  1. With the announcment of multiple trailers next month there's an extremely high chance of one appearing at this event.
  2. I know that after KH1 the series has gotten a little hand holdy. Though to be fair KH1 was overally difficult in parts for a supposed child friendly game. But I do agree that the shiny walls are a bit much. Hopefully there is a setting that allows you to at least turn it down a little.
  3. I wanna see Hayner fall on his butt. :p. Or Ansem just stopping him in midair using DARKNESS. I'm down with 100 acre woods. It was expected and yes I have a soft spot for it. It was a good way to reveal it too. Keyblade Graveyard has been maybe/most likely confirmed. But that was also expected. And Kairi's there! She's part of the group! Kinda wish they would use a different song in the trailers. Like I get the want of having "Don't Think Twice" and I love the song but I wanna hear some different tracks. I wonder who Xehanort's new voice actor is? Also more trailers coming up! Including one more this month apparently....
  4. Also Hunchback dealt with it (as well as a host of other things). Not to mention some of the stuff Kingdom Hearts already deals with. I don't think Disney would be against it.
  5. I'm kinda conflicted about the whole thing. On one hand snippet trailers, like you call them, are nice and fun, but they are hard to keep you excited or interested for long. You watch it, think "Oh, this was nice," and go on to the next thing. While the explosion trailers are exciting and can keep you hyped for weeks afterward. You analyse it to death. I keeps you pumped. Now, I agree there can be too many explosion trailers and we definitely don't need one at every event. But at the same time, waiting like two months for a new trailer and all you get is some small snippets from an already revealed world can be a little disappointing. And they don't have many events left to reveal all the worlds. But maybe they plan to reveal all of them at Jump Festa? Who knows?
  6. Seeing how there have been no FF worlds and Nomura saying FF characters are not as much needed as they were before, as well as their being a limited number of worlds, I saw this coming. Now, I have not played the game myself (yet anyway) so I'm not that upset but I understand if others are. It can be hard getting your hopes up for something and it not happening.
  7. I would not say it's impossible per say cause this is Kingdom Hearts We are talking about. But it does look like he will be somewhat important whether he ends up being "redeemed" or not. I will say it would be nice to have more characters that are more middle ground then merely good or evil. Even Riku I consider to be more on the "good" side who just uses darkness sometimes to accomplish goals. There's so far not really a character that's more neutral. The closest that I can think of is maybe Ansem the Wise (and that's a big maybe). So even if Vanitas does end up staying a full on villain I would love a grey/neutral character anyway.
  8. I can't say this trailer excited me or that I'm not a little disappointed. I'm not like super upset or anything just from the last few trailers I expected a little bit more. Even if they did not want to show more story they could of had a new world reveal. We knew about Tangled for a while and have been seeing some gameplay for it also. But at the same time I am glad they are doing smaller trailers. Not every trailer needs to be exciting and have a big reveal or anything. It can show us a few fun cut scenes and it can be satisfying. So they trailer is by itself fine I just don't want to wait till Jump Fiesta for a new world reveal if they wanna keep the story under wraps.
  9. I really hope they don't kill Riku off. I also think the whole redemption= sacrifice is overused. And with Riku who already redeemed himself multiple times I don't see the need for more redemption. Like give the kid a break, he did some bad things when he was fourteen out of wanting to protect someone and being manipulated by multiple adults, and like his whole arc revolves around redemption and learning to be comfortable about himself. This arc is now over. But that does not mean he can't have another one. If they were to have a redemption death it would make more sense to be Terra.
  10. Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden is my favorite original world so far. So I would love it to return, but I would not be surprised if it doesn't since I really do think they cut some of the worlds that they originally planned to be in the game, including original ones. And since Twilight Town is looking to be the "hub world' or whatever you call it for this game, they might see it as not being needed unless for cut scenes. I also don't see Traverse Town making it in unless there's a huge story reason to go. It was not in KH2 either. To confirm a world being playable I gotta see game play of it, or someone who works on the game confirm it.
  11. I get what your saying. It's a common tactic. I would laugh my butt off if Aqua's not even norted or whatever considering all the fights that happened over it (it get a little nasty at times too, like, none of you have actually played the game yet so nobody knows?) Nomura's has been misleading multiple times himself so even if it seems like we know everything, we probably actually know nothing (basically Kingdom Hearts in general). To be fair, even when we play the game we will probably not know what's going on, so no, I don't personally think they are showing too much.
  12. Nomura said in an interview there are still some Disney worlds left, probably only about two or three more. I don't know what they are doing with the original worlds though.
  13. Bellatrix is pretty cool. Though Voldemort's probably the best written.
  14. That's true. On one hand I would like it to return (as playable), on the other there's not really a lot of possibilities for exploration. In KH2 we spent most of our time in Timeless River than in Disney Castle. And with the Classic Kingdom mini games I doubt they would do a Timeless River scenario again (which is kinda a shame really since I really loved it in KH2 and I feel it was limited there). So I feel they would have to have some sort of gag with it that's sort of like Timeless River. But if they really tried they could do something cool with it since it's kind of a mix between an original world and a Disney world. Not to mention it could very easily fit into the story. But if it does appear it's possible it's just for some cut scenes anyway.
