It really feels more like a bridge game and I think it will age better in that aspect for me personally when you can just play four right after

Yeah the further we get away from the idea that 3 was ever a conclusion of any kind the better it becomes

Even though it was marketed as one

Its not JUST younger fans of course lot of long time fans like it too but I feel theres this unspoken narrative that people who dont like 3 think people that do are wrong or lying to themselves about it.

None of the handheld games get that treatment only 3 and the mobile games

And that to me isnt fair to 3.

I still hope we get a multi-player kh game soon

Not before 4 obviously but after it would be nice

And there is that straw man that like three was never going to be the end of the series in like that was never the common consensus. It was a big thing about being the finale of the series so far the end of the main saga and all that and it just doesn't really feel it. Newer fans don't really have those expectations and yeah I know people demonize expectations sorry for being human but like new fans just play through it experience it as is It's a very different experience

I think they underestimate the production values necessary to realize missing link

Its always the story with Kingdom Hearts- when people who got into it from day one were harsher on KH2, when those fans and ones who started with 2 reacted to the next games, and eventually I predict people that started with 3 will be harsher on 4.

Its a Neverending cycle.

Gonna be honest, that was what soured me the most at the time- I could have handled everything the game threw at me til then, but Sora fading away, the "modern day" look of what would be Quadratum, or as I like to call it. ✨️Square Town✨️- i was done bro lmao When i joined the server in 2022 I hadn't played a KH game since 2020, and wouldnt play one again until 2024-ish or so, maybe 2023
