Opinion on Kairi in KH3
Tyranto Rex replied to The 13th moogle's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
She has character, just Nomura does not want to expand on it cause he want's to focus on the "bromance". Which in itself is fine but it's annoying when one of the literal MAIN CHARACTERS gets shoved to the side for it constantly. It's not the characters fault, it's Nomuras. She has a personality, it's just not expanded on. -
Rapunzel’s voice actress?
Tyranto Rex replied to TheThirteenth's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
She honestly did a pretty good job of it cause I was convinced. Or maybe Mandy Moore's voice is just easy to duplicate IDK. -
I'm only about halfway through the game (but I do know some of the spoilers) so I don't know what my last thoughts are gonna be, but I think saying it's the worst KH game ever is quite a bit harsh. Like I know it's all opinion but dang. I have a lot of issues with it, as well as a lot of things I love about it, but I do have to say that overall it's better than the handheld games, like all of them. Even though I don't think it will replace KH2 for me (but that might be due to nostalgia I don't know). Like if you don't end up liking it, that's fine cause everyone has their opinions and I definately have grips with KH3 myself, but it's important to take a breather first and analyze.

My favorite characters always seem to change, but the one that has constantly been my favorite is Sora. He's just a breath of fresh air. And he blends in well with both the Disney and the Final Fantasy/original environments. He does not seem out of place. He might not be the most complex character of the lot but I think he's more complex than people give him credit for. You don't need to be a "angsty" character to be good (which there is nothing wrong with angsty characters and I enjoy quite a few of them myself but I think there is sometimes an overreliance of them and it does not make a character automatically good). Overall I don't really hate any character in KH. At least any I can think of.

Missed a day. Every line in Olympus Colosseum in KH2! "Get on the hydra's back" "Feel the heat" *Neighs, urging you to Colosseum* But in all seriousness though, it's kinda hard to pick. So I guess I'll go with Axel's "Got it memorized?" It's memorable and it should be the catchphrase of the series. I love most of the cinematic openings but I guess me two favorites (so far) are Kingdom Hearts 2 and Dream Drop Distance. I have a lot of nostalgia for the Kingdom Hearts 2 opening and Dream Drop Distance is just perfect.

Replace two worlds, add one
Tyranto Rex replied to Jingilator's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
Replace PotC with Treasure Planet Replace Frozen with TPatF Add either Lilo and Stitch or The Jungle Book -
The best gameplay is hands down KH2. Followed by Birth By Sleep and Dream Drop Distance. Even though I still have some issues with the story of KH2 it's still my favorite game of the series so far due to gameplay and the story is still pretty good. I think KH3 will have a hard time beating KH2 to be honest. But who knows? BBS and DDD, even though they both have their flaws, introduce great game mechanics that have made their ways into KH3 so thats pretty impressive.

I feel Kingdom Hearts 1, Com, and 358/2 days have the best storytelling. And the funny thing is some of these have the worst gameplay. Kingdom Hearts 1 benefits having a simple story that recognizes what it is and uses it to its advantage. The simple story might be a downfall to some but for me it helps a whole lot. It focuses more on the characters and their development and while it has one or two plot twists it does not go overboard with them and it leads to development. Sora was in fact not supposed to be the chosen one but due to the strength of his heart and his friends the keyblade choses him anyway. It's kinda cheesy but that's what the game is. And another important aspect is that the story flows better. We have a reason to go to Disney worlds and there are conflicts there that go along with the main story. It's the one that feels less ashamed of it's Disney aspects AND Final Fantasy aspects. Even though COM has some of the same problems future games of the series has, it's still pretty easy to understand. And it's still compelling and interesting and mysterious. Both Sora and Riku go through a lot of emotions. 358/2 is a very character based game. In fact, it's the main reason to look into it. It has a lot of problems (if you are looking for great gameplay or cool interactions with Disney/Final Fantasy characters, skip this one), but it is one of the most emotional.

Why is no one talking about this?
Tyranto Rex replied to Chasm's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
I heard a little bit of this. But I don't know much about the details. Still, this stuff is not OK and it happens all the time. -
Mmmm I'm not much of a shipper either way, but I respect everyone's ships (Sokai, whatever Riku and Sora are called, I would be OK of either or both if it makes the characters happy). If they are about the same age and respect each other I'm OK. I'm sorta neutral over the whole thing. I can under each sides point of view. But I honestly don't see a lot of ship fighting from the fandom? Other than people finding Riku and Sora's overall relationship stronger than Sora and Kairi. But that's mostly due to screen time. But naw gonna stay out of this one cause I'm Team Switzerland and ship wars are tiresome.

That's not exactly what she said though. I don't really like the term spinoffs, but the second half on the sentence is just a fact. I don't really follow any gaming review websites and for Polygon I just watch Monster Factory, but I did read this one cause I was curious cause it did not give a score. It seemed a perfectly sensible review. But I don't know where I stand with the game yet anyway cause everyone has individual tastes.

The GamesBeat person did play all the other games. They said it in the review. They said that even with playing all the other games the story can sometimes still be very confusing. Saying the story is garbage might be a strong word but it's not a new one. 80 ain't even that bad. And it's not even the only site to have that score.

I dunno I really don't think they would add that many original worlds for future DLC. The game is already really big and the games always have less original worlds than Disney, and this games has only 8 Disney worlds. It's not a new thing. However if they expand other worlds I would be completely fine with that. It's basically the same with every game, so I don't see why KH3 is any different. The promotions have been focusing more on the Disney aspects cause that is what attracts newcomers. I guess I'll find out for myself how the game works out for original content (like the ending) but I really don't think Disney should be blamed for any crazy writing that the series has been known for. While I love the series and it's crazy plots they have had really really bad writing before so I guess I'm more concerned about the characters then the overall plot cause I expected it to be weird. It might just be a case of with so many plots and characters to wrap up they just bit off more than they could chew. One of the reasons why I'm looking forward to a fresh start.
