  1. You've got to believe something new will come out of this, Yasue is too important to send to discuss merely what we know. We could have a discussion about what will happen in the worlds, but even that seems like 'small information.' The original worlds wouldn't really be a spoiler as such, what I am hoping for is conformation on Cable Town and what exactly this is?
  2. We have two events coming up, one with the Japanese VAs of Aqua and Sora and someone from the Dev team, I think they are doing a Q&A amongst other things which will be interesting and I think it's Tai Yasue is having a discussion about the worlds of KHIII. What is unclear is whether it's about what we know or anything new added. For me personally, this is as good as any to announce 100 Acre Wood as we really don't need a trailer for that.
  3. My idea for BH6 is to have something that mirrors the Battle of Hollow Bastion in KH2, where we briefly team up with a character for a short section before moving on. Then you could go through all the members and utilise their abilities. I'm not complaining as Baymax seems to be the most useful member anyway, combat trained, can aid with flight and can work as a support character.
  4. Strugglenort confirmed for the next trailer. Once you enter Data Twilight Town, you aren't leaving
  5. This was what I was referring to: http://kh13.com/news/interview-with-tetsuya-nomura-about-his-cats-kingdom-hearts-iii-to-feature-an-element-based-on-“deshi”-the-cat Then again you could be right and it could just be included because he likes cats haha.
  6. Seeing as how everyone is returning in KH3, if the fat man who explained the struggle rules from KH2 doesn't return- riot time
  7. I think that's his own cat Deshi, it was mentioned ages ago about how he loves cats and planned to incorporate one of his cats as a motif in the game.
  8. My 'theory' on this is that the SoDs will fluctuate between the game, with the concrete Six shown in DDD being secure. Either Sora will defeat a few earlier than anticipated or some will return to the Lights and vice versa, some will go to the SoDs. All we know is that there needs to be 13 SoDs and 7 lights, also in relation to Larxene's comments- they might well have the XIII by Arendelle, but they might lose one along the way or so. Basically to keep this simple, I don't think things will be rigid and will instead fluctuate and be fluid throughout.
  9. What I like about this is the reference to the times of day and importance to the people shown. We have a combination of Dawn/Day, Dusk/Twilight and the night stars. Day- Destiny islands Trio- these are the lights that will guide the others, through Sora we have connections to Roxas, Xion and Ven, Riku has waked the path to Dawn and the Darkness has no power over him anymore, plus his connections to Aqua and Terra and Kairi is a pure light. Dusk/Twilight- Ice Cream Trio- these are the lights that dwell not entirely between the light nor darkness. We know as of DDD Lea still possessed the ability to use Dark Corridors and both Xion and Roxas remain in Sora's heart. This also can be connected to their association with TT. Star sky- BBS Trio, not only does the starry sky symbolise their last night together, but also their dreams and desires to be reunited and masters. Crucially, the stars and darkness highlights their current states, Terra is still under Xehanort's influence, Ven is asleep and Aqua needs no explaining. Al these characters are either under the grip of darkness and need saving. Now I bring us to the positioning of the characters. Mickey is at the top I believe due to him being a Monarch and thus if we follow the Divine Right theory, the King is the highest mortal being and thus Mickey cannot be seen to be lower in ranking. We then have the cycle of day in Order, first we have Daytime (DI Trio) followed by Dusk (IC Trio) followed by Night (BBS) trio and eventually the night will return to Day, signalling the return of the BBS trio. I believe Namine is alone for two reasons, firstly she does not belong in anyone's trio, excluding the case trio of Repliku, CoM Sora and her. However she does have connections to all three groups. Her connections to the DI trio is obvious, as is her connection to the IC trio. However, we do know she made contact with Terra and potentially the others, we know she became aware of their pain.
