Hey guys, Im a fan of all the games, yet I dont understand why ppl are looking forward so much to a KH3. I mean, I personally think all the KH games are great. Yet I've seen ppl ignore the portable titles saying they dont count or that they only wish to play the numbered games. My question is why does this happen? Does a name really make a game more or less enjoyable? I do understand that there are different teams working on the games, and more attention and work can be given to each. But still, why the fuss over a number?

It is because people these days think they are worthless to the series. It is sad they did not even give a chance to Birth by Sleep and probably not even to DDD.

I just cant wait to see their posts during or after Kh3 story

Because Nomura teases us. You know how epic BBS, KHI and KHII are. Add the fact we've waiting since 2005 for KHIII, along with the secrets endings and what do you get? Impatience and dismissal. I guess some people aren't as bothered by the teasers as the majority of the fandom is.

Considering that all the side games have given more plot developement ( Days, BBS) and continuation of story(DDD) while others give more detail or explanations, i dont mind the side games..To be honest i loved BBS and Days more than KH1....I loved Kh2 dont get me wrong its actually my favorite of the series..But i loved the side games for those many reasons as well. DDD has also continued the main plot so that cant be used as a complaint really.I think some complain of having the side games on so any different platforms causing them to have to spend a lot of money in order to play all the different games on different systems..However, KH3 i bet will be on a possible playstation 4....For those who skipped the side games they will lost and very sorry trying to play KH3 LOL

I can't wait to see how well these people understand why things the way they are when they finally get their KH3, they're gonna be soooo lost. >D

We want the FULL KH experience for which we are and will be waiting for so long.

 

3. Limitations. The hardware of consoles like the DS hinder KH games' full potential. Imagine how much better as example re:coded would've been on the PS3.

 

But again... I really like the handheld titles ALOT! And I also know that we can't do anything about KH III late release due to FFvs13 (for which I am excited too by the way)

I understand that, but you dont pick up a book, read the first 2 chapters, and skip to the final chapter. That wouldn't make any sense. You need to read all the other chapters as you work yourself towards the end.

I dont think the industry does, I think the fan base are the ones who put the higher value.

I wouldn't call them side games, they are Main games, all part of the same big story, working in unison to provide the big picture. I do agree the multiple platforms can be a hassle, but it also allows each game to push the system. Also KH3 will be on the current generation of systems. And yes they will be lost.

Ah ok, here is a post that actually presents a valid argument. I still disagree with said argument, but I find it valid. Ok so:

 

1.1 Yes I agree, the games are not as big. But that is not neccessarily a bad thing. My favorite KH game happens to be Chain of Memories. The different teams adds to different feels on the story. And I can see how some ppl may not enjoy a certain feel. As for me, I love variety. It spices up things.

2. It is not about the number or the title. It is the experience KH III stands for. I wouldn't care if it was called "KH: This Game Is Stupid And Not A Numbered Title" as long as it is a KH by the true KH team programmed on a strong and big Sony console like the PS3 (but we all know its going to be PS4) which delivers EVERYTHING the KH fans long for with a LONG main story many side quests great graphics great story great cutscenes great gameplay ON A BIG SCREEN and focusing on the storyline after KH II or now after KH: DDD and climaxing (yes I said climaxing.... stop laughing you pre-pubescent pricks) in the final showdown against (Master) Xehanort.

 

1.1 Well yes.. games that aren't as good as they COULD be is actually a bad thing. As we both say.. they are good. But they would be better included as a part of KH III programmed on a stronger console which allows "better everything" which leads us directly to 3.

I mean that the hardware of the PS4 could not even be compared to those of the 3DS which broadens the limits for the game as example: better graphics, more content, better cutscenes in real time which are also VOICED... more side quests, bigger and more worlds, better controls, viewed on a big ass HD TV and I bet many more advantages I can't pick outta my head right now.

1. I want a super epic and amazing PS3 KH game

I am eager for Kingdom Hearts 3 for one reason: To know the truth about the mysteries in the story.

 

Not that I want this game to end but I want this series to continue with fresh stories, one that Nomura doesn't make up as he goes along. I think my biggest issue about the series is that, there is no plan ahead. I think it is a story-as-we-go-along type of story which I hate.

 

 

I also think that Kingdom Hearts games are all important but some are just more important than others. Regardless, I love the series no matter what. And I would wait eagerly to know the truth.

Basically, people complain because 2006 was the last MAIN MAIN game came out, which was Kingdom Hearts II. Then what, 5 years of sugar coating the series with numerous games that just make KH go from an easy-to-get-into series that was seriously fun and loveable, to a complex piece of clusterfiretruck that even Einstein would have trouble trying to make a theory about it? They want KH3 now, so they can see the ending. To see how the cherry on top. To finish off one of their greatest experiences ever...and then starting fresh with a new Saga, whatever that will be. Why bother making more plot holes when the game is fine as it is?

 

Then you have two more issues to begin on with the later games. Portable Console and its limitation, as with someone said above. First off, I'm sure everyone is really sick of buying a new system so that they could play KH. PS2 - KH1, ReCoM, KH2. GBA - CoM. DS - 358/2 Days, Recoded. PSP - Birth by Sleep. 3DS - Dream Drop Distance. I'm sure it's not rocket science to figure out that they keep spreading to many systems, and systems ARE NOT CHEAP. It's seriously that diverse in gaming that causes such an annoyance that they just want KH3 and that's it. And secondly, you have to deal with the system's limits. Obiviously, when the KH series was starting out, PS2 wasn't exactly Tier 1 in graphics, space, power, etc. The same could be said to the newer systems. They may be better than PS2 (somehow) in anyway seen possible, but you seen how 358/2 Days worked. It's graphics was quite....pixalish, space was crammed so much, its mechanics are quite bleh...I mean, I don't know what else to say. But let's take PS3. PS3, or hell even 360, is top notch. It pretty much blows the competition away. Seeing KH3 on it would feel orgasmic to any fan who played KH. All the things that were wrong in the portable systems or things that could not have worked or was limited on, is fixed and revamped on KH3. I can't time travel myself, but if I got to play KH3, I'd say firetruck all the other games, in all honesty.

 

I don't mind seeing more games, because Nomura keeps making the games fun, as well as keeping strong plots for the games (Recoded not so much, but whatever, still was playable). Other people are done with seeing them, because it's the same thing with different changes. Concept is the same, and really just repetitive. KH DDD is of course becoming groundbreaking, and that's why you're seeing a lot more people excited for that than like Recoded. New way of playing, new ally system, definitely new worlds (cmon, a couple new worlds for Birth by Sleep?), lots of mindblowns. What else can I say?

It's just crumbs of a cookie, not even a regular one. Of course, sucks to be them when they're not updated on the series. It's also not even hard to see the games without playing them. It's called YouTube. Wallthroughs? Video productions? No? But then the people are like, "O NOES ITS NOT THE SAME AS PLAYING IT". Gee willy, then buy the systems? No money? That's the real world, you don't get what you want. Like how you don't get KH3. Sell your bodies on the streets? Mickey would be disappointed.

 

I think that's my only complaint to them. People just make things harder than it seems lol.
