  • I'd love for Kingdom Hearts 3 to → ALSO ← be on the Wii U too.   Sony fanboys: PS3 blah blah blah just PS3 blah blah blah maintitles PS3 exclusive blah blah blah ALL KH FANS OWN PS3s blah blah bla

Never experienced any problems with my PS2 and I had it for YEARS. I never heard of PS2 failures or malfunctions.

My black PS2 started getting disk read errors about six months after I got it, and all out failed shortly after. My replacement slim has had no major problems yet, but I STILL get disk read errors, even from brand new games

It would be a nice idea if KH3 had a dual PS3/WiiU release. However, even though it's not their style, I have a feeling Sony will dish out some SERIOUS dough to make the game exclusive.

Sorry but most of these ideas just sound gimmicky to me. I mean don't get me wrong, these are good ideas, but the majority of things you listed have all been done in past KH games without the need of a touch screen mechanic or a motion control mechanic. The party switching was done great in KH2. You didn't even have to pause the game. The cutscene idea just doesnt make sense IMO. Flashbacks can play on the TV just fine. (There might not even be any flashbacks on KH3.) The gummi ship levels in KH2 controlled great, so why use motion controls? The drives/summons and command deck idea does't make sense to me either. And the shotlock idea does seem pretty cool but I was fine with how it was in BBS. These ideas are just gimmicks for the sake of gimmicks I think.

I would probably be down for the Wii U (I actually would prefer the PS3 as a favourite for it) but I, along with probably a lot of other fans, won't have 500 quid for such a system for one game.

Yeah the next gen and its at most a little better than ps3/360. The Playstation controller is the best controller that has ever been released. thats why xbox tried to copy (and failed) and when you look at a lot of pc conrollers they look pretty much like a playstation controller.

I've experianced it. ;)

Haha Nintendo cures cancer

Ha, PS2? I love it, but Super Nintendo is the best.

Great opinion, just don't try to force it on me now. xD

No reason why PS3, Wii U, and even Xbox 360 couldn't get this game. Console exclusives are a thing of the past with 3rd parties (except for portables since they are drastically different) and as someone mentioned earlier Square hasn't been exclusive to anyone for years (FF versus XIII and the portable games being the exception)

I hope they release Kingdom Hearts III for both PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U.

Look, I know KHII might not be on the Wii U, but you have to admit, it would be a sweet idea! Here's why..

1. Kingdom Hearts has been on both mobile and home consoles, and if you look at Wii U videos, its clear that the Wii U is a combination of Both! play it on the T.V like in KH 1&2, or in your hands. like the rest of the series lol

2. we can still keep stuff like Reality Shift, and switching party members can be as easy as it was in KH3D! (just think about how much fast the menu process can go)

3. The Wii U MIGHT be the most powerful system when KHIII comes out, MIGHT OK Nintendo Haters?

4. They can put Cut scenes on the big screen, and flash backs and stuff in the touch screen, (if the TV is on lol) like they did with 358/2 days

5. It could be possible to bring back drives and summons and still have the command deck from BBS, (think about it, commands on the T.V, Drives and Summons on the control pad.) and (using the Back trigger buttons and gyro-control) we can bring the Shot lock commands as well!!

6. you can control the gummi ship with the control pads gyroscope! that would be cool, maybe a little awkward but Still cool

7. "The Possibilities are Endless" - Nintendo

although these are good ideas for some, I REALLY REALLY hope they release it for both PS3 AND WII U :3

I support all the way I would love for them to make it a specail edition like wii u gets reality shift and touch screen stuuff love it

I'm going to offer a rebuttal here. Not trying to be hostile, just realistic:

1) The WiiU, despite the commercials, is NOT a combination of portable and home consoles. The controller can't leave the system's range, making it a solely home console. The difference is you can play some select games on a smaller screen wherever you are in your house, not take them with you when you leave.

2) I have no opinion on the Reality Shift system. It seems like it could work fine on WiiU. But being able to navigate menus using a touch screen isn't really a strong selling point for me. Pushing a screen icon doesn't seem that quicker than pressing a button.

3) Who cares how powerful the system is? Seriously, why would this matter? If Square was going to put out KH games solely on the most powerful systems, then 358/2 Days, Coded, and DDD would've been on the PSP and Vita, not the DS and 3DS. Yes, the WiiU will be more powerful when it comes out, but will be outstripped within two years by the PS4 and Xbox 720. Power doesn't matter in this case.

4) Those flashbacks were pertinent to the game's perspective, and used to show how Roxas was remembering instances from Sora's life. This concept doesn't really work in other contexts.

5) Drives, summons, and the command deck can all exist without the WiiU's controller, but that's not why this idea is unlikely to happen. Drives, commands, shot lock, AND reality shift? That's a crowded, and frankly schizophrenic, battle system. More options sounds like a good idea, but it's just too much and would come off as sloppy.

6) No. The "control a ship with motion controls" gimmick never works out the way it should, and is less fun than developers think. And again, this isn't a feature that is WiiU exclusive.

7) Using Nintendo's opinion of their own console isn't a point, it's propaganda.

