You know, I find it REALLY annoying how Data Final Xemnas just randomly starts his lazer phase in the middle of a combo without any sort of warning. I guess that's one of his HP barriers. But this really makes it a little scary fighting him at lvl 1.

I find it hard to remember posts people barely post in from months at a time. For example I really did forget that there was a blue exorcist anime 2017 thread until someone told me. I knew it existed. I just forgot about it because of the lack of posts. I even followed the thread to make sure I don't forget about it. Looks like it didn't work as well as I planned.

I really need to track down an original copy of Final Fantasy VI so I can play it again... Why didn't I get it as a kid?
Mystics Apprentice repliedThat is my favorite FF by far. I still have my original copy for the SNES that I bought when I was around 8, but yeah it is rather expensive now, even on eBay. The GBA version is cheaper, but it's just not the same.
Shulk replied@Mystics It's my favorite too! I played it on the Wii Virtual Console, but now that I'm getting more into retro game collecting, I really want an original SNES copy and decided I wouldn't play the game again until I got one... At this rate, that could take a while.
@Joker It took me a while to get around to finishing it, but by the time I got to the game's final act, I ended up spending a week or so trying to power through it. It was definitely worth the effort.

Merilly repliedA lot of people don't get the concept of an opinion. I still prefer the models done with the Luminous engine, but it seems that one is quite troublesome overall. A few months back I would have strongly disagreed, but now the models don't look bad at all. They could use a bit more polishing, but nothing to get worked up over. <_<
KeybladeLordCheeseCurd repliedI think they're fine. If anything they look off when in dark environments. But I also feel like it's unfair to judge Kairi's new character model in the final trailer when she only appeared for about 1.2 seconds while talking and blinking at the same time. And besides I don't know if they're actually using recent footage or old versions of footage from months ago similar to how they make the KH3 trailers.

Honestly, I don't think people think they look bad, it's just that they don't like the art direction. I feel like a lot of people expected the characters to look like they do in CG cutscenes but Square decided to go to a style that's mid-cartoony/mid-realistic and that's just not what people expected. HaneulWay repliedI mean they're not really representative of the lighting and texturing, 2.8 with regards to 0.2 and back cover pull from kh3. Back cover has the texture and models down while 0.2 has environment and lighting to a degree. Just from seeing how much they've refined the graphics. Everything will be about the same but a little sweeter, if that makes any sense. Excited either way
PrinceNoctis repliedOh yeah I see what you mean, like looking at terra's outfit...There is a lack of texturing there. But the character model, as in the face, the body shape, the hair doesn't look bad at all...The clothing just needs a little work in 0.2 But as you said, Back cover has proven what they can do with textures so KH3 is probably gonna have that amount of details. I mean the graphics have improved tremendously since within 6 months so I can only imagine what they managed to do within the past...
Merilly repliedI also feel that a lot of people just don't like the style because it's different from what we're used to. I still think they can use some detail, for example the faces need to move more. If you look at the 3D cutscenes, you can see that eyes , eyelids and eyebrows move and usually don't remain static, even if only one emotion is displayed. 0.2 still lacks that a bit since sometimes, nothing but the mouth is moving, not even the chin.

But I believe that the scenes where only the mouth is moving are scenes that are basically using an upgraded version of the "fish face" or "default face" we had in earlier games... Hopefully, there won't be too much of that but it's gonna be in the game for sure. Most Square games have those kind of scenes...from KH2 to FFXIII to FFXV...

The eyes and clothes could still use some depth but all in all, it's getting better. It's far from garbage and despite not being perfect, a lot is just getting used to the new style. There're still a lot of things which could be improved, mostly those tiny little things like movement, etc. Nonetheless, to each their own, I guess, but as someone who harshly criticized the models before, it... -

Everyone's on about the glorious FFXV, the upcoming KH 2.8...and I'm just here wondering if I can survive 'till Tuesday due to the anticipation of The Dawning in Destiny AND the Overwatch Holiday Event.
Nero Kunivas repliedAhh, Overwatch has Seasonal Events where more skins and shit can be earned and new themed game modes can be played. It started with the Overwatch Summer Games, then Overwatch Halloween Terror and now it's going to be a Christmas/Winter Festivities Event. The Overwatch Winter Event starts this Tuesday.
