I have decided that when the snow is over, I am going to sit my mother down and have the 'growing up and leaving' talk. I am just not happy living where I do anymore, and so I want to drive and get a job and move out.

Queen Tery repliedWell chances are that any job you'd get would be minimum wage, since I doubt you have experience and you're in high school or just out of high school, not sure which. That would be 7.25 an hour. Let's say that on the lucky chance that the company you start working for gives you full time, 40 hours a week, then you'd be making about 950 bucks a month, give or take. Depended on the vehicle you drive, basic insurance would be approximately 50 to 100 dollars a month, possibly more...

Health insurance is a requirement by law now as well, so that's approximately 80 bucks a month just for yourself, rent for a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment is (depending on your area) 500 to 700 bucks a month, plus electric and water(utilities) which are sometimes included in the rent bill but other times are not, cable could be between 30 and 70 dollars...

That's probably going to cover your monthly bills, but then you have practically no money to put away in case you have vehicle issues and then you can't get to work and then you could get fired and then your income becomes 0. Just saying. It might be easier to appreciate what you have and stick around at home for a while.

You say you feel trapped well how trapped are you going to feel when you don't have the money to go do anything other than work and sleep?

WakingDawn96 repliedI just am not happy living here anymore. I feel like I am trapped, and I just want to be able to go out and explore in life, I can't be trapped in one place forever, I just want to find that one place on earth that I can call home, but it is no where near where I live.
