And dare I say they might give Dragon Quest another shot with Builders or Heroes II.

Oh well! It's best to give Square Enix more time even if they have too much on their hand.

Yes, they're doing a few. But if you're counting that then you have to count XIV, XI and a bunch of mobile games. Lol.

And yet they won't say 2016 in trailers or the press site. Plus delays happens and things said for one year come the next. Happens all the time.

Hmmm...I hadn't thought about the possibility of delays. If it comes in 2017, I won't mind since that means KH3 is likely coming 2018.

And if it comes 2018, I'll have turned 18 in the year of its release.

I don't think that will happen, it will probably be like with 2.5 where it released in December for international areas of the world, either or I'm sure that 2.8 will come out in 2016 for everyone

from the looks of the recent trailer i'd say they need that extra time to fix the funky looking graphics of 0.2

Well it depends when FFXV will be released. I will spent months for this game anyway.

Then early 2017 will be fine.

Does this disprove what you assume or if not, what does this mean?

I don't see what gives you the idea for a International release. 

 

I believe the releasedate won't be much diffrent as 2.5. JP in October and NA/EU in December. 

Aw man, I really hope this isn't the case!  I really, really hope that we get 2.8 this year!!!!  We have to get it this year!!!! D:  The latest we'd get the game would be December, like 2.5!  I have to keep my mind positive on this!!!! X_X

 

But, if it comes early 2017, I won't complain, but that just means we'll have to wait for Kingdom Hearts III for one more year!!!!

They always push it to the last minute in terms of the year. IDK WHY they do this, but OK.

 

It is worrying to see "Now in Development" for three KH titles. Two of which aren't that difficult to do localization wise in terms of Square's ability (KH3 is the exception at this point). At least Square has other titles in the works for 2016.

I was literally just thinking about this, and I think the possibility of it happening is not to be ruled out. However, with the recent tweets, it appears that KH2.8 is making rapid progression, as is KH3 for that matter.

 

However, I believe that we can expect 2.8HD at the end of this year, and Kingdom Hearts III at the end of 2017.

Hm. Not trying to criticize square, and I do want the highest quality product, but it seems pushing it back could hurt them. I will be 22 if it comes out mid 2018, and I'm going to assume most of Kh3's audience is around my age +- 3 years, and this territory is pushing people out of the video game realm.

 

Of course I could also just be blowing hot air because I know I will buy it, no matter when it comes out as long as I'm alive. (and I'd like to be buried with it if I'm not)
