Because honestly, I can't stand this anymore. I'M GETTING OFF KH3 HYPE TRAIN DEFINITELY. Seriously, everybody, it's done for me. Much like when he (Nomura) said that BBS 0.2 was going to be a short episode* (pretty much a KH3 demo), this announcement of "less Disney worlds with more content" has killed brutally all my hype for the next title. They already tried to do this thing in DDD and it didn't turn out very well. (Huge worlds with pretty much nobody living in them). Usually, numbered sequels (main titles) of games are "upgrades" of the former title, but KH3 is an exception to the rule. What kind of more content? More areas to explore, more treasure chests to open, more enemies to kill? It's no big deal. Also, Nomura said that KH3 will not have all the answers to every question, which means it will certainly leave us with more unanswered questions. Oh, and he also said that, with KH3, he will try to meet everybody's expectations. Well, guess what, Nomura? YOU WON'T. You should really be careful when you try to generalize people with words like these. KH2 had more Disney worlds than KH1, so why should KH3 be an exception to the rule? I guess, even with Disney worlds such as Tangled, Big Hero 6 and Toy Story (3 of my favorite Disney films EVER) appearing in the next title, that won't be enough to convince me to care about this game anymore.

*BBS 0.2 only had 3 Disney worlds to explore. Really? Firetrucking really? What about La Cité des Cloches, Beauty's Castle, the Dalmatians's world, The Land of Dragons, Prankster's Paradise, The Grid, Bambi's world, Dumbo's world and countless other Disney worlds that fell to the darkness? Are you seriously telling me that Castle of Dreams, Dwarf Woodlands and Enchanted Dominion are the only worlds that were consumed? That is ridiculous at maximum level.

I don't know, I could be wrong though, but, until Nomura changes his mind or go back with this idea of "less Disney worlds" in KH3, I'm out of the hype train definitely. Oh, and this is also because all this stress, anxiety and nervous moments I'm having with KH3 are killing me inside (almost literally). So, I'm doing what I believe is the best for me.

Anyway, I wish you guys only the best feelings and wishes that there is in the entire universe from today, until KH3 launches and forever. Enjoy your stay on the hype train and have lots of fun. (That doesn't mean I won't be making other posts here on the site regarding the KH series in general, it's just like this: "Oh, KH3, whatever").

In all honesty I know KH3 won't be a good game whenever there are behind the scenes problems it seems some quality of the product suffers.  In truth I'm just gonna get it so i can finish the story. But it doesn't mean I can't hope its good. I think it seriously depends on what worlds they have chosen and how fleshed out they are.

I certainly do not think that KH3 is going to be a perfect game, and have my share of concerns for it as well, but I'm going to reserve all judgment for when the actual game is completed. Like Felixx said quantity does not equal quality, it depends how they choose to execute these worlds I'd say. KH did have less Disney worlds than KH2 and many fans still regard it as one of the best entries in the series, it works both ways.

Also on BBS 0.2 I can understand why we only got three Disney worlds. It's just a small episode it's not a full fledged game. Those weren't the only worlds that were consumed, we know this, perhaps they were the only ones she encountered during the game's place on the timeline.

If jumping off the hype train is what you feel is best for you, more power to you! But for me personally, I'm going to wait and see how things turn out closer to the completion of the game.  xD

I am disappointed by the fact that there are less Disney worlds than KH2, but I'm still hyped a little bit. However, KH3 finally needs a good trailer that blows my mind. Until then I won't be convinced that this game will turn out good.

I cannot deny that I'm hyped for knowing that it will soon be out but I haft admit that my hype for the game was much stronger back when they announced it in 2013. Back then I remember interviews where Nomura stated that NPC's would be partaking in battle and play a much bigger role. Of course things do change over the development stages but my biggest fear of disappointment is that the npc won't be animated into the worlds and instead disappear after the cutscenes. Not only would that feel awkward but also undeniably bad after how far they've come with the graphics and more complex 3d worlds. However I will remain cautious and of course curious but even I'm starting to feel a little off about if the game has been rushed. I just really hope that it manages to balance 3D films with a small bunch of new classics. And I hope for the best for KH3.

i don't think nomura was ever trying to imply only three worlds had fallen into darkness. those worlds were there because they were relevant to BBS (first three worlds you visit in the game) and KH1 (home worlds of 3 Princesses of Heart). and technically that was still one world called "Dark Realm" or something.

also i really don't understand why some people bank so much on a single game when there are other games out to occupy your time with. people who complain that they've been waiting over a decade for KH3 must not have realized there can be more than one video game in development at a time. KH3 needs to be something people passively wait for. do something else with your time while you wait. don't just sit around twiddling your thumbs and checking the clock. that kind of attitude seems more appropriate when the games release is right around the corner or when we have a solid release date.

and honestly i was a bit upset over the smaller number of Disney worlds but if they're anything like 0.2 (which i'm sure they will be) i'll be fine with that. it's about quality over quantity and if we get a really tight experience at the cost of a few missing Disney worlds then fine by me.

