I am sure most, if not all, of you have seen the amazing new KH3 trailer. Many of you have vocally said that Roxas would come back in KH3. I responded and immediately shot it down or downgraded such theories because I thought once he returned to Sora, that was it. Now, never have I ever thought such a theory would become fact. I feel kind of bad and regret having struck down or even degraded or downgraded any said theories and feel like I have been condescending in some cases towards some people. For all of that, I apologize and admit that you were right and I was wrong.

 DDD confirmed this and that was years ago.

I said this many times, its a disney story after all so everybody gets a happy end

He does not have to believe anyone's theories but when games like RE:Coded and DDD spell it out for you over and over the last thing you should do is deny the blatant "clues" and "hints" that those games hit you over the head with over and over. Which many people did just because they did not want these characters back.

I'm going to have to agree with Lea here. Watch the end world of DDD over again, why would they put such emphasis on all these characters, including Roxas who are no longer among them in the present story? Especially Sora telling him he is his own person and deserves his own life.  Re:coded's ending emphasized this too, with Roxas being one of the ones still hurting.  Theories can be disputed, but I don't find what the games have spelled out for us vague at all. 

Honestly it isn't that surprising. They probably wanted Roxas to be back from the start.

Heck, days wouldn't have such a big focus on Roxas if he didn't come back.

I don't see why drama would make a game more epic... Games can be amazing without a lot of people dying and without being edgy, dark and gloomy. Those features don't automatically make a story more profound or intriguing. If you like those, okay, but I feel like quite a few are under the impression that good stories can't have happy endings for a majority of characters

I thought it was pretty much guaranteed that Roxas and Xion would return, considering how they are still "hurting" in their own ways.  After all, they were denied the right to exist as themselves, and were instead being used to serve the needs of, and to complete, another person.  I want to see both of them return as themselves, as fully realized beings.

 

As for Namine, I was never really sure about her.  I thought her story had pretty much concluded, and she was more or less forgiven for what she did to Sora and co.  The only thing I can think of to justify here return is restoring Sora's memories of Castle Oblivion, without rearranging or wiping away his current memories.  Sora and co. will most likely have to make their way back to CO in order to reawaken Ventus, unless something else happens in the plot where that isn't necessary.

 

Speaking of epic returns or comebacks, how about Vanitas?  I've always wanted to see him in future games after his incredible debut in BBS.  Sure, he was soundly defeated in several fights, but was quite the antagonist nonetheless.
