I have no idea on how to get a girlfriend

Posted

I guess I just want a significant other so I won't feel as lonely and so I'll be a bit more happy about life. I want someone to kiss, hug, and be a bit more intimate with. I mean I've made friends with girls before but I have no idea how someone gets a girlfriend instead of just making a friend. Like can someone help me with this.

And yes I know how pathetic I sound.

I meet the love of my life in college. I think I made a status about her today. that one special girl will find you.

Awesome advice, ladies man Neptune!

Thanks Sun I just told Cucco what I did. Seemed to work well both times so I guess the 3rd will make or break my method

Out of the blue?

Yeah, good idea.

Fool. Don't go up to someone and ask for a date. But strike up conversations and if you hit it off, ask for a date. Don't just bank on one person. You don't just get a girlfriend. Takes a few dates first.

Tru the internet. Two of my friends and one's sister found their so online.

From what I did hears my advice:1. Love yourself above all else

2. Be kind and show kindness to all

3. Be a gentleman or act if you are not one naturally

4. Know what you want

5. Don't seem as if your really really in need for companionship

6. Hold yourself tall and sharp with a air of confidence that tells the world I can do fine all by myself

7. Don't be afraid of deep conversation

8. Subliminally ask questions so you know that the girl's likes and impress her by reciting that knowledge

9. Be playful and flirty and don't be awkward for physical touching( act as if it's normal)

10. Most importantly DON'T STRESS OVER IT it's almost as if girls can smell your want for a GF

11. Lay back after these steps and let them come to you

Your method seems more like a way of living life than simple tips on how to get a girlfriend. That being said I like your style.

It's honestly a red flag for me when someone wants a girlfriend because they need fulfillment.  If the only way you can find fulfillment and self-esteem is from someone else, then it feels less like you want a true relationship and more like you want someone to help take care of you.  You want companionship from someone, but what do you have to offer her?  If you can't take care of her as much as she takes care of you, the relationship is one-sided because you're mainly doing it for you, not as a pair.

As much as a catch-22 as this is, the best way to get a girlfriend is to first work on yourself and, well, be happier.  Not just potential girlfriends, but people in general will be drawn to you if you demonstrate some confidence and activity.  And it needs to be actual confidence, the kind you get from actively working towards something you care about.  If you want to be happier about life, the answer isn't in a girlfriend.  It starts with you.

Before you can get a girlfriend, you need to be able to enjoy your own company.  The ability to be on your own team is something I myself I'm working on, but the way I'm remedying it right now?  By working, and doing stuff.  Even if it's not paid work, it should at least be something that gets you out of the house and makes you contribute to something.  What clubs are you in, for instance?

That's just mean. Just continue being the girl's friend. You never know if she might come around. Just because you're in the friendzone with someone doesn't mean you're obligated to be a lamp. Just see other girls.

she will most likely never come around. and usually when someone is in the friendzone he isn't interested in other girls because he's still hopeful that she might "come around" . also, cutting the ties isn't mean. she will know that you're not interested in a friendship with her. of course it's a different story if he was friends with her for a long time even before he got interested in her.

For starters, the fact that you talk about having a girlfriend and not about any girls you have a crush on seems to show that you're in love with the idea of having a girlfriend, but there isn't a girl you particularly care about. Personally I don't think that's a good place to start in a relationship.

My advice though is to just do whatever you want. At least in every relationship I've had, it's been unexpected. It's the kind of thing you don't generally see coming, even if you're destined to be in a relationship in another two months. I'd recommend trying to get her phone number or snapchat and talk with her a lot. If it doesn't seem like you'll move past the friends stage then just keep being friends! There's no harm in having a new friend, and she might be able to introduce you to a single friend of hers.

Sounds like good advice :3

There is a girl I like I just haven't talked to her in a while. We were friends like a year ago and then we just stopped talking for some reason.

Be patient and wait for the right one: you'll know her when you meet her.

not that this is my area of expertise since I've only dated one girl, and that was 100% online through webcam,, but I digress...

Don't ask everything in a skirt out: you'll look desperate and drive everyone off.

Wait it out, and see if you feel like one girl means something to you; maybe she feel the same.

It's hard to tell sometimes how someone else feels towards you, so just take a shot on it.

That's all i  got, bye.

Why won't you try and talk to her then? Though I know it's not that easy after a long time...

And don't try too hard, just be yourself.

I'm a girl so my advice here is invaluable

How to get GF 101

1. Talk to girl you like about stuff you like/stuff she might like

2. BE HER FRIEND FIRST. No, but seriously, start a good friendship with her, get to know each other, if she likes you and knows you, she will be way more likely accept your feelings. If one of my guy friends I knew and liked admitted feelings to me i'd be wayyy more likely to accept than some guy I barely know.

3. Ask her to go to somewhere with you. The easiest way to get a date with someone is to make out that it isn't a date but you're just going somewhere as friends. You can take others, and eventually just go by yourselves. You can bond n' stuff.

There are a couple nice things about step 2.1. If you two are too incompatible to even be friends, you would never be able to have a lasting relationship. (probably with a few exceptions)

2. If you do become her friend, now you are her friend. Even if you don't ever date her, you two can still be friends, possibly even good friends.

Though...If you do become her friend, and she doesn't want to date you, then PLEASE don't act like the friendship was meaningless and try avoiding her. That's just mean. Yes, you might have had your heart broken, but why should you hurt another just because you are hurting?