"*BBS 0.2 only had 3 Disney worlds to explore. Really? Firetrucking really? Just thinking about those 3 Disney worlds in BbS0.2, I guess they are there because of the fact these worlds belong to 3 out of 7 characters (7 Princesses of Heart). And Aqua DID travel into those worlds as well as Terra and Ventus.

What about La Cité des Cloches, Beauty's Castle, the Dalmatians's world, The Land of Dragons, Prankster's Paradise, The Grid, Bambi's world, Dumbo's world and countless other Disney worlds that fell to the darkness? Bambi, Dumbo, and the countless Disney worlds, I guess it's up to us KH fans to use our own imagination regarding those worlds, no matter how much we wish to see them and how the characters will play out in those worlds. I may not know why Nomura didn't make an scenario of those countless words, but that's what I think about it. Maybe he wanted us to use our own imagination regarding those worlds that's hasn't made an appearance in the games, but some of the characters from those respected worlds did made an appearance. And they had a purpose and we just know their worlds has been consumed into darkness.

La Cite des Cloches, The Grid, Pranksters Paradise: We only know those worlds are Sleeping Worlds, and they are awaken by Sora and Riku's influences? I think that's close enough for us to see their scenarios in those Sleeping Worlds. Maybe there's no need for Aqua to travel in those worlds. Just Sora and Riku. Like I said: I guess it's up to us to use our own imagination regarding those countless worlds.

Are you seriously telling me that Castle of Dreams, Dwarf Woodlands and Enchanted Dominion are the only worlds that were consumed? That is ridiculous at maximum level."  Like I said: "I guess they are there because of the fact these worlds belong to 3 out of 7 characters (7 Princesses of Heart). And Aqua DID travel into those worlds as well as Terra and Ventus." That doesn't mean in the perspective of BbS0.2's, they are the only worlds that were consumed. I know. I know. This the third time I've said this: "I guess it's up to us to use our own imagination regarding those countless worlds." And by us playing the first game and beginning to end, we know the worlds were consumed and by Sora, Donald, Goofy, The King, and Riku doing what they did at the end (And through Aqua's POV in 0.2), the worlds were restored. Meaning those countless? are restored back to normal. I guess common sense and following the KH logic? -shrugs-

There may be a reason why they are less number of Disney worlds in KH3. I don't really know why that is, but I'm alright with it either way. It really doesn't matter to me. And as for you, that's your decision to give up your expectations regarding KH3. I can't really say anything negative about your judgement. (I don't really use the term "hype" Sorry...)

I think it's pretty sad that people are feeling like the disney worlds are "The main Thing" of kingdom hearts. To me I really don't care about which disney world includes in kingdom hearts 3. Not even the amount DDD is my second favourite KH game and that one has just 7 worlds.

I care about the story and how big it will be and About the characters. The reason TO EVEN BE HYPED is to see all these characters we got to know through this francise are coming to one big game.

And about 0.2. Like you said it was supose to feel like a demo for KH3. So act like its a demo.

Quantity does not equal quality. Just because KH3 will have less worlds than KH2 doesn’t mean it has less potential. Seriously, just wait till the game comes out before you already get so mad.

I fully agree. We don't know if the game is even fully complete. I do agree that while the original poster has some okay points, he's getting upset over something that isn't even finished yet.

Let the finished product have some time in the sun, and play it. I mean, I'm not on the hype train, but that's mainly because the bigger the hype, the more expectations people have.

I don't feel that KH3 is mainly about the Disney worlds for me. Since throughout the years the series has had me engaged in it's original stories and that have played a huge impact in why KH means more aside from FF and Disney.

But I would be lying if I didn't say that Disney is also a big part of why I adore the series. I hear lots of fans especially on Facebook, who all the time are trying to sugar coat the Disney content being too lighthearted. Or that it would be better if they took away the Disney content in whole. I beg to differ!

without the Disney content KH wouldn't be the same in this day of age as it is this year. And what do they mean with the Disney content being sugar coated? It's mostly serious and actually deals with either real problems and how ones solve them. And away from the more depressing parts it's nice to have a change where you can feel some more playfulness and joy while playing throughout the games. This comment is not directed to anyone in the topic but to those who whine about Disney ruining the series on social media and outside of the fandom. Just think of how much Disney has helped KH throughout the years and that Disney is finally representing KH more than ever before. So yeah Disney and it's worlds for KH3 means a lot to me but I care now more so for the characters we've grown to love and care for. I just want them to be happy for KH3.

  • 3 weeks later...

KH has never truly been full sale about Disney for do the worlds of Disney add a charm to the series and interesting concepts that wouldn't be there without them, yeah of course but at the same time the reason we are probably getting less Disney Worlds is because the worlds we are getting are in high quality and are meant to be vast in size.

Even then we really shouldn't judge this sorta stuff until we get hands-on with the game which if it's not releasing in November or December is not even a year away anymore.
