What Do You Think Naughty Dog Will Do Now?

Posted

Now that they are done with Uncharted what do you think they'll work on next? I would love it if they announced TLOU2 because the TLOU was an amazing game with good replay value. The gameplay was just pure genious as well. Especially when you play it on Grounded dificulty. That's when you truly know how the characters felt, physically. Though thinking about it now, I need to get back to that game and finish it on that mode lol.

Jak 4 if possible but i doubt it.

That would be a nice surprise.

For the love of the fans, bring back Crash Bandicoot.

Yes! This so much! But sadly, I don't think they'll ever buy back the rights to Crash Bandicoot since they sold him off to another crappy company that ruined him.

Yeah, The Last Of Us 2 would definitely be awesome, but I want to see if Naughty Dog will go back to either Jak And Daxter or Crash Bandicoot, cuz I really want to see a new game from either franchise!  A lot of fans have been wanting Crash to make a comeback, so Naughty Dog could capitalize on the fan's wishes and deliver an amazing Crash game!  Another Jak game would be insane too!!!

Or maybe they'll make a whole new IP!  Who knows? :3

I think it's either:

TLOU2

Jak4

New IP

Either a The Last of Us Squeal or a new Jak game or possibility a Crash game because they have it as an Easter Egg in Uncharted 4 where Drake plays a level from the first game or something like that so who knows

I haven't played to many of their games beyond Uncharted but it would be cool to see them do more with their other flagship franchises, it would at least make for a good excuse for me to marathon some games like Jak and Daxter.

they'll put focus on the last of us franchise

most likely a sequel to TLOU, which is a shame because personally i didn't feel as though the game needed a sequel. it had a good self-contained story.

in most cases a story could go on forever theoretically in sequels but that doesn't mean it HAS to.

Based on all the information we have, it can be assumed that it will either be (in descending order of likelihood): The Last of Us 2, another Jak game, or a return to Crash Bandicoot.

The Last of Us II (The Two of Us, lol?), that would be both the obvious and safe direction. But there's also the possibility of a new IP, I can see them doing another "PlayStation Platformer", try and help the new kids get in on the fun from OG Developers. Though with that Crash stuff... I don't know, it just better not be another Jak, unless it's similar to that new Ratchet & Clank game.

New Jak game plz.

But it will probably be a reskinned Uncharted game masquerading as a "new IP"

My heart yearns for a new Jak and Daxter game. It doesn't look likely though, they tried to reboot it before (rather recently too) with a more gritty and serious feel, only to cancel it pretty quickly. But maybe they'll reconsider it after seeing Ratchett and Clank's success - they might see where the money is.

Jak 4 if possible but i doubt it.

ND confirmed that will not be going back to Jak, like...ever.

They never outright stated this.

They never outright stated this.

They literally said this in one of their recent documentaries. Either it was the on for The Last of Us, or their 30th anniversary. Naughty Dog tried to make Jak 4, figured to do that they had to reboot Jak as a whole and saw it wasn't working out well and scrapped it. Then they went on to say they weren't gonna do Jak.

Exactly.

They never outright stated they were never gonna do another one. Most of the time most companies never outright say they'll never do something, rather they say something completely vague, like "is never off the table" or "it doesn't mean that we wouldn't be able to do it in the future" or something like that.

Even if it means a 3% chance of it happening in the year 2025,at least it means there's still some hope...albeit very small but it's still something.

They'll probably do The Last of Us 2. The first one was far too much of a success for Naughty Dog to not make a sequel.

Personally, I'd like to see them go back to their roots and make something in the same vein as Crash or Jak & Daxter.
