I came to realize that I forgot about Vanitas' brief appearance in Dream Drop Distance.

I always wonder if Vanitas would return in Kingdom Hearts III.

 

Do you think he will come back?

I don't know if he is a part of the 13 Seekers of Darkness but could he be one of them?

I'm actually want Vanitas to return in Kingdom Hearts because I think he's part of Xehanort's 13 seekers of darkness.

Why wouldn't they?

He'll probably return in some form. I hope he returns as a boss fight, because his boss fights in BBS were fantastic

But I really don't get the fascination

As Dave put it a long time ago, he's hands down the least competent KH villain of all time, losing out to the likes of Pete

What if Vanitas is originally on the Organization XIII and then switches over to the light side. I could see him being like the Vegeta of the KH franchise.

I actually thought about the same! I mean he is a part of Ventus so maybe we think he could but don't know yet he is still portrayed as the evil villain but he did show fear in the ending of Birth by Sleepalso nice pewdie icon

Maybe he'll have a bossfight as 'the key' to waking up Ven? That would be pretty cool, but I don't think Vanitas will return as a seperate person from Ventus if he does.

I really hope Vanitas comes back. If he doesn't then his brief appearance in DDD was for nothing.

 

P.S. I also hope that Sora will be present when Ven wakes up and Ven will mistake Sora for Vanitas since they look alike and Ven will fight Sora.

I was hoping that would happen with Sora and Aqua. It would be funny since Aqua is kind of waiting for Sora to save her after Ansem the Wise told her about him.

Well, it could happen but Aqua never saw Vanitas's face, so she wouldn't be able to confuse Sora for Vanitas.

Ah, that's right she only saw him with the helmet and when he possessed Ventus. Ventus vs Sora it is Though I wonder if he wouldn't have any of Sora/Roxas/Xion's memories.

I have always believed that Vanitas will return in Kingdom Hearts III, and as most people have mentioned here, I strongly believe he's one of the Thirteen Darknesses. And also, if any of you remember, did you ever notice that there wasn't a journal entry for Vanitas in Dream Drop Distance?  I mean, okay, sure, this probably doesn't mean anything, but couldn't there have been a slight description that said: "A mysterious entity who holds the power of darkness." or something like that?  Anyways, back to my point, I'm pretty sure Vanitas will come back, thus, the Unversed will return.  After all, he is Ventus' darkness, so Ventus will have to confront him again.  But yeah, I really hope Vanitas returns!

I'd think that there's a pretty good chance that Vanitas will return in Kingdom Hearts III. He's most likely one of the 13 darknesses.
