Hmm, maybe compliment what they are wearing too if something catches your eye? Like a band t-shirt, game t-shirt, bracelets, necklaces, etc? Also when you are talking to new people, try to use "you" and just kinda focus stuff around them and not as much as yourself. Idk, I'm socially awkward as well. And I know what you mean by the interrogation part, lmao.

...Zantetsuken isn't an example of eccentricity. Just that it sounds cooler than "True Iron Cutter"

English kinda tends to come out awkward for japanese speakers. There's a lot of sounds used in english that doesn't exist in japanese (like Ls, the "te" in "team", etc). Plus there's a lot of words adopted from english that don't sound 100% the same.
