Things to do while waiting for KH3

Posted

Hey there, everybody. So, just as the title suggests, I would really, REALLY appreciate if you guys gave me a list of things (I could/should) to do while we all patiently wait for KH3. "Why this?" you may ask? Simply because I'm almost dying internally (literally) to find out which Disney movies will become worlds in KH3. As for the game's (original) plot, I can wait as much time as it takes, but it just feels like I need to know the Disney worlds now, at this exact moment, right now, you understand? If SE did this, surely my anxiety would go down and I would certainly feel more relaxed (but they won't do that for obvious reasons). Hence why this topic was created: to help me distract myself with/by doing something else until, at least, the end of the year, when we will certainly have a good amount of information regarding KH3. The hype is not real for me, it's getting pretty damn serious.

Oh, and please, don't tell me to "play" other games, because the only consoles in my possession are a broken PS2 (of course, doesn't work anymore) and a SNES (which hasn't seen the sunlight since 2005/2006, in other words, locked up in my closet since then).

Anyway, any advice you guys might give is welcome, ok? Feel free to post your ideas/thoughts/advices/suggestions here...

^^ ^_^ ;)  :)  :D

How did you know my strategy???

But my PS2 (and my SNES too probably) doesn't work anymore. :(

Let's see, when the Big Hero 6 announcement came out, I was almosr in the same situation as you. I knew  I was getting too hung up, and Square Enix sure isn't helping with their lack of information so I just simply turn my attention away from it and focused on my other interest, such as drawing or other forms media unrelated to Kingdom Hearts. Slowly, but surely my hype dyed down because I switched my focus. So that's my way of doing it.

Definitely play other games, revise the saga's story, browse KH13, watch movies and TV shows (both live action and animation) & read books.

You can also download Minecraft onto your computer and play that.

Wait and practice patience. Impatience is the quality of the weak.

We just think alike. ;)

Well what other games do you like? And if you have no working systems but a decent PC you could always use Steam and search for games to play. :)

Peace!

You really don't have ANY other device?

Watch all the Disney animated movies (specifically the Disney animation Studios ones)

Find some friends to talk about something else. (I shouldn't be talking, since I have very few friends in real life xD ) You could focus your hype on another series. *COUGH COUGH* DIGIMON *COUGH*

It's still a long road to KH3, and it's only gonna get closer I believe.

Rock on!

I think you could do just about everything there is to do in the world and still be waiting for KH3. Personally, I think sleeping is dope af. Try that.

find something else to get invested in.

or just be patient. it's not as hard as it seems.

Play some of the FF games. Might give you some enhanced enjoyment if one of your favorite characters makes a cameo in KH3.

Go to the store and get a PS4 so you'll be ready for 2.8 when it comes out which should hold you over for a little while. :P

You are kidding. PS2 consoles are cheap. Go find one with games for $30.

Or play the oldschool Runescape :).

Bud, watch a buttload of anime, and that's sure to make your mind lose track of time, and with that being the case, you won't have to worry about waiting for KHIII, because before you know it, we'll get more news!  That's how it's worked for me!  Well, that and playing other video games, ya know?  The wait from 2013 to now has been bearable cuz I've been distracted all around, ya know? :3

Careful, friend. One thing you don't want to happen is getting burned out on Kingdom Hearts by the time the game is out. I know we've all been waiting for KH3 for at least a decade now, but if you obsess over something too much, you're bound to get sick of it. Trust me, it's happened to me numerous times in the past.

Like others have said you should try watching or playing something else for a while. I know that's probably not what you want to hear, but otherwise you'll burn yourself out.

Like The Transcendent Key said, anime and other games are a definite time killer recommendation. I recommend something fun, to calm your nerves a bit. For anime Azumanga Daioh is probably a good place to start, and if you have a 3DS you should look into Animal Crossing New Leaf.

Definitely play other games (1), revise the saga's story (2), browse KH13, watch movies and TV shows (both live action and animation) (3) & read books (4).

Thanks a lot, my friend, honestly, but :

1) Only got a broken PS2 and a (very old) SNES (which probably doesn't even work anymore, considering it's been locked for almost 10 years).

2) Don't you think that that's going to incite my hype (and anxiety) for KH3 even more?

3) Thanks to Kingdom Hearts series, now I can't watch a single TV show and movies without imagining Sora in them, helping the hero beating up the villains (even if this TV series and/or movie are non-Disney, like TMNT).

4) School has already destroyed my will/interest of reading books, even if they're good ones (by forcing us to read really boring books). Although there are some books that have really picked my interest (God of War, Assassin's Creed, and others), no lying.

5) You mean, download and play it for free? How good is this game? Just heard (a lot) about it, never really played it, though

Wait and practice patience. Impatience is the quality of the weak.

Wow, that was like a bullet at my heart, but you're right, you know?

We just think alike. ;)

1) Only got a broken PS2 and a (very old) SNES (which probably doesn't even work anymore). Anyway, answering your question: fighting games, JRPGS, and pretty much any, seriously, ANY kind of game (except sports {except Kinect and Wii} and dancing ones).

2) Can we play games in any kind of computer or does it have to be in a specific one?

You really have no idea how expensive a PS4 is in my country (even online).

oh idk. you could try looking into another series in books or tv or movies or games. while you have this downtime away from KH, try to see what else is out there for you to get invested in.

and i remember when it was hard to be patient but then the problem fixed itself for me when i became less emotionally invested in KH thanks to the constant disappointment i've gotten from the series.as for being patient in general, you just have to find other things to distract yourself with. get creative. maybe write or draw something if you have to.

just keep your mind busy and the passing of time will be less noticeable.

  • Well, there's tons!  If you like long anime, go for Inuyasha, which has about 193, Bleach, which has 366, and Fairy Tail, which has 175, and a second season that's got about 91 Episodes at the moment! :3  There's also tons of short anime like Attack On Titan, Sword Art Online, Guilty Crown, The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya, Clannad/Clannad Afterstory, Air, Kanon, Angel Beats, Soul Eater, Zero No Tsukaima, Darker Than Black, Death Parade, and tons more!
  • Yes, really!  Over the last three years, I've been shocked by how fast time has flown by, and as a result, the new KH news we've gotten over the years have made me happy, and all thanks to being distracted and not distressing over dry season, ya know? :3
  • Yesss, I'm very hopeful we'll get more news soon! :D
  • Hmm, well, can't you see if you can get your PS2 fixed?  If not, well, you can always watch Let's Play's of games on Youtube, which is kinda like playing a game, except that it's another person playing, and you're just watching! :O
  • Yep, with all these things.  Well, that, and also doing the chores of the house, and hanging out with my friends and family.  Ya know, that helps too! :3

Hang in there bud, the wait will soon be over, and we'll all have KHIII before you know it! :3
