As you can see... The "time gap" between these two games is huge so... It's obvious that Sora's voice actor voice would change a lot xD

When i first played kh1 i thought sora was voice acted as a girl. Then when i heard him in kh2 i thought the actor was different only to find they were the same

Since Re: Chain of Memories came out after KH2 this is to be expected. I also thought that like all the characters had new voice actors so I spent many a minute looking thru the credits to see if it was true... "Sigh" oh Ansem your new voice is so much better.

I hoped that Haley would at least try to sound younger for ReCoM, but alas... no. Sora's voice is total discontinuity.

I remember the first time I played Re:COM and was thinkin' "WHAT???" when I heard HJO's post-puberty voice. :D

And...I think...It'd be cool, if they needed one...Sqeenix could find another voice actor for Sora for his KH1/COM voice. This is just hypothetical of course.

I think it would only be needed for when a KH1/COM remake comes along....along with an updated engine, new animation....and a bunch of other stuff that's not gonna happen. Oh well! I'll settle for an HD import. :)

Well in fairness Haley did do his best to sound younger than when he did Sora's Kingdom Hearts II, plus I think they might've used a voice effect to make him sound younger. At least David was 17 in the first place for Riku and his voice hasn't changed as much!

True. Riku's ReCoM voice didn't bother me as much.

Dammit, Haley. Why couldn't you wait longer for puberty?

Well, you could hear the voice change process starting in KH1 a little bit. Some scenes, his voice was deeper than others. I guess at the conclusion of KH1 and the beginning of Re:Com (which probably a span of... 4 days TOPS) he completely conquered puberty change. :) Sora's cool like that.

In Soviet Russia, puberty waits for no one(I heard Haley went there for vacation and came back a man).

I think that it works better now since Sora has aged in the games. At least they aren't replacing him, that would be horrible.

It still works. Sora is still a teenager. Osment still sounds like a tennager. But...I don't really like how he's trying to sound younger in KH3D. It's hurting his emotional range. =(

I said puberty to!

great minds think alike

It's funny how people seem to think Sora's voice has changed again in KH:DDD. It's still Haley Joel Osment. I'm pretty sure puberty doesn't strike twice.

I know, really! His voice does sound a little different in Dream Drop Distance, but not enough to say it's changed again. I actually thought he sounded a little like Vanitas, but perhaps that's because I just completed BbS when I played it.

Ah KH.....the place where puberty hits you like a freight train xD

I played KH2 first and a tiny bit of Re:CoM and thought it was completely normal....then played KH1 a couple months later and went O.O eh? Then I realized it was a rather large gap between games. So it was kinda reverse for me xD But still weird at first.

I thought that Sora was voiced by a girl in KH1 and then they switched his VA to a guy in KH2. I only recently found out that it was the same person.

I felt that Sora sounded like a boy the whole time....

I didn't hear a change at all in DDD.

Yep, Haley's big boy, and so is Sora (as consequence). His voice changed a lot, but in CoM it kinda makes sense, since you can say Sora is getting older, and his voice is changing. Good thing when it turns out okay, but then KH3D comes to f*ck voice acting. But it wasn't that bad anyway.
