To kick off D23 Expo Japan 2015, Disney and Square Enix are hosting a special event called the Kingdom Hearts Premium Theater. This is a private event in Japan, in which we expect some huge news for Kingdom Hearts III! Because we do not expect a livestream of the event, official or otherwise, we will be using this article to provide live updates in addition to articles covering any big announcements that come up. The doors will open at 10:00pm EST (7:00pm PT) and the event begins at 11:00pm EST (8:00pm PT). 4:06PM (USA EST): Pictures of the D23 Expo building posted!

10:00PM (USA EST): The doors for the theater have opened and people are heading in now!

10:09PM (USA EST): Fans have entered the theater!

10:16PM (USA EST): Hashimoto, executive producer of the Kingdom Hearts series, was spotted at the front of the theater!

10:26PM (USA EST): Rules of the theater announced. No video allowed.

11:00PM (USA EST): The event has begun! Information can't be released till 3AM (USA EST)

3:30AM (USA EST): A new nobody was revealed during the trailer! Look like someone we know?

3:45AM (USA EST): Nomura-san showed off a 3D model of Daybreak Town in KH3 graphics!

3:50AM (USA EST): The 3D model of Daybreak Town, as well as new areas of Mount Olympus were from a "Making of KH3" video that will stay exclusive to attendees of the event.

3:50AM (USA EST): All of the union leaders in KHχ were voiced in the KH2.8 trailer!

4:00AM (USA EST): The KH3 trailer ended with Sora, Roxas, Namine, Xion, Riku, Axel, Kairi, Aqua, Terra, and Ven sharing a nice moment!

We won't really know until 12:00AM-3:00AM. No one is allowed to record, photo, message, tweet, or post anything until the events are over.

The poor souls. Just bursting with enthusiasm and they can barely even express it.

 

Also, considering the timeline, it's likely that they meant Lea when they referred to Axel.

Why, why do they have to wait almost 24 hours to release the video! At least we got a couple pics...

GAH, I wish they would stop making so many of these trailers exclusive like that! We deserve to see how it's progressing too. And I wouldn't mind seeing a 3D model of Daybreak Town, let alone a Mount Olympus model. Grrr, well, they at least better show us most of everything else with the new trailer tomor-....to...night?...at 10PM.

Tokyo is 9 hours ahead of London. It's 9am in London, so it must be 6pm there. WHERE IS OUR TRAILER?

Why 1AM/10PM of all times though? If it's actually being posted in reference to time in the States, then why not pick a time like 12PM or 5PM? Why force everybody to stay up so late? I mean, it's people's choice whether they stay up or not, but come on, after a whole day of "no you can't see anything" who isn't going to break their sleep schedule for the sake of seeing at least one or two trailers?

This was a Japanese event, so they're releasing it by Japanese time zones. 1:00 AM here is like 3:00 pm there. That's assuming it's evendors released at all. I want to believe it will be bit it's been brought to my attention that there's no official source stating such (official as in coming straight for Disney's/Squares mouths)
