The Football Thread (association football)
12 days I believe. It's before the CL final any ways. It won't be an easy task I'd say, but the teams we've beaten to even get to the final... We have to have a real go at the game.

The Football Thread (association football)
INTO THE FINAL! We absolutely bossed Villareal that game! So happy for my team Basel here we come! Problem is does he effectively drop his captain to the bench? Something tells me he won't and if he does then the media will spin it on its head as something more than just because the player doesn't deserve a start.

The Football Thread (association football)
The only thing England are good at doing is qualifying I'll be an Irish and English neutral this year. Both teams won't do well. The media will over hype England players and trash the team regardless how they do. I do think Roy needs to like, not even think about playing Rooney. England play worse with him in the side and I think players like Kane, Vardy and Sturridge (his goalscoring talent is undeniable even if I'll be a biased Liverpool fan) are more deserving of a place up front. Hopefully the expanded number of teams make the tournament a good one. I have no bets or anything as to who might win, but I hope it's a good tournament.

You forgot to mention England failing to show up at a major tournament as per usual.

I adjusted to the 3DS Street Fighter controls sooner than I'd expected. ._.
I got SSF4 3D with my 3DS at launch. It was a pretty solid game for the system. Have you tried the online? (If it is even still populated) The number of people spamming Guile's Flash Kick/Sonic Boom thanks to the touch screen controls were ridiculous back then. I always got ruined online if I played people who were using the "buttons only" so it was my only way to play.

Why the hate on 2.8?
I can understand the hate. Not a lot of people like KH3D in comparison to what 1.5 and 2.5 offered in terms of full games. Back Cover is also far shorter than both Days and Re:coded. Personally I'm excited for 0.2 Birth by Sleep, because I love both Aqua and new plot. I understand the issues with cost, but I wasn't surprised by the €60 price tag to be honest. It's a PS4 game and there was no way (after what Square Enix did with Type-0 HD) that it would be sold for €40 like 1.5 and 2.5 were. It sucks I know, but with both Back Cover and 0.2 BbS being developed on the new engine, and KH3D being essentially re-worked for bigger single screens, I just think Square Enix are looking for an excuse to bump the price up. PS3 Remasters had a somewhat default $40/€40 price and it's understandable that 1.5 & 2.5 followed this trend. While nowadays on the newer systems we've seen remasters charge whatever they like (Zelda TP HD was €60, while Type-0 HD cost me €70 on PS4). Of course there could also be hate for the game not making it's way to Xbox One as KH3 is, but this hate would have stretched back to 1.5 & 2.5 also not appearing on the Microsoft platform. Overall, people are gonna complain and others aren't. We all knew KH3D would be remastered as it was the only important game missing from 1.5 & 2.5. The additions of Back Cover and 0.2 BbS seem to be there to pad out the collection that little bit just for more of a connection to KH3. If you are fine with that then enjoy 2.8. If you aren't then you've already made up your mind and more power to you.

And unchained officially became a wait to play.
I'm filling up the Avatar boards as best as I can. While also getting 3-star on most if not all missions that I play through. My level is 58 and I've accumulated nearly 1900 Avatar coins according to my stats. I'm not stupid and I have been increasing my Keyblade Cost / HP / AP every chance I get through the boards. It's fine that there are ways to reset your AP back to full (like leveling up), but it's unnecessary that story missions are the AP cost that they are in the later missions. If I want to play the game purely for the bare bones story that is present then they should not have made the Half-AP campaign something available for a brief period. Like I said previously, I think the high cost AP is fine for Events and Special missions, that makes sense as you are essentially grinding for stuff any ways. I just think the story missions are too high cost for what they are; short bursts that are often not very rewarding.

What KINGDOM HEARTS will be at E3? (KH Discussion)
Kingdom Hearts III has been at E3 2013, 2014 & 2015. While the E3 2014 clip was more of a teaser attached to the 2.5 trailer, they could easily do something similar if they wanted to promote 2.8 while still reminding us of KH3. I wouldn't write off the appearance of KH3 just yet because Square Enix could surprise us with something. Personally, I'm hoping they show us some of that Big Hero 6 world

A Kingdom Hearts 3 collector's edition will happen, but what will it have and how much will it be?
It'll probably be the standard stuff like an artbook, select few OST tracks or something. No doubt they'll try to keep the PS4 and Xbox One versions the same, but I'd love a KH themed Cover Bay for the PS4 to be included. That'd be really cool. Regardless what will be added, I'll no doubt probably buy it. Here's hoping they don't region lock the Square Enix EU Store like they did for the 2.5 Collector's Edition though. Then I will really be upset.

Is paper mario color splash going to be the last wii u game for this year?
Yeah and I guess I can see why people dislike it for that reason. Paper Mario has really become something far different to what it was on the N64 and Gamecube. I bought Paper Mario on the VC and it's a blast to play. I'd like Nintendo to have gone that route instead of this sticker stuff. Though I haven't played the 3DS version so I dunno how bad it actually is. It seems Nintendo almost tried to cater towards the Paper Mario fanbase by including him in Mario & Luigi Paper Jam.

