So, what I want to know is -- why is just about everyone saying "Frozen (2013)" has a definite appearance in "Kingdom Hearts 3"?

Could someone PLEASE clarify this for me?  I understand "Frozen (2013)" is a very popular movie, but... Now that a world based on "Tangled (2010)" has been announced, wouldn't "Frozen (2013)" be similar?  What variety of worlds would we then get in "Kingdom Hearts 3"?

Both worlds are very different in my opinion. They just have similar character designs and certain similar art design choices.

Well, there's two clear factors of Frozen's presence in Kingdom Hearts 3.

1) The fact that it is Walt Disney Animation Studios best financially performing film of all time. That alone makes it deserving to be in Kingdom Hearts 3.

2) Tetsuya Nomura and Tai Yasue (directors of the Kingdom Hearts series) have been hinting at Frozen by saying how much they love the movie and what they think of it. They've referred to Frozen too often for it to be a coincidence.

And to clarify, Frozen is distinct enough from Tangled. Frozen is based in Scandinavian culture whilst Tangled is based in German culture.

Their worlds are nothing alike!

This. The only reason why it could be similar is just due to similar art design and the simple fact that it's made by the same people.

What'll happen will happen,. but as Frozen has been such a massive hit, and the mytho's would fit well with KH, you can pretty much bet it will be there in one form or another

Frozen can't be in kingdom hearts 3. I mean, every disney worlds had a villain which we must battle against them right? So who do you think would be the villain of frozen in kingdom hearts 3?

I don't see how it would be similar to Tangled, if anything, similarity would make it even easier for them to include.

Disney's animation has been similar in the past too with Snow White, Cinderella and the Sleeping Beauty.

Plus Frozen looks incredibly different from Tangled. Frozen will be a little summer like in beginning and then turn to snow (unless they start with snow right away). Tangled is filled with summer like forests and such.

Also Frozen's animation is a lot more fluid compared to Tangled since that animation evolved.

Another reason they could add it is because they brought it up numerous times for some reason. Who knows what those mean though, but people guessed it might be them hinting to Frozen being included because Frozen is popular.

IMO, Frozen would be perfect for KH. And the current engine would make that world insanely beautiful.

Similarity is also the indicator to cancel out worlds. During the process of Kingdom Hearts, Jungle Book and Tarzan were debated as to which of the two should be in Kingdom Hearts. It was decided that Tarzan was featured at the time (that's worked in their favour as they no longer have the rights to Tarzan). Evidently, both those worlds are far too similar in environment and plot which is why similarity is the indicator to cancel out worlds.

Walt Disney Animation studio has a staple character model design hence the similarity with all the Disney characters.

I'd add to this that especially in Japan (not just worldwide) Frozen was a massive success; it accounted for nearly one fifth of the movie's entire revenue! So yeah, there's a lot of reasons to include it.

Frozen is the highest grossing Disney film of all time. Slap Elsa on the back of the game cover and it's going to sell copies. It's simple business.

So do you think we would have prince Hans as the boss? He barely do anything

Of course, there's that fact too. Frozen's been heavily integrated into mainstream Japanese culture.

Elsa's going to be promoted in as many official Kingdom Hearts 3 trailers as possible. With the amount of investment they're putting into the game and the changes in the gaming market since Kingdom Hearts 2, they need to appeal this game to the mainstream market!

He's a skilled swordsman. He chopped off Marshmarllow's leg and nearly sliced Elsa in half. A final boss fight with him is guaranteed.

Hans, Marshmallow, and Elsa(up to a point)

That situation doesn't prove anything in the whole Tangled v. Frozen similarities.

One is summer, and the other is winter.

Jungle Book/Tarzan are both jungles.

It is completely different.

You misinterpreted what I stated. I was just clarifying as to why the "similar worlds" process is used to cancel out worlds. I stated that Frozen and Tangled's worlds are not similar at all (completely different).

Well you are right about that one

Hans, Marshmallow, and Elsa(up to a point)

Yes if the enemy will be Elsa it would be great. First playthrough of the world is Elsa with marshmallow and 2nd playthrough is Hans

Oh then my bad, the way you said it felt like you were trying to argue against that point.

Not to mention that Frozen fits in really well thematically with Kingdom Hearts.

Pete and a random Heartless will solve this problem.

Well, seeing as how Frozen is insanely popular, I wouldn't find it at all surprising if the film ended up as a world in Kingdom Hearts III.  It's pretty much inevitable to me. :P

It's really popular both in and outside Japan :/

Plus the themes of "beware the frozen heart" fits in with the theme of KH.

It's no surprise if it'll end up in Kingdom Hearts III.

Frozen is based in Norwegian.

If Elsa becomes a boss I think it would be because she wants to see how Sora protects the ones he care like she got Marshmallow to take Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, Donald, and Goofy out of the Ice Palace while letting Sora stay just to test him.

Well, I'm just gonna say this; I love Frozen and I would love to experience a Frozen world, but I don't want Nomura to put Frozen in KH just because of the fact that 95% of people hates Frozen now and would hate for it to be in KH.

Well Frozen haters would have to learn to deal with it.
