Guys sorry but this thread has devolved into personal attacks and is going nowhere so I think it's best to lock it up. Please keep personal attacks out of your arguments in the future please. Remember

well, more or less a generous move

Shame it weren't on the PS4 though. :/

If Sony announce PS3 backwards compatibility for the PS4 then that would be that predicament sorted out ;)

I'm glad for the delay. If Kingdom Hearts 3 hadn't got the delay it had, Big Hero 6 wouldn't have been able to make it into the game. Besides, the plot needed a glorious remaster in order to gather new and old fans alike. If Sony announces backwards compatibility for the PS4 then Kingdom Hearts 3 will be able to be playable for a PlayStation 4 console.

Backwards compatibility for PS4 isn't possible. They're completely different consoles.

well tell that to the xbox one... everyone knows ps4 can be backwards compatible with any previous gen consoles through emulation. Hell even with gamecube or n64, even though they are nintendo consoles. But companies dont work like that. Thet want us to buy 3 different consoles from 3 different companies plus a hendheld for two of those companies. And i must say the worst of them is absolutely sony, the only one who doesnt have backwards compatibility. And they expect us to pay for a subscription service to actually play old games (granted its 70+ games, but DAMN)?!?! I say HELL NO!! But your comment is inaccurate. Of course ps4 is backwards compatible with ps3, but sony doesnt want to do it cause of the $$$$ involved in doing so.NOTE: Im a Playstation fanboy. Love their games. But im not a sony fanboy. Hate that company.

Who doesn't love them? They were necessary and they haven't delayed KH3 because they were always planned to be released. Youre just salty if you think it delayed Kingdom Hearts 3. Oh and it not being on PS4? Well they were rebuilding KH1FM probably before they got there hands on PS4 Dev kit, and people bought a PS3 for KH3 but that didnt happen. Even if they were on PS4 they would have skipped a whole generation and come on, a HD remaster releasing with the launch of PS4?

One last thing, people complaining about they should port 1.5 & 2.5 to PS4 but are complaining about them delaying KH3?...

Nah, it can't. They have totally different architecture. And the subscription is optional.

They were made by the KH3 team. 67 people from the KH3 team worked on 2.5 and the KH3 team isn't that big.

Yes but they were all planned to be released to keep people up to speed.

Sony aren't going to announce backwards compatibility. They have a streaming service, and it's called PlayStation Now.

SE get to see DIsney movies before anyone else. Big Hero 6 would have made it regardless.

Big Hero 6 completed production at May 2014. May 2014 onward would have been the opportunity for Square Enix to see the finished product.

I highly doubt Big Hero 6 would have made it if KH3 was to be released 2011 - 2014 period.

KH3 was announced in 2013, and the first gameplay was shown in 2014 (which wasn't even actual gameplay). Without the HD remixes, we might have gotten KH3 in 2016 instead of 2017-18. No way it was going to come out during 2011-2014.

Yeah, 2016.

It would have been brilliant if they also released it for the PS4. And making more sense.

Yeah, 2016.

I think sacrificing one year in order to bring all the games into a smaller collection was necessary.

Besides, imagine if they didn't switch to the UE4, we would have gotten it much much later. Look at MGSV which was in developement since 2008, but it has a completely new engine.

They could have just outsourced like every other division in Square Enix and pretty much every other major developer in the world.

We finally got to play the Final Mix versions for the first time (except for those who played them on emulators I suppose),remastered soundtracks, wide screen, reaction commands for KHI,Birth by Sleep on a TV,all the games on one console,HD cutscenes for the worst games of the series so we don't have to play them.I like the HD remixes a lot too.

Which other division has done that?

As well like Nomura recently said these spin off titles enabled him to make experimentations on the mechanics to make the game even better than it possibly could have been. Like everything else in life it may not make sense now but later on it will be clear :)

Plus you obviously meant the remixes my friend :) its easy to get tongue tied in this ever growing and multiple term series of ours

Which other division has done that?

Division 1 outsourced X/X-2 HD to Virtuos. Division 2 outsourced Type-0 HD to HexaDrive. Division 9 outsourced III, IV, The After Years, V, VI to Matrix Software.

And these ReMIXes have delayed KH3.

I'll keep saying it. And yes, I do. If you have 67 people on the KH3 team working on remasters clearly their time isn't fully on KH3 and as such KH3 can not be released earlier.

That does not equate to actual evidence on anything. You're making assumptions and leaps in logic to justify your own constructed opinion based on your own perceived faults that you've made very clear in the past and spreading misinformation because of it. You can tell people that you think that's the case, but you have no case for it actually being that way.

For all you and I know, the remasters take away very little (to the point of no virtual delay) and you throwing out numbers does not change the fact nobody knows. And for all we do know, the latest HD collection has simply provided an easy way to relocate a piece of KHIII so that the actual game can grow without feeling bogged down.

The 67 number is from Nomura when a journalist asked him how many people were working on 2.5.

Remasters do take up quite a bit of time and resources. Just ask Naughty Dog, who have a lot more staff than the Osaka studio.
