Emerald Coast is a varied beach landscape filled with exciting cliffs, long piers, angry orcas, expansive oceans, and overall exciting moments. Tropical Coast is just a beach level. Nothing really stands out. In every other Sonic game, you can point out landmarks and features that represent different points of the level, but Sonic Lost World hardly has any of that. It was too busy trying to be a different and varied experience rather than a memorable one, and so far it seems to be the only Sonic game I've ever come across that is worth forgetting.

Anyway, sorry for the rant.

Well I like Sonic 06, sure there were a few bugs, the music was badass, and the kiss part was a stupid idea. But overall I enjoy enjoy Sonic 06.

Like everyone said, the music is pretty much the only good thing about this game.

It's pretty horrible, yeah. My favorite Sonic games are Sonic Colors, Sonic Generations, Sonic 2 and Sonic 3.

Opinions everywair

Everything about the game, except the music, was bad.

There can be good games with awful music, and bad games with good music.

Sonic does tend to choose music over gameplay xD (I don't mind at all)

I still don't understand how Crisis City ended up being a fan favorite, sure they have some original ideas, but gamplay-wise this level is broken,it was one of my least favorite, but at least they've done a good job with that stage in Sonic Generations.Radical train or Kingdom Valley should have been in Generations instead of Crisis city

While I hate Sonic 06 and recognize it as a big steaming pile of shit, I really think the sonic series gets a lot more hate than it deserves, and overall sonic has had more hits than misses.

That board is so nostalgic. I was really happy when it returned in sonic generations. xD
