Which do you prefer and why?

Dodge Roll, because being able to roll around without getting attacked is actually pretty useful.

Dodge Roll, because it helps you get out of harm's way.

Dodge Roll for combat (and for nostalgia value), but Quick Run for when you need to speed through areas. When you get Glide, I generally unequip QR.

Dodge roll. Quick Run is cooler to look at though.

They're both super useful in combat.  I prefer dodge roll but quick run has its uses.  Like collecting munny and HP/MP balls, getting breathing room when you're surrounded by enemies, closing the gap on an enemy quickly, etc. 

You're supposed to work with both really.

I like dodge roll because quick run dissapoints me, i thought it was going to be like the master form running when i first got it, but nuuuu

Quick Run. It travels farther & you move more quickly in my opinion.

You can have both, you know. Hold down Square for Quick Run and Tap for Dodge Roll... no reason to have a preference when they're both useful for different things and can both be equipped in harmony.

I've always thought the Dodge Roll seemed more practical, plus it's basically a staple at this point. Quick Run is cool, but so flashy; if there was any real multiplayer aspect I was totally have that just to look fly and piss people off.

having both can lead to problems in tense situations though, accidentally using the wrong one

Quick Run's excellent for getting around before you have Glide, but Dodge Roll is awesome
