I was recently replaying Dream Drop Distance and I kind of came up with this mini theory/random idea. In 3D Maleficent felt the change in the favour of darkness which was Xehanort returning and thus invaded Disney Castle, taking Minnie hostage in exchange for the datascape. This makes me wonder will this have a smilier impact on disney villains in their individual worlds. For example, could Xehanort's return be a factor for Hades potentially releasing the Titans to attack the other Gods because he too has felt the shift in darkness? If this is the case, then this could explain another reason why Sora is travelling the worlds again and could also mean each world would be a fierce challenge for Sora to protect the light? Personally, I think it would be interesting if this either A) made the villains and the worlds more plot relevant rather B) To make the villains more of a challenging fight. maybe I'm overthinking this

As has been mentioned we don't need the likes of Bowser, Sonic etc for this to work out at all. We have the Fix-It-Felix residents,Hero's Duty squadron ( if that) and Sugar Rush. To be fair Sugar Rush is such an expansive world, we probably could explore there without the need for other characters. Also this could be a prime opportunity to include older Final Fantasy characters which haven't been seen in KH yet and a quick cameo would be imo better than Sonic.

I honestly didn't think about that, that's a seriously good idea. If there is a Frozen world, then it would make total sense to have a Vexen nobody, same with the Princess and the Frog world

I was just thinking at the top of my head of what could potentially work with them, I think the Marluxia themed nobody in the Kingdom of Corona is a great fit especially with the flower heartless

I like this concept a lot actually and it makes sense too. Here's some ideas I have for potential new nobodies: 1) Vexen themed nobody- I'd have something along the lines of a fusion between the sorcerer and berseker nobodies. I would have a nobody wielding a Vexen themed shield shooting projections at you from distance and hitting you at close range. 2) Larxene themed nobody- I'd have something similar to the Samurai and Dancer nobodies, a ' thinner' nobody moving with agility string fast with knives in quick succession dealing a lot of damage 3) Zexion nobody- I'd have this nobody be an annoying opponent and create fake illusions of itself in battle to attack Sora 4) Lexaeus nobody- Again I would have this similar to the berserker along the lines of being a ' bulkier' nobody and would have this nobody being slightly slower than the others to attack, and when the nobody becomes lower on HP to increase the damage inflicted on Sora and in the process becoming harder to beat, possibly hitting a criteria for an attraction flow ride

It would have been a surprise of they didn't confirm, though what I meant is is them in physical form or another one where we see them in spirit etc? I was kind of thinking that, sorry it was poorly worded beforehand. It would make more sense, then again if they are in physical form then surely this would place the scene at the end of the game? So we could theoretically see Riku etc new outfit.

This could mean something or merely be a placeholder again, then again that aside we have no confirmation what this actually is, I'm leaning towards Attraction Flow, but that's a guess

It was a surprise that no new world was confirmed, but part of me is thinking they Intended to announce Big Hero 6 originally at this, but decided to announce it in Anaheim which would explain that D23 not being too big, that said we know: OC, TT, KOC, Big Hero 6 and one would presume LOD due to the chess scene, so we already know 5 worlds. Like has been mentioned, Toy Story has been alluded to, but not confirmed. Otherwise we could connect random worlds to attraction flow when we have no real evidence.

Not having a go at the graphics, but something seems out of place with Kairi, that saying the door and table look pretty decent, interesting how Sora is absent so presumably at this stage still in the Realm of Sleep thanking the Dream Eaters. Unless of course he is on the other side admiring that door

The screenshot did look interesting for 0.2 I have to admit, does anyone know if there's gameplay footage with this as well? Also it's interesting the Foretellers are all voiced, hopefully we hear them actually speak and the trailer should be good

If it helps mate we haven't seen anything as off yet, the trailer/trailers I presume there's one for 2.8 and 3 will come out 6am our time if you can catch them before you head off. Apparently it is ' emotional'

Old Man Xehanort himself, I'm curious to see firstly what he looks like in the Kingdom Shader and secondly if he has dialogue if we can tey and work out who the new VA is

Realistically- a trailer World conformation Maybe a few new transfomations/attraction flow rides Possible release bracket- doubt a date Info on 2.8 Seeing as there is apparently live performances- maybe the KH3 song/Dearly Beloved I doubt a Chi will be mentioned seeing as this is a Japanese event and the game is out in Japan

Most importantly we need to wrap this series up, hopefully have no lingering questions. Ending/ secret ending I kind of have in mind which would satisfy me would be afte the Keyblde War, to have the lights and other allies reunite for a farewell. We could then have TAV return to the Land of Departure with the aim to train future keyblade wielders, MDG return to Disney Castle with an emotional farewell between SDG and RM, RLX and possibly Namine return to Twilight Town and finally SRK return to Destiny Islands. We could then have a final cutscene showing the trios in their iconic areas ( TAV looking at the stars, RLX eating ice cream on the train tower and SRK on the Tree branch looking at the ocean. After the credits, have a stranger appear and look towards probably Sora Ansem say something cryptic like ' this was nothing compared to what is coming'/ ' you have passed the initial test'/ ' enjoy your peace, because it will end soon' and then to end. Or alternatively have a secret ending in an unknown location with unidenified characters and again have something cryptic like ' I seriously thought Xehanort would win, this changes our plans'/ ' at last we can reveal ourselves ( Darth Maul pun not intended) then to end with either sinister laughing or a quick, but not revealing glimpse of who spoke. Then cue the wait for KH4 to find out who tin the case of scenario A) the person is or B) who this group is, their intentions and what is sora going to be faced with next.

