  1. I meant the in-game load times (drive, between cutscenes, etc.)
  2. Those super-fast load times though
  3. That makes sense considering his contributions to the fields he works in. But what's being suggested above is just unfunny forced memes.
  4. "BoatyMcBoatFace" (or whatever it was) was stupid then, and the same sentiment is still stupid now. (Read: all the above names are an idiotic name for a public service.)
  5. It took you this long to figure that out?
  6. You say this of a series that has depicted, among other things, graphic on-screen depictions of murder and suicide since its beginning! Not that I particularly care about LotR (and it honestly wouldn't get in anyway), but it's utterly foolish to say Kingdom Hearts wouldn't be able to handle PG-13 rated themes and situations.
  7. >not including FF4 More serious note: I know a lot of people dismiss IV due to its age, but it's really where the series hits its stride, the first FF to include (or at least popularise) a lot of the stuff the series is famous for (lore, character development, etc.); many, many JRPGs post-'91 owe something to it (with the notable exception of the Dragon Quest series, which is basically its own pop-culture phenomenon in Japan). If there's anything I'd call "classic" FF, it's probably IV. I say play the DS version (or one of its ports), since it has easily the best translation, and some story points not included on the SNES.
  8. Honestly? Not particularly excited. I prefer the situation right where it is now; Disney allows permission for using their works as a sort of background, but Square does the heavy lifting where it actually matters. I got into this series because of the original content anyway, not Disney or even FF.
  9. We 60fps now. Also, this bloody heat wave needs to go away!
  10. Suffice to say I have issues with Days' handling of it...not that it's necessarily bad, but it just feels off.
  11. Basically any CoM scene with Axel in it, simply because they jar so badly with my (admittedly biased) interpretation of him (KH2-onward) that I'm often of half a mind to split each incarnation as separate characters, even though I know that's not true. I hope they deal with this in KH3 tbh.
  12. The chucklef*** who created "refused classification" (which is the REAL problem with the ratings system) needs to be exposed and humiliated tbh.
  13. The worst thing about living out west is that we don't get the east's sea breeze (weather moderator). Yes I use the lounge room's air conditioner, but the electricity bill's going to spike when it next comes 'round.
  14. >tfw 41°C on 2.8's release day / thanks, Sydney's schizophrenic weather!
  15. Mario is Missing 2: Luigi is Missing Instead
  16. Can someone link to an unaltered copy of the English version of Back Cover? I only see the Japanese on cyber's channel, and the only video of the English I can find has some streamer talking over it.

    But it's dizzying.
  18. 60fps makes my head hurt
  19. All the juicy parts are blocked, streamer's using the ps4's in built stream function (instead of a capture card...seriously, what?)
  20. That was the best thing to come out of 2016 though. SPOILER ALERT, and for anyone interested,
  21. The last thing any Square game needs is him. Gilgamesh wasn't funny then, he isn't now.
