The pants and shoes are my biggest issues

People are throwing out "realism" as the reason why Sora looks bland, but Strelitzia and Sigurd stick out like a sore thumb, that excuse doesn't exactly work here

the leather jacket really bothers me. he's always been in bulkier poofier clothing and that first one is a great example of how it could have still looked great with more simple clothing design. but they have him skin tight leather jacket instead of a baggier zip up

Neku would look at Sora and just be disappointed in his drip...

all it'll take is another trailer confirming that he has a different look for the majority of the game outside of quadratum for people to shut up a little about all of this (and i mean the people elsewhere who are making a lot more noise about it)

maybe the point is that he's supposed to have 0 drip around all these people because he's from another world and from a tiny ass island /copium

That excuse was just really weird because I think it was obvious since 4 years ago this is his new outfit

Coco just doubled down on it now too, I don't know where this denial is coming from

i think that idea has fallen apart considering coco

I still don't really like that but I guess

i was genuinely hoping for it to be quadratum exclusive but coco has killed all my hopes

One way that this might be better is if there is customization

And its our job to drip Sora up

So there is at least a function for how bland he is

only the face change because you can buy new clothes in quadratum

they did mess with the customization idea with 0.2

there's hope

even if it's not full customization and just "levels" of sets until he gets one that more closely resembles himself

oh huh, didn't notice that in the trailer. guess it just wasn't an issue for me so i didn't think much of it

i personally think his design is fine, all the edits i've seen are ridiculous

His design isn't bad, it's just boring

They said there’s character customization so maybe this this their way of giving you a canvas to customize

Kingdom hearts, and sora in general are goofy characters. With Sora also not having two very iconic designs, but his silhouette is also very unique where it's very easy to recognize him.