I personally would be surprised if this didn't appear. Only this time seeing as Sora as at the pinnacle of his powers, I would like Sephiroth to be fought in his God form, making the fight a lot more harder and challenging, I want him to make KH and KH2 Sephiroth look easy. If for story purposes Cloud aids you so be it.

I'm all up for Star Wars- way I kind of imagine it is similar to Monstro in KH. ( You can either have the Millenuium Falcon being chased by Heartless ships and have Sora and the gang help outand reach the Death Star or simply on route to a world be interrupted by the death star.)Once landed Sora would be surrounded by Stormtroopers and taken to Vader where he would be accused of being a rebel either trying to free Leia or return the plans to her. During their Imprisonment Luke and Han arrive to save Leia and Luke being the good natured Farmboy frees Sora despite Han saying we need to escape. Rest of the level could be trying to get back to Falcon with Luke being the party member. We could then see the duel between Obi wan and Vader with Obi Wan sacrificing himself and both the Falcon and the Gummi Ship escaping. Then after a cutscene, Luke prepares to leave with Red Squadron and Sora being Sora can't allow a friend to go off to their death. Cue the battle of Yavin with Sora aiding out similar to how Biggs and Wedge did in the original film. The Death Star is destroyed and we have the medal ceromony. The world ends with Luke asking Sora to join the Rebellion to which Sora replies their are more threats than the empire out their and departs as a friend making a classic Sora promise.

Seeing as this event is going to be huge and this is the event Square have personally bigged up all year, we should expect an exodus of news. 1) Kh3 trailer looks likely 2) possible/ probable world release- Who knows what really? I wouldn't be surprised by either Frozen or Star Wars, if not a new world then perhaps Agrabah or something, I wouldn't object to Radiant Garden, but that's more hopeful than anything else 3) more news on the features- maybe a few new transformations/attraction flow ideas 4) a release bracket ( gut feeling Q4 2017) 5) news on 2.8 on the whole ( inc. DDD; back cover and BBS 0.2)- maybe concept art? 6) seeing as there is going to be performances- maybe the new KH3 song? If not I'd take the Kingdom of Corona themes 7) followed by expect news in 2016

I've been saying this for ages, if they are going to include Star Wars and I personally am not against the idea ( my own opinion) then now seems the best time to announce it. Episode 7 is less than 2 months away and they have already released tickets for the film in advance ( yes I did purchase mine for the opening showing haha) which has been a sell out. Star Wars hype has been building up for ages and can also attract a wider market for KH3 and a new audience as people would specifically buy the game for the Star Wars content. I mean we could be wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a Death Star world etc, and if not Star Wars then I'd wager on Frozen.

Is it really worth taking these supposed ' fans' seriously? Obviously we all want KH3 to come out, however as has been mentioned do we really want a rushed game? Also it's not like Square have broken their promise of a yearly KH game. Sure KHX or KHUX to some might not seem that fantastic, but I disagree- the story is obviously important to the overall series and shouldn't be overlooked. Secondly, 2.8 is a huge bonus, I know FFXV doesn't have an effect on KH3, but did people seriously expect them both to come out in the same year? If anything, 2.8 is a good thing, we get a brand new entry to the series, another film which is also new and DDD again. Heck it is depressing that I will probably be early 20's when KH3 does come out and I was 10 when KH2 came out, but oh well at the end of the day, we're at the end of 2015 now, so what's another year's wait?

I personally would have no issue with either film appearing in the game. Jungle Book has been flirted around with since KH1 and in BBS you can access some pretty detailed world maps. Toy Story has also been flirted around with and if the LinkedIn account is to be believed, I mean 2.8 was a thing so there is some credibility, then Pixar will finally be added and if that's the case, it would be a huge own goal not to incorporate Toy Story.

I can actually see the 100 Acre Wood retuning, it seems to be the stable mini-game world in the series and despite some people not liking the world, you do gain a lot of items, synthesis items and powerful Magic. Besides, if people have that much of an issue with it, then it can be skipped.

In case I wasn't clear for people here is an example. Say Frozen is a world in KH3, the traditional formula would be to head off to Find Elza either with Anna or trying to locate Anna afterwards and reach the Ice Castle etc resulting in a probable clash with Hans at the end on the Frozen Lake.However if we use the post film formula- we could see Arendelle restored at first with Elza ruling peacefully, then you can include the heartless invading the world and Elza trying to save the world causes an accidental Blizzard storm again. Sora can agree to stop the heartless etc etc and you can then have Xehanort/Sod try and use the situation in order to bring a previously disgraced Hans to regain the crown etc etc Another example using this formula could be Treasure Planet- say Sora runs into Jim who is now at the academy and is set for duty when they run into John Silver who reveals that someone in a black coat has been recruiting for a mission that is set to leave for an unknown destination with promises of great wealth. John Silver could leave at this stage and be along the lines of ' be careful Jim' Sora would want to stop this so would enlist with Jim at the academy. They could set off resulting in a reunion with John Silver who either could have fallen in with the Pirates or was looking to steal what the Pirates were looking for. This could result in a new ' Planet' with the original Treasure Planet having been destroyed with a final battle against the hooded figure for this world It all depends on each individual world really, and I agree with you original plots would need to be done right and in the case of classic older films say we have a Jungle Book world, it wouldn't feel right not to play through that film's events.
