Heartstone expansion, Ni No Kuni 2, God of War..I have the money but I feel like buying them all would be a waste. And haven't played KH 2.8 yet. Hard decisions :\
TheKingdomkid repliedIf you have played Dream Drop Distance before you can hold out for 2.8 a bit longer. Ni No Kuni 2 is a long game could be longer than the first game depending if you want to do everything in it and I heard God of War takes roughly 40 hours to finish everything so take this information as you would like lol

So the next Death Battle is going to be Sora vs Pit that should be an interesting one.

I'm absolutely loving Tokyo Xanadu ex+. The game is an action rpg just like kh, so I highly recommend it to you guys. Also, I can't stop listening to the title screen music
Cyber Shaman repliedI find it weird that people are comparing it to Persona 5. It reminds me more of Phantasy Star Universe.

Lol! The video is made by one of my favourite meme YouTubers. Oh really? Right now I've been playing Grand Kingdom and Psycho Pass: Mandatory Happiness.
Merilly repliedHow is Grand Kingdom? I've heard about it but haven't played it myself yet.
I love the sound
It's really upbeat qnd has a nice rhythm. The mixture of instruments is also quite nice. I especially appreciate violins in OSTs but the composition of different instruments fits really well without being too overwhelming. That's probably why it's rather light.Cyber Shaman repliedIt's badass! The game is a hidden gem. I wanna say it's a masterpiece because it doesn't have any real flaws, but I find it so odd how barley anyone knows about about its existence.
Cyber Shaman repliedIt's made by Nippon ichi, the same studio behind Disgaea. The gameplay follows the same formula as Disgaea.
Merilly repliedThank you
I've played quite a few entries of the Disgaea series but I can also guess why it may not as popular as it deserves. Disgaea is one of those game series that also profit a lot from being around for such a long time and in a variety of ways. But that type of gameplay isn't suited for everyone since it does require strategy and is not the most action based. I feel like these types of games will have a harder future due to all the possibilities.Merilly repliedAt least nowadays. I still like the older formulas but new gamers may find them unnecessarily clunky and not really immersive. Personally, I don't support that view but we've grown up with different games and technology that were extremely limited in their gameplay and graphics but are still a ton of fun. But nowadays, a lot is really graphics-based. =_=
Cyber Shaman repliedIt's so weird how no one wants to give these games a try, yet games like Fire Emblem, Persona, Valkarie Chronicles, and Hyperdemension Neptunia gets a free pass.
Cyber Shaman repliedDon't you see the pure irony in this? I'm sorry but Nippon Ichi really gets screwed over when it comes to their JRPG s.
Cyber Shaman repliedI highly recommend giving grand kingdom a try. It's on the Ps4 and PsVITA
Merilly repliedI think I will. To be honest, Fire Emblem was never a favorite of mine. There wasn't a single game which stood out among the rest or made me think woah, this is great. They aren't bad, of course, they just strike me as something I wouldn't remember among the titles which really got to me. I dunno, maybe it's tbe style? It's rather cute and nowadays everything needs to be dark and edgy to be considered profound.
Merilly repliedThat's really stupid. Something with a cuter style can also be incredibly profound. I mean look at KH. There's a lot of cute and fluffy stuff in there. Or also Disgaea. Some games just don't really get any recognition, as sad as it is. It also feels like it's totally random at times. Or maybe the cause is that so many cling to sequels which aren't really sequels but the marketing is easier if you add a well known name plus a 1,2,3 behind it. <_<
Cyber Shaman repliedOh you want to talk about games with cute art style? Play The Witch And The Hundred Knight. It may look innocent but it's the most depressing JRPG ever made. The ending made me and most of my friends cry.

Watched Coco yesterday. Amazing movie, even made me shed a tear :^)
Keyblade101 repliedI agree it is an amazing movie!

