that's where the number comes from, might even be more than that if other manifest the same way he did

So it's potentially only 8 usable ones and Ifrit. Oh well, maybe they'll have some bonus Eikons in the post game or something or free DLC like XV and Garuda

Yeah different FFs have different ways of naming summons.

Espers, Aeons, Eidolons, Eikons, Summons, Primals, Guardian Forces, Avatars, Astrals... Surprising how little there actually are.