  10. I've always taken the assumption that things can be worked out from what's presented to us in terms of news and visually. There seems to a pattern where something is mentioned (sometimes briefly), then we will see something in a trailer and then be like ahh so that's how X works. It's actually quite fun and makes the trailers more significant rather than plot/ world reveals. In relation to how much do we need to hear/see, I feel like there's both an assumption and a mark of respect, we know how abilities work etc and from a business perspective, I cannot blame them for focusing on displaying the advanced mechanics, not only are they aesthetically flashy, but it helps to promote why this is a new entry. End of the day, I don't think anyone will ever be truly happy with what we get, some will crave more, some will crave the technical points and others will think way too much is being displayed. My take is whilst there are certain things I'd like to see, I accept I'm in a minority for the technical points, end of the day SE have to constantly promote the game and ensure interest is displayed. I would like to think as fans of the series, we don't need convincing as such, we know that on Jan 29th we're playing this (or as close as we can.) SE don't need to sell this game to us, however for people who aren't as hardcore or even newcomers ( more the merrier) they do need to think how best sell this. Hence why certain things are given greater importance or repeated. People are more likely to get hyped over World X than Explosion was shown for a second! (in all fairness in the original KH2, that ability was top notch.)
  11. In a semi serious manner, a chessboard world would be an interesting concept and would be a twist on what we thought KH was visually
  12. What if the ending of KH3 is one massive chess match?
  13. I agree with you in relation to the music, I know it's a new song and all, but it would make a change to hear field/battle material or even a revamped old song. I just find it slightly out of place, especially in relation to the gameplay sections.
  14. Morning all, I hope everyone enjoyed the mini trailer the other day, it had a lot of details in such a short period of time. However, after some contemplation I think I have gained an understanding of the board a little better. I will divide this down into sections for connivence. Let's start with Sora alone. For me this is symbolic for two reasons. Firstly, it indicates the SoDs that we know Sora will encounter in the Disney Worlds ( I know Saix hasn't been revealed in a specific world thus far, but we have seen the other 'henchmen' and I do not believe Saix has a higher rank than this). Secondly, this could act as a resolution to Sora being the playable character during the Keyblade War. For awhile now, we have speculated how the final battle will play out- will we play as all the GoLs or only Sora- if we are to trust the board then we could see a case where Sora is the last light standing and thus has to prevail alone. Basically imagine KHII's rush, but in the Keyblade Graveyard. The captured whites- pay attention to the positioning of the whites, 2 lying flat and 3 standing up. I believe this signifies the defeated lights, however in slightly more detail. I believe that the lights lying flat will symbolise lights we will lose ( Riku/Lea etc take your pick) and the ones standing up are 'worn out' members. What is interesting is we only have 6 visible lights- if we trust the trailers, I believe that the missing light symbolises Roxas. One of the more repeating aspects of the trailers from 2017 emphasises bringing back Roxas. I believe he is the missing light piece, which is important for two reasons. Firstly, does Sora fail to bring him back? Or secondly, will we see Roxas come to the frontline? If we take Vanitas' lines about wearing Sora down battle by battle, could we see Roxas awaken to help Sora? Imagine a wavering Sora, alone and in need and from the depths of his heart, Roxas comes to help- it wouldn't be a full revival, but it would explain how he would be crucial to the story for a short period of time. Darkness Hierarchy- We can see 10 SoDs and we seem to have a level of hierarchy. I believe this is significant as it seems to indicate the importance of the SoDs, with the likes of Marluxia, Luxord and YX having a 'henchmen' role and thus being lower ranked. Also, the SoD in the far corner seems to be Xigbar- I believe this is important because throughout the series Xigbar/Braig has acted as Xehanort's right hand man- a role I think we will see again in KHIII, thus making him a different rank from the 'henchmen'. Finally, we have 3 higher pieces. The obvious one is MX being the highest rank SoD, this does not need expanding. Likewise, the two pieces next to him are likely Ansem SoD and Xemnas. Not only are they 'pure Xehanorts', but as previous final game bosses, it explains why they have a higher rank. 10 pieces of Darkness- I believe this aspect is important because it could symbolise that Xehanort will lose 3 members. I believe these members are our fallen friends, we know he has Aqua and as of 0.2 he still had Terra and if the hooded figure is Xion, that's our three friends ( it's possible Ven could fill this role still.) If this is correct, and we believe Nomura that Aqua is not fully lost, then perhaps we can save our other two friends too? Hence why on the Board we only see 10 facing Sora. This could symbolise that we will save our friends from Xehanort. Overall, this was my favourite aspect of the mini trailer and I'm hoping the expanded trailer shows us more of the Chessboard to either debunk my theory or reinforce it.
  15. Who actually is the figure between Sora? It's too unclear for me, I can see how people can see both Xehanort (arms crossed with the white gloves), but I can see how people can think they see a keyblade too. Is there anything that isn't blurry? Or is it a wait till we see more thing?