Now would this be one of those movies that are perfect ending where they left it or should they make a sequel? Honestly I'd love to see Miguel and Hector together again but I have no idea how or why it would happen.
KingdomHearts3 repliedI still haven’t seen it. I have to do some binge watching of movies when I get home from college.
Felixx replied@Keyblade101 Hmm good question
A sequel would definitely be possible, there are so many things they could show off in it, especially more areas of the land of the dead. But then again most sequels I have seen fail to be any good, so I'd rather not have one.@KH3 Watch it!! It's goooood!
Keyblade101 replied@Felixx I watched a video where Miguel's VA was singing a few songs from Coco in LA the day the movie was released on DVD and Bluray and his voice has dropped since he worked in the movie. So maybe if they were to make a sequel maybe they could have Miguel older in it to go along with his VA's now deeper voice?

Since keyblade transformation are going to add differentiating combos into kingdom hearts 3, there absolutely no doubt that I'm going to LOVE this game. I loved the combos that kingdom hearts 2 gave us with the drive forms and Sora's normal abilities. I'm glad SE are trying their hardest to expand on that concept

The Persona 5 anime's intro theme is currently stuck in my brain. Should I be concerned about that?

If you wanted to give a try, here's a certain scene that may pull you in
The Transcendent Key repliedHoly crud, what an intense battle! The dialogue between Nox and the old man (I'm not gonna type his name cuz it's too long, lol.) was very interesting, and this clip made me even more curious about this anime! It looks to have a great plot, and I really love the animation, especially for the battles!

Just got back from the C2E2 Chicago Comic Con. It was so awesome there. There was a lot of cool items, I met some KH fans, and I got to meet the character designer for King of the Hill. I can't wait to go back there next year.

The Dub for Season 3 of My Hero Academia was delayed! Wahhhh, this makes me sad! D':
NihonScribe repliedWatch the Sub! Lol, no but seriously, I think I may have to check out the dub at some point. The clips I've heard are impressive and Funimation is usually on point.
The Transcendent Key repliedLol, I cannot! Once I start Dub, I stick to Dub! If I had watched the anime in Sub, that'd be a different story. But I don't like switching languages midway. X3
Oh, and trust me, the Dub is amazing! There are so many characters that sound insanely badass! Overall, the Dub is really well done, and the voices sound really crisp and epic!
NihonScribe repliedAlready know I'm going to love All-Might. The guy who plays his voice is in everything! He fits him so well.
The Transcendent Key repliedYep, Christopher Sabbat is really one hell of an amazing voice actor! He's done so many voices, from Vegeta to Picolo, Armstrong, Garland, the king of Pars, All Might, Yami and many other characters as well!

Exactly a week from now, The unchained x event starts. Does Tetsuya Nomura have a surprise up his sleeve? I mean, it doesn't make sense for him to come to America just for unchained x if you ask me.
KeybladeMasterBalo repliedExactly what I thought! I mean he has the right to have fun one day with his fans, can't blame him, but he seems to be up to something and I doubt such anticipation is just for KHUX
Merilly repliedAgreed. I feel like it's a lot of effort during such a crucial time to travel this far for an event which won't reveal much. Of course he can have fun if he wants to, he just doesn't seem like the type of person to engage in conversations with fans for sheer pleasure. Especially since it's comparably small, so it reminds me more of the time the trailer was announced during the concert.

