Wow... it's already on sale but it's nowhere NEAR soon to being done... unless Square has lied a lot and the game really is near completion.

This is super odd to me.  Target was the first one to lower their price to this and said October 1 is the release date.  While I don't believe the release date, the price drop by more than one company is very strange.

if not day one, within the first month

if you can save 20 bucks, why not?

imagine having in about 2 years to remember them to take off 20 pounds of your purchase

They're probably doing this for marketing purposes, and also because they know the game actually won't be out this year.

Might be just like the old Youtube videos titled "KHIII" which contained KHIIFM secret ending... You'll buy that and probably get BbS.

Not particularly. Amazon puts preorders on sale quite a bit. I wouldn't be sur[rised if someone on Amazon saw that Goofy thing recently adn thinks the game is coming out this year

KH3 selling so badly that the price got cut years before it came out. SE and Disney must be really disappointed.

 

iirc the actual reason this happened is because target made a pricing error for their listing of this and amazon matched their price. this also happened with uncharted 4 just a bit before.

This doesn't mean squat, last year Walmart was claiming to have it for preorder as well.

It's still not a horrible idea if you're planning on getting it; too bad they corrected the price again.

 

I'm waiting for the inevitable Collector's Edition anyway; after the kickass 2.5 CE, 3's is gonna be bananas.

They showed something at the launch events and it was very raw. Not to mention they're still hiring a lot because the KH team is small.
