I mean that we are now getting a prologue to KH3, which is awesome. But a lot of games these days are so focused on generating hype, with 20 different pre-order bonuses, and prologues to the games we really want to see. I'm just not sure whether this is a good thing or a bad thing.

I'm pretty sure "Final Chapter Prologue" is a dumber name "Dream Drop Distance". It makes more grammatical sense, but it perfectly illustrates a flaw of Square and the gaming industry as a whole.

The games I played on my PS2 the most were: Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2, Final Fantasy X, X-2 and Ratchet & Clank 1, 2 & 3. Which I have all played remastered on PS3. So I actually don't really care that much about PS2 classics. Oh wait, I forgot Drakengard! Yeah, go PS2 classics!

You can actually discuss the story, speculate about upcoming plot points and argue over what is and is not reasonable. You can't really do that for gameplay; I mean, I love the gameplay, it's what got me into the series. The story didn't really get through to my tiny child mind back in 2003. It's possible to share gameplay strategies, advice about game mechanics and that sort of stuff, but you can't argue about it like the story. So I'm a category A kinda guy.

They're totally not useless, and almost necessary for certain stuff, but in the heat of the moment I tend to forget about them.

Let's see... Caius travels through time, but doesn't really manipulate it that much, since what he's trying to prevent happens over and over. Young Xehanort basically gets given time powers by his future self, so that's cheating. Ultimecia is from the future, and is a really dumb villain. Lavos I'm not too familiar with, but considering he lay dormant for most of the history of the world, he is a bad time traveler. Which leaves the Time Mage, who literally has the word 'time' in his name, so he obviously wins. I'd like to add to this list Chronos (from God of War I guess, but really more the Greek myth one), who is actually the personification of Time

If the story's awful, but the game is still fun, I will keep playing that game. If the story's amazing, but the gameplay is awful, I will watch the cutscenes online or watch someone else play it. So I guess I think gameplay's more important.

I fully agree with point 1, I hadn't really thought about point 2 being cutscenes like Days and Coded, but I really like that idea. Of course, I'd rather play BBS v2, but I'll be fine with cutscenes. As for point 3, I think it's likely to happen, since it would follow the trend of FF15 and Metal Gear Ground Zeroes. Plus it would give me another reason to be happy about getting a PS4

I call it Kai (Kye), mostly because Xehanort himself told me that some people say it that way, and I choose to believe he was solely talking to me.

I own/have owned a PS2, PS3 and recently PS4. As a kid I've played on a family member's PS1, and I've occasionally used my brother's (now broken) PSP, and my other brother's Vita. Dear god, I might be a fan.

I know that, but just the fact that they brought out 2.5, and now 2.9 before 3 seems funny. And I'm sure some marketing person is considering an even closer number to do next.

It would be really funny if Square just started making games incrementally closer to KH3, like KH2.91 and KH2.92. Just to be more like Valve.