Did you guys know that RWBY is one of the most hated Tv franchises out there? There's so much animosity towards the franchise to the point where there's YouTube channels dedicated to criticizing every single episode and every moment while convincing others not to like it.
Cyber Shaman repliedWhat makes it worse is since Rwby is included in Blazblue Cross Tag Battle; alot of Blazblue fans weren't happy about this because they wanted Guilty Gear to be part of the crossover. Some of the biggest Blazblue YouTubers (such as DandyTheAntagonist) are slandering RWBY fans on both Facebook and Twitter.
Merilly repliedI think a lot of people like to generally hate on what's popular simply because it is "mainstream". I've abandoned RWBY for other reasons but I still think the series is remarkably made if one considers just how many people are working on it. But I guess you can't argue about taste, though I don't see the appeal in spending so much time with something you actually hate. It's okay to dislike it, but why let your life revolve around it then?
Cyber Shaman repliedExactly, I don't understand why there's so many YouTube channels (Vexed Viewer) dedicated to giving the series backlash when they could've just move on and watch a different series. When I don't generally like something I just stay away from it and move on. I don't understand the need to go the second mile and express their hatred towards something with a burning passion.
What worse is that since RWBY is in the upcoming fighting game, Blazblue Cross Tag Battle,...
Cyber Shaman repliedThere's been alot of animosity and prejudice towards RWBY fans by the Blazblue fanbase and the FGC. It's REALLY bad....
Merilly repliedI guess some fandoms just have certsin reservations toward other fandoms, especially if their fans tend to be extreme. I never heard that in RWBY's case but I've had experiences with other fandoms who were dominantly toxic. I don't see any reason to have reservations about RWBY in Blazblue though since it is just a crossover and likely not forever but limited to one game.
Merilly repliedI don't mind if people express their dislike for something and do it in a structured, not too heated by hate way, and try to explain sensibly why they subjectively/objectively dislike it. But that should be a one time only thing in the manner of "I watched the first few episodes and I don't like the style" is an understandable argument but continuing to dedicate your entire life to a series you hate just spells boredom to me.
Merilly repliedI have the same feeling with a lot of people in different fandoms. RWBY, KH, etc. There seem to be a lot of people who talk extensively about the serious, displaying an impressive amount of knowledge, but somehow don't give off the expression of actually enjoying it with how much they criticize, never finding anythign good. Being blind to mistakes is not appreciated either, butbsuch behavior makes one wonder why.
Cyber Shaman repliedI'm starting to notice that as well. There's been actually quite alot of individuals in the kh fandom that generally didn't like KH. And most of the time it's the individuals that display the most knowledge about the franchise. There's a thread a couple of years back where some of the oldest members on this site have admitted to not generally liking KH.
Cyber Shaman repliedNow that you mention it, this has been going on with RWBY as well. There's a Reddit post that adressed this problem https://amp.reddit.com/r/RWBY/comments/5un4b8/why_rwby_fans_hate_rwby/
Merilly repliedI can't quite relate to such a mindset. I'm not going to tell people how to spend their freetime but personally, I do not enjoy being miserable but rather do things I actually enjoy doing. Not to mention that it doesn't help if some individuals are unnecessarily toxic about it. It's why I often avoid fandoms in general and keep to myself. I'm not saying these series don't have any flaws, they have plenty, but the hate is sometimes unreasonable.
Cyber Shaman repliedMe neither, most fandoms try to twist your conception of your favorite franchises with their elitist mindset. I'm not very proud of this but I avoid certain games/Tv Shows due to the fanbase associated. Like for instance I avoided playing Dragonball Fighterz because of the extremely toxic community and the elitist FGC.
Merilly repliedI don't avoid the franchises themselves, just the associated fanbase. After all, they can be easily ignored if it's not an MMO type of game and I don't want my joy in gaking to be impaired just because some people are toxic. It's easier to just not get involved since most of that envjronment happens on dedicated websites.
Iamkingdomhearts1000 repliedWait, i'm confused, sorry for joining the conversation but can i ask what do you two mean by toxic and elitist FGC? i don't understand, just asking is all.
Merilly repliedNo need to be sorry, I guess? It's not my status but I kinda jumped into it, too. What we're mainly talking about is how certain franchises have really toxic communities/fanbases. That can manifest itself in a variety of mannerisms, butbto give a few examples, there are those who are very very possessive over their favorites, claiming "casual fans" can ruin the fandom and what we were mainky discussing about are those who spread
