Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX confirmed for North America and Europe

Square Enix North America (announcement) and Square Enix Europe (announcement) have both confirmed that Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX will be receiving releases in North America, Europe, and PAL territories. The release date for all regions is currently set for Fall/Autumn 2013 (either September, October or November).

The RRP for the title in Europe will be 39.99 Euro, and the European/PAL releases are said to be "localised in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish". The exact details for this are explained below:

Kingdom Hearts Final Mix will be dubbed in English, French, and German with EFIGS subtitles. Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories and Kingdom Heats 358/2 Days will be English dubs with EFIGS subtitles.

The following screenshots and artwork were released along with the announcement. Currently, these are some of the best quality screenshots, and the highest resolution of the logo and key artwork that we have seen so far. Square Enix Europe also promised "a lovely gameplay trailer for you to drool over soon", and "more news for you in the coming months". Look forward to it!

Square Enix North America have also transformed the official Kingdom Hearts portal website into a website for Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX. Make sure you check it out!

Update: Robert Peeler, Community Manager for Square Enix, answered some questions about HD 1.5 ReMIX on the North American PlayStation Blog. While there was no new details revealed, he did state the following:

We're not replacing the tracks, the audio is being improved for better sound quality.

He also said that more details will be available in the future.

The noise I made was inhuman...I'll be broke by November with Pokemon X and Y and now this. It's pretty cheap, though. Anyway, I'm so glad that I can finally play Re: Com. Hopefully we'll get a specific release date soon

Ohyeah with final mix! Can't believe that people are complaining about the release date. We are getting it!

Now Nomura needs to confirm 2.5 like the secret message says.

There are good reasons to complain about the release of this game. First off that is WAY too long to release an HD port of a few games that came out already. No other HD collection has taken this long to be released as far as i know. And another reason to complauin is becausde the fall is one of the busiest months for games to come out. And if you haven't noticed, a ton of stuff is coming out during the fall.

what about the NA price??...might it be 39.99$?? :S

All HD collections that have been released have been at the price of $39.99 so we can expect it to cost that much.

Heh, I wonder why it took SE so long to officially confirm this after McCartney leaked it all over the internets. Also, I'm happy at that Fall release date, gives me more time to save up for a PS3. :D

Even though this is great news (especially the KHFM getting dubbed) it's still questionable why it will take 6 - 8 months to release a game that remasters 3 games. I mean even though it's 3 games, its still just a remaster (and remake as well) so it will take 2 - 3 months tops. Also KH3D NA/EU/AUSI versions came out at the end of July, which is 4 months.

Though not a Video game creator connoisseur, from just the looks of it, it should take a couple of months.

Besides from Jesse's tweet, it seems like they started 1 or 2 months ago.

Hm mayby. I can wait for that games when they are cheaper.

I hope there will be a special edition of the game let see if the japanners will get one.

Kingdom Hearts Final Mix will be dubbed in English

Projecting into the future now, but holy shit that means we might actually get KH2FM's scenes in English too! (when it comes out)

Well if you would rather get the next Call of Duty over this then be my guest.Personally, I'd take this over the PS4. But that's me, if you don't want t you don't have to buy it.

Does anyone else find the timing a little convenient that it's announced not even a week after the ps4 announcement? maybe they'll do a ps4 bundle along with a ps3 bundle

Edit: but I could just be reading too much into the timing lol

My life is made until 1.5 comes out. Then my life will be made until 2.5 comes out. Then my life will be completed once KH3 comes out.

I happy about this and everything, but we kinda knew since the voice of Roxas was seen dubbing the game. So really this isn't much news. But I am also happy to hear when it will come out.

Hi there everyone, sorry for having kind of been away from the site ever since KH3D released!Came back just to comment, actually. Good news for KH fans everywhere, especially worldwide fans who will FINALLY get to play the Final Mix version of the first KH (and Europeans like me, who will finally get to play Re:COM). Also, full localized subtitles once again? LOL, Square Enix does learn from such mistakes as the partially untranslated KH3D. Surely an awesome game, but man, did the Spanish and Italian (like me) KH fans ever come back and bite them in the ass!

YES, now a kh2.5 release in 2015, and kh3 release in 2017!!!!!!

KH 2.5 is probably going to come out on 2014.

If there is another remake title or something, then that will come out for 2015. If there is none, high chance we might get KH3.

And since Versus has to finish before KH3 is released, expect Versus during 2013 or 2014.
