I was there on the stream of the direct that he and his friend did. They genuinely act this way. And they don't like Cloud either. Hell, their reaction to Cloud's challenger art is them crying over how the Nintendo characters represented on the art are "anime weeb Hentai" just because they were drawn in a different style.