Merilly replieda lot of hate and negativity in the community by only pointing out flaws and being extraordinarily loathsome toward a series in a way where normal fans would question why they even spend that much time on a franchise they actually hate with such a passion. You see that kind of behavior especially in long-lasting series like KH, RWBY, etc and it doesn't stem from them being misinformed. They actually know a whole lot about the lore.
Cyber Shaman repliedPretty much we're pointing out the flaws of the fandoms and how people are such philistines.
Merilly repliedI dunno of they can actually be considered trolls since those do that for the sole purpose of annoying people and do not have any particular feeling toward the thing they're making fun about. A lot of those people are very serious about their behavior and do not show such a demeanor because they want to get a reaction out of others bit because they genuinely dwell in their hate and obsessive state.
Iamkingdomhearts1000 repliedI don't want to sound snobbish but why troll when you know its wrong and stupid? i hate it that people purposely know that trolling upsets people and eventually, when it all boils down to it, the trollers get trolled themselves in the end because they brought sad miserable actions on themselves, know what i mean?
Cyber Shaman repliedIt's becaues some people think trolling is awesome when in reality it shows how petty they are.
Iamkingdomhearts1000 repliedAre we petty ourselves when we talk about other people being petty? even if that is the truth, i still like to believe that there are good people in the world who genuinely want to be good because they are good natured.
Cyber Shaman repliedNo we're not being petty, we're criticizing a very very small minority of individuals.
Iamkingdomhearts1000 repliedI know we're not being petty but i wondered if in a bigger picture we were, not intentionally though, i am being confusing :[?
Merilly repliedI don't think so. Defending something you are passionate about with a certain amount of civility and rationality is nothing which should be considered petty. Even if it were, I would gladly be degraded as such than not stand up for what I cherish. I won't get into petty arguments though since we all know that you cannot argue with people who are that deeply trapped in their own hate. Would be pointless and, indeed, petty.
Iamkingdomhearts1000 repliedYou Merilly are a very wise person, that deserves honest cheers that does :].
Cyber Shaman repliedI'm not sure it's just me or are people getting more and more narrowminded? Maybe it's always been that way and I just started noticing it. But it's always bothered me how unfair things are being treated.
Merilly repliedIt's not just you. It does appear to be the case, as terrible as it sounds. I don't even now what happened that let such a bold negativity affect them to such a degree. I just think that the more popular something becomes, the more some of the older fans start to go on a rampage claiming it's all going downhill. Similar to that immediate hate toward anything mainstream, as though people merely care about maintaining a special snowflake status.
Iamkingdomhearts1000 repliedIn a way, its trying to maintain perfection if anything when really perfection itself doesn't exist.
Merilly repliedThe concept does exist, it's just very individual and even then there are not a lot of things where we would think 'this is perfect'. There will always be instances where we think 'I would have liked this development better'. The question remains though why some people suddenly become this way when it never bothered them before. Or what we were originally talking about, why they spent so much time on clinging to their hate.
Iamkingdomhearts1000 repliedMy mum once told me that people are just born bad if they have hateful traits within them but i think its from imprinting and learning about hate while growing up, maybe?
Merilly repliedA part is actually determined by genes. Now, that doesn't imply that someone is born bad or good, but only that they're easier influenced into certain mannerisms. We are still the sum of our experiences and that shapes who we are in the end. But genes certainly make us more prone toward certain issues, like mental health problems or just how we deal with things. But no one starts out as bad. It still needs to be triggered.
Iamkingdomhearts1000 repliedRight, so does that mean people with faulty genes always turn out bad? just wondering.
Merilly repliedOf course not. That depends on the outer factors. If I were to compare it, it's like how older people or the very young, along with those with an impaired immune system, are much more prone to catch colds. In the same manner, genes merely increase the likelihood to manifest certain traits if those are feeded. Similar to a virus infecting a system. I wouldn't call them faulty either since a lot serves a purpose, even something negative at times.

Sailing into the Yugo x Amalia ship EVERYONE GET IN
Cyber Shaman repliedI honestly have mixed feelings about this...Amalia had a really nasty attitude in the first two seasons and she even laughed at Ruel when he mentioned that he was in love at some point in his life. I don't think she deserves this due to her snobby attitude and her constant put downs on her friends for no reason. I think Yugo can do better
Cyber Shaman repliedBut at the sametime she's (kinda?) nicer and Yugo needs someone involved in his life
