In which game system would you like to see the next KH game?

 

Meh I think its finally time for it to be on PS3, really...

I wouldn't really mind if there was another on the 3DS, that would be cool.

But I want KH3 to be the next game and I want it on PS3.

If it's Kh3, definetly PS3. If it's not, 3DS.

I think we all know that answer!

I am calling it right now, a good 85% (possibly more) of the votes are going to go to PS3, with responses like "PS3 exclusive", "since the first two were on ps2, then kh3 should be on ps3", etc.

 

As for my vote, I chose other, as there are multiple parts to my opinion.

• I would love for it to be on 360, since I actually own one, and KHIII is assuredly going on a home console.

• I have absolutely no interest in buying a PS3, as I can count all the games I would purchase for it with one hand.

• PS3 is most likely because it is the most popular home console of the current generation in Japan. (Except for Wii, but that is soon to be outdated)

• I think it would make more sense for them to do a multi-console release. It would leave more room for profit by expanding the number of people able to purchase the game.

• KH, not counting Final Mixes, has been evenly split between Nintendo and Sony. If we don't include Re:CoM, then Nintendo is in the lead, and if we take out Re:coded as well, then they are again tied.

• Therefore, it would be logical to do a multi-console release on the WiiU (which is going to be either equal to or better than PS3) and PS3. That would cater to the entire fandom, and give Nintendo a "killer app" for their new (probably not so new when KHIII comes out) console. It would be nice if they also did 360, but I really don't believe that would ever happen.

Anyway, let the flood of PS3 responses commence.

 

Edit: Hmm, I misread this thread as being about KHIII not just a new KH game in general. Though, KHIII has been heavily implied to be the next game, so I stick with what I said. If we are to have another handheld game, 3DS please.

Ps3 for sure, having it on the 360 would feel really off.

 

Besides, it's a tradition to have the numbered titles on a Sony console.

I want a multiplatform release for Xbox 360 and PS3, cause I'd really rather not have to buy a ps3.

I would love to see KH3 to come out on the PS3. Not to mention that I hardly even use my PS3...

PS3 would be perfect (I have an Xbox 360 too, but it would just feel wrong playing a KH game on Xbox). I really don't want to have to buy a next gen console just for KH. I would, but I'd rather not.

360? Wth? It should be PS3 exclusive, with maybe the option for the Vita to make it portable between the systems like what FFX HD is rumored to be.

I picked other because I want it solely on PS3, or rather, it's more probable to be solely on PS3. It's already been said that KH3 will be the next game to come out. And let's look at the history of the series for a bit. It won't be on Xbox 360 or 720 or whatever, nor will it be on the Wii U, mostly because if it was going to be on either of those consoles, the Square would have put KH1 or 2 or both on the GameCube and Original Xbox before hand. There's no history of it being on those systems and it seems Square-Enix's relationship with Nintendo in regards to KH is strictly hand-held related. Square-Enix doesn't seem to like Microsoft much, especially if you take into account how many disks there were for the 360 version of FFXIII...so that cuts that. I wouldn't be opposed to another handheld game, except they only made Dream Drop Distance by request from Nintendo to help promote the 3DS. They also said they won't be making one(or it isn't planned to) for the Vita. So logically the next game would solely be released for the PS3/4, depending on development time...

I agree with everyone that Kingdom Hearts III should be on PS3, but i rather have the next game on 3DS.

If its something big like KH3 I would like it on a home console, preferably going multiform, if its something light I wouldn't mind it on a handheld console ;P

 

I don't want to say solely ps3 or solely xbox360 because I only have one of the two.

It's clear that Square Enix are focusing on the Nintendo 3DS now and are done with the DS after the release of Theatrhythm Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance].

 

While the recent Final Fantasy release for the PSP you'd think is it for the PSP.

 

And the Xbox 360 wasn't anything special when it was released at that.

 

Use modern technology.

 

Anyway. It's been pretty much confirmed that the next title in the series will be Kingdom Hearts III and it will be for the PlayStation 3.

 

The only thing they could release before KH3 would be Birth by Sleep -Volume 2- on the PS Vita.

 

In the mean time they can release a HD collection featuring Kingdom Hearts, Re:Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts II and Birth by Sleep for the PS3.

I want an HD Collection to be ported to Vita, after being released on PS3.
