Tomorrow I get to find out just how much of a firetruckup I've been in my history class this semester. I just hope it's not so bad that I don't pass... funny how everything might get derailed because of one class.

So my short story got accepted to my campus's creative writing book for next semester. This is the part where I'd be proud, except they flat-out said they were accepting submissions "willy nilly" this issue.

Just watched Frozen. Pretty awesome imo. I'm just concerned about the possible influx of Jack Frost/Elsa shippers on dA, and thus, the wars between them and the Jack/Merida shippers.
Caity repliedWho ships Jack and Merida? I thought the Big Four were Rapunzel and Jack, Merida and Finn(? think it's Finn, I haven't actually see How to train your dragon)
Dracozombie repliedOh, you're right. It's Hiccup that's usually paired with Merida. In any event, I'll bet a shipping fight of some sort will break out somewhere.

Holy hell, for all I know, we could be writing fanfiction for our final exam in one of my classes.
Dracozombie repliedI think we're supposed to do a crossover, but like I said, it's exclusive to the material we read in class.
Haha, unfortunately I might have to remain sober for this one. We're supposed to write it ahead of time and we need to be smart about it. The class is about theoretical stuff, so I'd need to plan it out if this is the route our professor's taking.

I'm critiquing a story where the author writes like she's thirteen. We're both in an upper division creative writing course at university. This has numerous unsettling implications.

It's depressing how many of my peers, who are taking an upper division creative writing course geared towards their English major, can't so much as format a sentence tag properly. #first world english university problems

OK, ok, ok, WataMote is certainly growing on me I'll admit. She kind of reminds me of you to be honest, that's how I picture your younger self.

She was still inept and batshit insane, though. At least Tomoko is too withdrawn to chase her enemies while screaming like a maniac.

Today I learned that anyone with an English major isn't human, because it's human nature to not have the patience to read more than 150 characters at a time. I love my archery club.

Uh-oh. I think it was a mistake to critique someone's story for class after I worked on my fanfic MST. It's not that great a story and I think I'll be ruining someone's day in an hour and a half.
Dracozombie repliedIt's not my job to salvage it, though. It's just my job to point out everything wrong, and there was a lot.
Dracozombie repliedI had an assignment in Narrative Writing where we critique peoples' stories. I realized honest and helpful critiques were difficult when, at the same time, I'm tearing my own story a new asshole via MST. It was worse because the story I'm critiquing (not my fanfic I'm MSTing, though it's also bad) had many glaring problems.

OK so Kyubey (sp?) grants you any wish as long as you become a magical girl, right? So what if you wished to be a Mahou Shounen (magical boy) or a magical turtle or a magical zombie, or-or-or-OOORR the perfect antithesis...a magical witch? Or Kyubey himself?! DUN DUN DDUUUUN!
Dracozombie repliedI think there are limits to what Kyubey can grant that are proportional to the candidate's potential for Magical Girl-hood. Somehow I get the feeling magic turtles and zombies are beyond his grasp. And the magical witch might divide the universe by zero.