If the KHIII on the WiiU that's fine, but it had better be multiplatform if that's the case. It's not about one console being better than the other. It's about paying respects to the original fans of the series. It's about creating a game that's true to the most important entries, not showcasing Nintendo's newest controller/console. And it's about consistency, something the series has been lacking now for a long time; Kingdom Hearts fans shouldn't have to buy every new console that comes out to keep up with their favorite series. We've been waiting a whole generation for a new console game. Skipping to the NEXT one just seems cruel.

4) Those flashbacks were pertinent to the game's perspective, and used to show how Roxas was remembering instances from Sora's life. This concept doesn't really work in other contexts.

Actually, I can think of a very good use for that. A way to get any newcomers, or people who haven't played up to speed. Basically, whenever a character says "Remember when this happened in that other game?" the controller could flash up some scenes from the game it came from, either reminding, or showing the player what happened before

eg: "But we trapped Jafar in the lamp!" (Bottom screen shows Jafar going inside his lamp, followed by a shot of them getting rid of the lamp)

I thought about that. It's a viable usage of the second screen to be sure. It needs to be handled carefully though. Does the action on the screen pause when something happens on the controller? If not, you run the risk of missing out on the present story by looking at flashbacks. And if the action is paused anyway, what's the point of having the second screen? Why not just show the flashback on the big screen?

What I liked about the second screen usage in Days was that it occurred simultaneously as gameplay, or in quick flashes. This was reflective of Roxas remembering Sora's adventures though, not trying remind the player of something that happened.

I realize I'm playing devil's advocate here. The idea of flashbacks on a WiiU controller is a good idea for a WiiU version, I just don't think it's a reason to put it on the solely on that console. If it's multiplatform I'm all for whatever makes the game great on each system.

I would like to see it on the PS3. I just think it'd be a lot better. PS3 has killer graphics. I also like getting trophies for doing things. :D I have no intention on buying the Wii U. I loved the Wii when it first came out, but now my Wii practically collects dust.

I think it could definatly work! Since SE is busy with versus 13 and wont be able to release kh3 on the ps3, they might as well make kh3 for wii u for now, then re-release for ps3 when they're done with versus! I think that's full proof right there.

no to kh3 on the wiiu. the tablet would require that they rework the game play. that is because Nintendo will likely have all games that the tablet is the default controller. i don't want game play reworked that much in the same saga. portables are an exception because of the horribleness of com in game play

So here's an idea I had for KH on Wii U: I've always wanted drop-in co-op in a console & Wii U makes it possible to do this without resorting to splitscreen.

Player 1 uses either a pro or classic controller to play on the TV while the 2nd & 3rd players have their own screens on the gamepads.

I suppose technically the same thing could be achieved on PS3 with Vita & 360 with Smartglass but Wii U would be the cheapest way to do it.

... Please no... I just had enough money to get a 3ds, I can't do a wii u! You would think that sora would of gotten tired of jumping between consoles!

Sora hasn't been doing the jumping though. Days, BBS, and Coded all had different protagonists

wrong sora has been on 3 systems as the main player character and that is with using the cop-out of data sora is not sora.

without the cop-out sora in some shape or form is in all the games be that as a multiplayer character or as a kid or in data form

I would love for it to be on the WiiU, mostly because then I won't have to buy another console.

You're right, Sora has jumped to three systems total. PS2 at the start, GBA immediately after, and nearly a decade later, the 3DS

This doesn't make any sense lol busy with Versus so they decide to make another team work on one of the most anticipated games of the last 5 years and put it orignally onto a console they have had no experience with? This doesn't make any sense. We want kh3 to be as good as it possibly can and this requires knowledge of the system it's designed for. Maybe SE should port KH3 later, but making KH3 on WiiU makes no sense when they could bring it out quicker on the PS3.

Dude, Nomura is very busy with versus 13 right now, and would very much like to release kh3 as soon as possible. So now we've got an awesome new system from ninteno which square has done buissnes with for a while with ps3 like graphics and next gen hardware. And not only is a console, it is also PORTABLE. And seriously? You think they are going to have a hard time figuring out the wii u's mechanics just because it's new? Look at all the other systems kh has been on for the first time! And look at how great they turned out! Especially 3D! Besides Nomura said he can't start working on kh3 right now because of versus. At first he said he wants to release it on the ps3 or "the next generation of consoles." And uh... the wii u is the next generation.

I liked your sig xD

About KH3, I think you have awesome ideas. But there's a little problem: mixing elements form all KH games would make them not unique anymore. Each KH game has his own Special Features, like KH2 has Drive Forms and Limits, Days has Limit Breaks, BbS Shotlock, 3D Flowmotion and Dream Eaters. I think KH3 should, and will, have special new features. Although, that doesn't iscard the possibily of it being released on Wii U. But I would rather it to be released for PS3/Xbox360 (or, who knows, PS4), instead.

No-one knows what Nomura is thinking, though. I'm just saying that the ps3, which Nomura and his team have worked on for Versus (which has a similar battle system to KH3, uses a similar engine) and the FF 13 games, is the best and easiest way of making the game. Creating the game for the U will take more time as the second screen has to be utilized, so it makes more sense to release on PS3 first and work on a ported edition with added features (instead of doing a Final Mix create a U version). He could have the BBS/3D team work on 3 but he would want KH3 to be the best game possible and this would require his team. The portable games were made by a team which was used to designing for portables, and forcing them to use consoles would be a stupid idea. Leave console games for teams used to coding for consoles.
