Today at Tokyo Game Show 2012, Square Enix have announced a HD collection of Kingdom Hearts titles, named Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5 ReMIX-. The collection includes Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hears 358/2 Days, all for the PlayStation 3. Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and Re:Chain of Memories will be HD remasters, and have trophy support, while 358/2 Days will simply be cutscenes remade into HD for a Theatre Mode. The release date as this stage is simply 2013.

Update 1: Message from the KINGDOM has provided us with more information about Kingdom Hearts for PC Browsers. Oishii from KH13 is translating this information, and you can read it below.

In memory of this year being the 10th Anniversary of the "Kingdom Hearts" series, we are compiling a collection of the first works "Kingdom Hearts" and "KH Re:Chain of Memories" in HD. Furthermore, 2009’s Nintendo DS game "KH 358/2 Days", which received much credit for its enjoyable story, will be compiled as well.

 

“Kingdom Hearts” (first work) game’s later release with various additional content “KH Final Mix” (Japanese language release) will receive an entire HD rendition.
With the two HD remakes, we will add fully remade HD event scenes from Nintendo’s DS game “KH 358/2 Days”. This remake will give a new feeling to the series, and the 3 editions to the series will be a collection you should look forward to.

Furthermore, KH and KH Re:CoM will also support PlayStation 3's trophy system.

My guess for why Days is included is proably because it hasn't had a remaster/remake unlike the rest of the titles (minus 3D of course).

I'm predicting that they'll make a 2.5 HD remix with 2, Re coded and 3D sometime in the future (we need something in between 3D and 3)

even though all the consoles cost basically the same price range so even if you did buy an xbox you should of had enough money to of gotten a ps3

I pray for it to be released outside of japan if not someone dies but either way im really excited for this if they import kingdom hearts 1 final mix to english cutscenes and gameplay im so hype right now

I'm glad it's the Final Mix Version. I'll be much more excited if and when 2 Final Mix and BBS Final Mix are remade.

Also, I see what they might be doing...this could be the first collection. A KH 2.5 Remix could contain KHII, Birth By Sleep, and Coded.

I posted this here because waht I wanted to say has to do with this game. Okay, to be clear, this is a REMAKE for the PS3 right? Not just a rerelease with some other games, right? Because this means we finally get this game the way it was meant!