  16. let's focus on the whole of that scene, a lot was shown off at incredible speed. I do think we are dealing with a female character, whether that's Xion or not is something else? What makes me think it is her is this is a teaser trailer and we did see Aqua at the end and I'm not seeing the similarities. We know Nomura plans on showing all of the SoDs to us pre release and there is a pattern of world and an SoD announcement too. Ergo, it all depends on the upcoming week, if it's Aqua, why the design change? If it's Xion, then things have gotten interesting.
  17. I'm expecting a SF 'reveal', however I'd love to see an original world trailer where we see 3/4 original worlds displayed. A reveal would make sense as I do believe we 2/3 left to go (Disney wise), but we will wait and see- it's exciting nonetheless
  18. Am I the only person struggling to care about UX anymore? For every slight bit of ' blimey something's actually happening' it then becomes endless repetition. Not denying the Wreck it Ralph world will be interesting, but it's hard to keep enthusiastic about this anymore. That saying, I am hoping this update has been worth the wait, my wager is that the new character was the robed figure holding the plant from the poster.
  19. Inevitably soon, I'm especially looking forward to how big the Party is, how much of the city we can explore- especially since we have seen that there are loading screens and if they are generous any plot aspect.
  20. For me it seems more it's a combination of 'lazy theory making' and an overall 'chi issue.' The 'lazy theory making' aspect is that some people have jumped on the bandwagon that because there's a few similarities between them, they are the same person and then there's the mistaken view about Braig lost his eye. My relation to the 'chi issue' is that there isn't a real sense of order here, if we kept the chi saga isolated then I don't think people would the same amount of credit to half the theories connected to Chi and our timeline. However, the introduction of Ventus and now lauriam does allow the annoying possibility of a 'Xigbar is the MoM'. I do believe however that the appearances of the Foretellers, Luxu and MoM was kept hidden on purpose, not only to focus on the personality aspect of them more, but also to create speculation, when we don't understand something, we naturally try and use reason to explain it. Hence Ava and Kairi connection, Invi and Aqua, I genuinely believe that the MoM and Braig is no different.
  21. Good grief that sounds absolutely horrific. I'll grant them the theory that Xehanort might be influenced by another Will, that's plausible and it has been alluded to throughout the series. However, the whole MoM and Braig connection I don't buy. Yes, they have some mannerisms that are the same and from a VA perspective, not entirely off- however why does every character have to be someone we know? That said, what we thought was logical and what Nomura thinks is logical is beyond us (cough marluxia and ven). I just hope this isn't the case as it simply sounds awful.
  22. Look at the evidence we have so far though, it alludes to more than that. Granted, whether or not you count what I call the 'Gimmick' fights true bosses is up to you. However, we've seen three for Olympus so far already.
  23. Hello all, In relation to the news surrounding the fact that end stage bosses will not be revealed until the game comes out, that begs the question of how many bosses can we expect per world? Let's start with Olympus: Not only do we have the troll heartless in Thebes, but likely all the Titans displayed so far, but it's likely we will face Hades again and potentially Xigbar. Toy Box: Blue Haired Doll, Spaceship heartless and potentially Young Xehanort . The Caribbean- Ruler of the Sky version 2, Multiple Pirate battles, potentially Luxord and Davy Jones. My rationale/theory is this: A Heartless boss, a 'gimmick' fight- the Gigas and Pirate ships etc, Small Disney fight, Main Disney fight and a SOD. Plus I think in some cases we will have Unversed/Nobody fights and no doubt Pete and/or Maleficent at some stage. So my initial answer is 4, with fluctuations between different worlds.
  24. Hard to predict really, I don't think many expected three E3 trailers (4 if we include the Orchestra trailer, which has since been leaked), so it's not unlikely to have multiple trailers in a short time frame. Also with how frequent the marketing for the game has been recently, it makes sense to use the opportunity. I can't talk for SE, but I'd personally use this for BH6, get that out of the way and then end with the silhouette with 'more news TGS Sept ..." etc.' We're happy as we get some BH6 and it raises the hype for the next week until TGS for the new world. Either way, we have limited time left now until the release date and we probably still have 2/3 Disney worlds to show and any original worlds they might choose to display.
