  1. I hear the twitter account that posted the opening is leaking info on the game, but the community isn't really sharing any of it out of respect which is great.
  2. I thought Sora's Keyblade was special because it could seal the Door the Darkness from the side of the Realm of Light. We don't really know where any of the Keyblades came from except for the "No Name" so I doubt that is what makes it special.
  3. For me, I guess it's the fact that I grew up with it. I was in elementary school when I first played and now I'm in Uni and it's always been apart of my life. So when I think of Kingdom Hearts...I think of my life, of all the growing up I did, of past memories and such. So it's definitely very important to me. I also relate to Riku's character arc on a deeper level. His struggle against his own darkness is something I think a lot of people actually go through in life.
  4. I didn't want to see the opening, but I was tryna hear the song. Guess I'll have to wait 'til January since I missed everything.
  5. Oh, I didn't think of that. It's crazy how much we've seen of KHIII and how little we know. It's all about the context I guess.
  6. Apprentice Xehanort did have amnesia, but it's possible he recalled his past in that one scene or around the time it happened considering he was even able to summon his Keyblade and then turned himself into Ansem, Seeker of Darkness and Xemnas (which we now know was planned). And yes, I do think that Xehanort only sent a piece of his heart towards Sora. If it had been his whole heart, he probably would've faded away.
  7. Xaldin. I HATED fighting him when I was 10 lol, but I really dig his character design and his personality. And now, I'm actually able to beat him without too much difficulty lol.
  8. I just really like Braveheart and Two Become One, just because of the designs. I like the simplicity of these Keyblades. I also like the Foretellers' keyblades. They're really cool, especially the unicornis and leopardis ones. I dislike most of the keyblades from KHDDD.
  9. I think Xemnas only has vague memories of Terra's past and it's all mixed up in his head with Xehanort's will. His actions are mostly influenced by Xehanort's desires but I think he still wants to know about that other part of him. In the end, I think he followed the path that Xehanort had set because Terra's will to reunite with his friends does not exist within Xehanort. Terra's will actually is outside of his nobody (within the Lingering Will). So I think that in the end, Xehanort's obsession with Kingdom Hearts influenced Xemnas more than his curiosity about Terra's past.
  10. Was Larxene acting friendly? I thought she was just being sarcastic. She's probably still as mean and crazy as ever. But yeah, it is weird that they're back considering Xemnas himself said that they were unfit to be Organization members in KHDDD.
  11. I don't think that's necessary. Keyblade wielders are supposed to be rare anyways so making them Keyblade wielders would make that statement lose a lot of weight (not that it hasn't already.)
  12. After seeing the most recent trailer, I must say I don't really mind Alyson voicing Kairi. In that scene where she says "Don't hold back Lea, promise?". She sounded a lot like Hayden.
  13. I think the star was symbolic as well. The color purple in the KH series represents darkness so I think that it was just meant to represent Xehanort's fixation on darkness and how that led him to do all the things he did in the KH series.
  14. I don't think that was confirmed anywhere. I believe it's a theory because the Keychain is a Mickey Mouse head just like the Kingdom Key and Kingdom Key D. But yeah I think it might be the Keyblade of the Realm Between as well. As for how Riku gets it...I guess we'll have to see in KHIII. It probably happens after his Way to the Dawn gets "shattered" in the Realm of Darkness.
  15. No spoilers here. Glad to hear you liked the game. I can't wait to play for myself. Not much longer
  16. Hahaha you look so much more excited than the people you're watching this with! Great reaction!
  17. From a marketing standpoint, I don't know if that's a good idea. Playthroughs make for some really good promo for any game and it seems Disney and Square Enix are REALLY pushing for KHIII to be a commercial hit.
  18. Yeah I know, but since it's the same thing with Master Xehanort and Young Xehanort. I think Apprentice Xehanort and Terranort are distinct enough on the level of their character design, personalities, mindsets and such, to be separate organization members.
  19. Those are interesting questions. I don't think Xehanort is possessed personally. This "You thought I was the villain but really...THIS PERSON is the villain" trick has been used before. Twice. When we learned that Ansem was the villain of KH1 and in KHBBS when we learned that Xehanort had actually been the villain of every single game since the beginning. So, I don't think we'll be seeing that plot twist happen again. As for how possession affects people and works...I think it might have to do with the way they're being possessed. For Terra, Xehanort transferred his WHOLE heart inside Terra. So that's why I think he managed to have control over Terra's body. And even then, Terra fought back which ended up giving Terra-Xehanort amnesia, so although Terra-Xehanort still had the desires of Xehanort, Xehanort wasn't exactly in control. For the other members, Xehanort is just putting a piece of his heart inside them, so maybe it doesn't affect them as much.
  20. I'm disappointed that there are no FF characters as well. I would've preferred another world from an old Disney movie such as Agrabah, The Land of Dragons or a new one like Atlantis over 100 acre wood I think it's really dumb that Lea is still wearing an organization coat. I'm still trying to figure out why KHUX is relevant to KHIII and I'm kind of annoyed that it is.
  21. Now THAT is something I'd really like to see! I think some Disney bosses will just be summoned Heartless (Hans, Mother Gothel as you guys said) and others will be actual villains (Hades, Baymax, maybe Randall as some of you said). There will also be Organization members in the Disney worlds so maybe some cooperation between Disney villains and the Organization can happen...So we might get nobodies as bosses for Disney worlds as well.
  22. Time travel definitely wasn't necessary to explain how Ansem and Xemnas are back. That being said, I think Nomura also wanted to make a point that ALL the games in the series were connected through Time Travel and that everything was leading up to what's going to go down in KHIII. It was basically a way to tie everything together so that's why I think it's still kinda relevant. And yeah, I was hoping we'd see more Xehanort incarnations from the past as new Seekers like Apprentice Xehanort, Terra-Xehanort, Riku when he was possessed by Ansem, No Heart, etc. And then they could've added a few old Organization members such as Marluxia and Xaldin to complete the line-up, but since they went with old Organization members for the most part...the time traveling has lost a lot of weight in the story, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
  23. I wonder if there will be more Non-Disney themed Keyblades, I think I might be tempted to use those. I like the Tangled Keyblade a lot, as well as the Shooting Star...I guess a third one would be the BH6 Keyblade as it recreates attacks from a lot of other Keyblade Transformations.
  24. Yeah I'm thinking KHIV will be the next game as well, but with how things are going right now...I think it might be a PS6 game hahaha. Seriously though, 6 years focusing on FFVIIR and then say another 3-4 years to do KHIV (Assuming they don't start working on KHIV until FFVIIR is done). But if Nomura works on both KHIV and FFVIIR at the same time, we might see KHIV on next-gen consoles. Has Tai Yasue ever directed a game by his lonesome? I would like to see what kind of job he would do if he was the sole director. As for Nomura not working as director on the next KH, I'm not sure that would really "free" him. Nomura's already pretty free. He's not tied to a specific business division and ALWAYS works on multiple projects at the same time to express his creativity. And he's already said he has a plan and ideas for the next saga so I think he's going to want to be in charge of the next KH projects.
