Why are you being so doubtful about HD collection coming overseas?

 

Kingdom Hearts is an overseas series. All games were released in our contries and We always had the chance to play every single one of them. True we didnt have the final mix versions but that wasnt a completely new game just the same games we received earlier but with additional content. This collection wil have 2 packs: 1.5 and 2.5 and they will be completely remade for PS3. Tecnically they arent new games too but its something completely different from final mix versions

 

There's like 4 reasons for this collection being made:

1- Earn money (always the the first priority )

2 - HD tecnical test (KH3 will be in a whole different level)

3 - Bring new fans to the series (money money money)

4 - Keep the olds fans entertained and draw their attention from KH3 to this collection.

 

Lets be honest, Kingdom hearts 3 wont came out until at least 2015.

It will be something like this:

2013 - Kingdom Hearts HD - 1.5 ReMix

2014 - Kingdom Hearts HD - 2.5 ReMix

2015 - Kingdom Hearts 3...news...

 

So yeah Im sure Kingdom HD collection will come overseas and not be released only in japan. Jump Festa will be held there in December and Square will be there. Since this collection is already in its final stages im sure we get more information about it. A release date would be awesome since Nomura wants to release this sooner as he can.

I'm not doubtful.

I think it will be shipped worldwide. My only thing is that it will take TIME for them to actually announce it for America so we just need to be patient.

If I recall correctly, Nomura had said at one point that he didn't plan on releasing the Final Mixes outside of Japan.. However, I think this is entirely different, especially with it being a collection of the story

I'm not. It seem common sense to release an HD collection overseas.

Not to mention, didn't Nomura say he'd release a new game every year? I should think this counts.

People are too impatient, if it isn't announced immediately for their area they panic we're not getting it at all.

I don't doubt it will be released on US, but here in Europe... they would have to translate Re:CoM, and if SE don't want to spend money on translating it, then I think they won't release it here

Pretty sure this is the only opportunity for us to get the FM games.

Had it mentioned a couple times before, but they're not completely remade whatsoever. It's the same games just in higher resolution with a few improvements here and there (using updated character models from KH3D for example).

 

I remain skeptical about a release. People kept hoping for the Final Mix releases. Everytime people brought up very sound and reasonable points as to why it would only make sense to release them outside of Japan.

"There's loads more content", "It's almost like a new game", "They would make more money, the fanbase here is huge and people would be willing to buy it"

 

Nothing happened. Then when the next Final Mix came, it was basically "oh, but they're gonna release it THIS time. This time, it's even better" "There's even more" "It comes with a remake of CoM" "It wouldn't make sense not to release it this time"

 

Basically everyone always comes up with good reasons for why it would *definitely* be released this time, and why it wasn't the last time. It just keeps repeating itself.

 

I'm not saying it won't come out. But people shouldn't get their hopes up. Would it make sense for them to release it? Yes. Does Square-Enix make sense lately? F*ck no.

This is also supposed to be like a 10th anniversary surprise for the fans, so I think it will be released in NA and Europe too so the fans in those countries can enjoy it, it wouldn't be right to make it for Japan only.

Re:CoM is different from 2 HD remade packs each one with 3 games used for the reasons I wrote above...

I think what everyone is missing is yes,1.5 does have Final Mix content, and yes, Nomura said he had no plans to release Final Mixes in other territories but that was a long time ago. When Nomura said he had no international release plans for FMs he metioned a "trump card" that trump card was Re:CoM then Coded came out, Nomura said he wanted it to reach a broader audience then BAM we get Re:Coded. True, their not Final Mixes but their still enhanced remakes. The only difference between Final Mixes and Re:s is that Re:s are on a different system than the originals. We all know that Nomura likes to use vague language. Listen to this.

 

Interviewer: "So Mr. Nomura, since this HD collection contains Kingdom Hearts Final Mix does that mean fans in the west will finally be able to get their hands on some Final Mix content?"

Nomura "Well the Final Mixes are Japan-exclusive, but the collection is called 'Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Re:MIX' isn't it? (laughs)"

 

Sounds like something he would say, doesn't it? I think he named it Re:MIX, not only because it's a Final Mix Re:Made for a different system, but also so he could justify bringing it overseas to Japanese fans by saying "If it's not called Final Mix, it's not a Final Mix".

Besides it seems like fans are becoming disenchanted with Final Fantasy, making Kingdom Hearts Square's big money bringer in the west. After denying us 3 Final Mix games it would be corporate suicide to also deny us an HD collection simply because it has Final Mix content, which by this point is old news in Japan anyway.

Considering the secret message at the end of DDD that we've all seen by now I don't see why anyone would doubt. I'm not even sure KHFM has any new voiced scenes (at least with Sora anyway) so extra content isn't a problem.

Would it make sense for them to release it? Yes. Does Square-Enix make sense lately? F*ck no.

If Square is serious about rereleasing these titles, it doesn't make sense not to put them out in other territories. They want to rebuild/create continuing interest in the series, which has been pretty darn successful outside of Japan. To release them only in one territory is could neuter the sales of KHIII if they plan to release it overseas.

yeah but like I said. A collection with two packs in HD is different from a final mix version. Besides if I remember correctly they didnt anounce final mix in a big event because it wasnt nothing completely new, theres was no point to make that noise. Now this collection even though is not a new game, is different.

 

People are so afraid for not have a overseas confirmation yet that ignore the secret message from KH 3D. The proof is there! Because if wasnt a overseas release we would never have that message in our versions but let them do some drama

i been wondering if KH HD 1.5 is in the final stages of development i wonder if SE will show KH HD 2.5 at jump festa . I just hope FFvs13 will show up *sit and wait*