What do you guys think about Dream Drop Distance? Did you like it, Did you not. Please give a reason..
I enjoyed the game. I liked the worlds. I liked the gameplay. Flowmotion was a really fun broken mechanic. The story, in particular from TWTNW on, was a clusterfudge. I remember having to actually pause one of the cutscenes to sit back and comprehend what was being said. I found the game to have a more open ending than Chain of Memories did in terms of bridging the gap. Though I guess it remains to be seen how Kingdom Hearts III starts off and ties into KH3D's ending. I dunno, it gets a lot of hate for it's story and balance issues, but I liked Dream Drop Distance and I'm looking forward to playing it again in 2.8.

Is paper mario color splash going to be the last wii u game for this year?
You know, I liked the first Mario & Sonic game on Wii. It was fun with friends and family. If the Rio one is any good and I can get a few people together to play it then it might be something that I'll consider getting. Problem is I already have better multiplayer games in Smash, Mario Kart 8 and Super Mario 3D World I haven't played the 3DS Paper Mario (but I'm aware of the negativity behind it), but I was one of the few that actually liked the trailer for Colour Splash. Something about it seemed charming. If it's a lower priced game like Mario Maker, Kirby or Captain Toad were then I may keep a closer eye on it. The last Paper Mario game I played was the one on Wii and I thought it was good. Yet the internet hated it too. The changing from 2D to 3D was a neat feature.

And unchained officially became a wait to play.
I agree with the complaints. It seems silly to just dismiss this as "Square Enix have to make their money somehow". I played up to Mission 110 or so with the Half-AP campaign and I wasn't playing the game constantly so I didn't really feel the full advantage of the campaign (oh well boo hoo me). Yet, the other day I decided to boot up the game, I had free time why not? My missions now cost 10 AP and I've only got a max of 45 AP. I feel no reason to spend 100 Jewels to restore my AP if I am some 100 LUX away from leveling up (which will only to fully restore the AP any ways), so I have to wait. It's frustrating that the cost of story missions are so high in AP if anything. I can understand for Events and Special Missions, but not Story ones. Now when I know I have free time to play the game I think, "what's the point? I'll only get to play 4 or 5 missions before turning it off again." Unchained X is currently not doing much to hold my attention in terms of story and by removing the Half-AP campaign (or just having high AP cost missions in general) is doing nothing to help me try and give the game more of a chance. I know it's a 'standard' of mobile games to have some sort of stamina bar to prevent you from doing a lot without paying or waiting, but that doesn't mean it's an ok thing to implement. Companies need to stop following what other mobile games do and set a new standard otherwise people will always have the perception of mobile gaming being nothing more than a cash-grab.

Is paper mario color splash going to be the last wii u game for this year?
If they launch it as their holiday game then definitely. If Nintendo doesn't announce something else then it very well could be the last Wii U game for the year. The last retail game I bought from them was Pokken Tournament and I haven't played that in over a month, so I dunno if I'll even pick up Paper Mario (especially if they charge €60 for it).

Who is the least liked Kingdom Hearts exclusive character?
My two least favourites are Xion and Terra. I'm not going to rant for paragraphs as to why though, but if I did it'd have more thought process gone into it than both the characters combined.

2.8 is very likely to launch this year. Release speculation.
They more than likely will pull a December release date to make us wait right to the end of the year.

358/2 Days Is a Bad Game
When I originally played Days I really liked it. As time went on though I grew to realise that it wasn't all that spectacular. The HD cutscenes in 1.5 showed me how boring the story was (even if I really appreciated the cutscenes existing in that format). Don't get me wrong I like Roxas and the Organisation as a whole, but there was one character that ruined the game for me and that was Xion. Sure her final scene packed an emotional punch when I originally played it, but I'm going to blame that on Yoko Shimomura's ridiculously good music associated with the scene. I just didn't care for her as a character and if/when she returns in Kingdom Hearts III I'll be groaning as to why we should care about "a puppet". The gameplay was choppy. It seemed they tried to cram a KH2 battle system into the DS and the fewer buttons made this a drag. They definitely got it right in Re:coded with the commands that's for sure. Though I liked the Limit attacks in Days when your health got low. I dunno it's definitely one of the weaker handheld games for me and next to Re:coded and KH3D, the only KH game I haven't felt the need to replay. I'm glad I got to at least experience more of Roxas as a character though.

Overwatch, Blizzard's new First Person Shooter IP.
Ah I see, I figured as much. I'm interested in the characters and all that, the animated shorts have been really cool, but despite being a Blizzard fan Overwatch just doesn't grab me from a gameplay perspective. I'll see how the gameplay and stuff fairs and maybe I'll pick it up later down the line, but none of my friends who I played WoW with or anything seem fussed about the game so I'm not gonna jump into a multiplayer-only game if I have nobody (but randoms) to play with Still though, massive fan of the aesthetics of the world. I'd love a animated series or something that's for sure.