  15. If the leaks are correct, and none of them are for cut scenes only (and now that's it easier to have a spoiler tag): I personally think there are gonna be three more. Two of them full sized worlds and one mostly for mini games. Nomura did say there were a few left, not much left but a few. So unless that was an error I think that means at least two. Not to mention Nomura said less than KH2 but did not mention KH1. I know I'm hoping the last few ones are focused on the traditionally animated films. For some variety. I'm also hoping Nomura gives some sort of hint on how many original worlds there are gonna be as well. I think he did mention that some will be cut scenes only.
  16. This was the rating I was expecting. I don't really know how much of a difference E 10+ is to T, except maybe more sexual stuff and a bit more bloody? More alcohol? Swearing? *shrugs*. Anyway, Kingdom Hearts should appeal to as wide of an audience as possible, so it has more mass appeal. It's got a bunch of Disney characters after all, it would be really out of place for a character like Mickey Mouse to be in a rated T game. Impossible even. Disney has a lot of brands aimed for kids in the game. They're gonna wanna play it. Kingdom Hearts 3 does not need to be rated T to be more mature. Kingdom Hearts can be for everyone and still be mature. I never liked the idea that "kid's media" are childish and lesser than "adult media". Heck, there's nothing wrong with being childish and just fun. Now it might be arguable it Kingdom Hearts is a "kid's game", but the truth of it is it appeals to a lot of children, and they should be able to play. And the developers (and older fans of the series) need to keep that in mind.
  17. This is kinda hard for me cause I like games for different reasons and even some of the games I love I have major issues with it. Kingdom Hearts is a great experimental games series that has a lot of flaws in more ways then one. I think my conditions for each game in the series (in the order of what I personally see as the most important in my opinion): 1. Character 2. Gameplay 3. Overall Story 4. Subplots 5. World design/ overall graphics Now, this is gonna be all over the place but bare with me: For the lowest tiers for me, Union Cross fails at almost all of these (except maybe some of the designs) but again I have not been playing the game for a while and I don't plan to try again. I actually hoped it would be filler. I know I have the unpopular opinion that some games in KH could be filler if it's GOOD FUN filler. Which brings me to Re:Coded. I have never finished this game but from what I had played the game was pretty fun gameplay wise. But in the story department and conditionally character department, it's lacking. I would not have personally mind a little side story with no overall relevance to the main plot but Re:Coded is just kinda boring plot wise. My highest tier games are KH1 and KH2. After reading the arguments about whether KH1 or KH2 had a better plot, it got me thinking and I think I got kind of a complicated answer for that. Well I don't know if complicated the right word for it but I have a weird opinion on it. I personally think KH1 had the better overall story. Much less confusing and much simpler, which I prefer. But I think KH2 had better subplots, if that makes any sense. I don't really know how to explain it. If we are talking about Disney worlds, I really liked what they did with Beast's Castle, Disney Castle, and Space Paranoids and heck even Hundred Acre Wood, then most of the individual stories in the Disney worlds in KH1. And Hollow Bastion even had it's own great subplots. But KH1 had more of a reason to go to each world within the overall plot and probably overall handled the Disney Worlds the best out of any game after it. The characters are mostly equal with both games for me, but I like Sora more in KH2. Gameplay is much better in KH2 and though KH1 had better exploration in the game, it could be really confusing at times and I mostly prefer they straight forwardness of KH2. So with these all in mind I consider KH2 my favorite so far. Every other Kingdom Hearts game I consider middle tier more or less. 358/2 days has a great story and characters but has the most repetitive gameplay (after Union Cross) and it's feels like a chore to go through. Some of the worst gameplay in the series (those boss battles ugh) and worlds are repeats with nothing really new to them. Birth By Sleep I have....a complicated relationship with. I think it had great ideas but poor execution. It's great having new characters to meet and we finally get new worlds to explore. But, though I do like the characters, none of them grabbed me like the original trio or whatever you call the Roxas, Axel, and Xion trio. I think they tried too hard to replicate the original trio and the friendship felt forced. But it was nice to have variety of different characters to play that was not Sora. And seeing the story from different points of view was great. I feel the gameplay was decent and fun to experiment with. But the world designs were barren and have to be some of the worst in the series. Now Dream Drop Distance I actually enjoy more than BBS surprisingly enough. Like I know people had problems with Sora in this game and I do generally agree with them but I missed actually having a happy protagonist around. He seems to actually have fun meeting new people and seeing new places, but yeah they did really dumb him down in a lot of places though. You can tell Riku grew a lot in his sections of the game and he is a big highlight. Now the story....it's contrived and confusing I'll admit. But I do have a soft spot for the wackyness of it. But dang they could have come up with a better plot twist. Or at least be more self aware. I find gameplay decent but the drop system irritating. Also new worlds which are always a plus for me. But the worlds are hit and miss for me. Chain of Memories, I don't really know cause I never finished it :p. But I think the best thing about it is the mystery. So, I guess that means it has an interesting story.
  18. I hope they both get one. Even though we have yet to hear a note from Face My Fears.
  19. I have watched plenty of scary movies but have not played too many scary games. Gives me too much anxiety.
  20. OK, I love this series to death, but dang the overall story is contrived and more confusing then it needs to be. I will admit sometimes I enjoy it cause it's entertaining but it's not "good" in the classic meaning of the word. But I'm overall really angry about Union Cross.
  21. It does kinda suck they have made Maleficent such a joke villain. She's still cooler then half the original villains honestly. This just makes me feel bad for her when I should either be intimidated or finding her awesome and cool. I'm hoping KH3 does something interesting with her that't not her being just a puppet again but I doubt it.
