Monty Oum, the creator of Dead Fantasy is creating a new show, called RWBY {Red White Black Yellow} so far, there is a trailer which showcase what I believe is Red, a girl based off of Little Red Riding hood. It's incredibly badass, and the soundtrack so far sounds amazing!

Who else thinks this should be made into a video game the gameplay would be epic and as for the story i'm sure it would also be good.

The characters names are Weiss Schnee (white) and Ruby (red), for those who didn't know.

Honestly, I don't get this style of fight scene. It would be more entertaining if there was actually a threat within the scene. But the people they're fighting are just straw men constructed to be knocked down. Nothing is at risk, and as a result, it's kind of dull. Not to mention the stone-faced-and-deadly trope has really been done to death. Don't be afraid to have your characters take a shot and bleed a little.

Dead Fantasy Is Like The Craziest/Coolest Thing Ever Made Ever!!!!

For thos who have seen the RWBY trailer for Ruby, there are obvious themes of Red Riding Hood. For Weiss's trailer, both the song and her physical appearance imply Snow White (and the suit of armor could be the huntsman). Red Like Roses makes me think the black girl (you know what I mean ) will probably have some implications to Beauty and the Beast. But what of the yellow character? Sleeping Beauty? Cinderella? What say you?

Yellow will likely be Sleeping BEAUTY "Yellow beauty burns gold", or Rapunzel due to her natural liking for beauty and her hair being all gold and whatnot. Then there's always the Beauty of Beauty and the Beast, Belle (My dog's name o.o).

Awesome, a RWBY thread. I hope there will be trailers for Black and Yellow, really want to see what they look like and their fighting styles.For anyone wondering, the first episode of RWBY is being premiered at Roosterteeth's Expo RTX, which is July 5, 6 and 7. Not entirely sure when it will be put online, but I'm guessing it'll be soon after, hopefully within the next few days after the 7th.

Honestly, I don't get this style of fight scene. It would be more entertaining if there was actually a threat within the scene. But the people they're fighting are just straw men constructed to be knocked down. Nothing is at risk, and as a result, it's kind of dull. Not to mention the stone-faced-and-deadly trope has really been done to death. Don't be afraid to have your characters take a shot and bleed a little.

These are only trailers for the first episode that will premiere at RTX.  They are just previewing the girls and their individual fight style and background. There's alot to come and I can't wait for it!

Even though they have supposedly no ties with fairy tales I think that Yellow is either Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, Goldilocks, or the spinner's daughter (Rumpelstiltskin). I also think Black is related to the monsters ruby was fighting but is part of a rebellion and teaming up with the RWBY team to over throw her father...I think I went a little to far but it would be really cool if that was true! As for fairy tales and Black maybe Beauty and The Beast or Alice in Wonderland. But now I think we should talk weapons. In the Wikia for RWBY they were discussing Yellow's weapons. They said twin guns and how they could burn gold as ammo, this is very interesting although I doubt it. Black seems to be holding a Whip and sort of looks like a tamer of some kind.  it it is a bow it can be like Rima's character transformation in Shugo Chara which was a clown and in the circus they have whips for animals I'm not sure the whip looking item can be the ribbon from her bow/ears. The bow thing on her hair seems to be either ears or a bow, Although it could also be a sword and the "whip" could be a tail and she could in fact be a Beowolve (creature that Ruby was fighting) like I mention she was possibly related to earlier or not. Another shot with a handle that looks like a sword her outfit sort of looks like a traditional Chinese outfit and that would be really cool. It could also be a whip sword that shift between a whip and a sword (a snake like sword that is comprised of several sections and move in a snaky motion and could act as a whip or have a straightened mode like a sword) like Ivy's from SoulCalibur and like the characters so far this weapon would be two in one. Back to Fairy tales Weiss Schnee (White) translates to white snow from German to English. I thought I would share my two cents what are yours?

It's just a trailer dude. I'm sure the actual series will have more depth to the fight scenes. And Weiss did take a hit and bleed in the White trailer. That's how she got the scar.

I get the song part (I mean c'mon "Mirror, Mirror", really?) but her physical appearance is very different from Snow White. In every iteration of the fable, not just the Disney version that so many are familiar with, Snow White has black hair and bright red lips. Weiss's hair is white and her lips are pale. The only physical similarity is that they both have fair skin.

Let's talk White..

I really like her she sings beautifully and agilely adds grace to her battle as she treats it like a performance on stage. I really liked her magic moves that boosted her speed and i love her sword and the element switching she has, I like how they stayed true to the song and gave her some ice powers such as her magic helping her ice skate across the battlefield and her sword ice crystal mode thing. I also enjoyed the graphics and overall I think she is a great character

 

Weiss is a pretty awesome character. It seems like the graphics improved between red and white to me. Also her six slot rapier is an awesome weapon. The singing is awesome and her use of the magic circles is great. 

 

agreed and black and yellow will be just as bad ass......they need to come out soon Q_Q

I think there's a reason for that. From what I've interpreted from the song at least, she's pretty sad, lonely, no one understands her. So it's understandable.

It is just a trailer for now so it'll probably get better as it goes. I personally think the white trailer has improved in the areas since red so by June when the official show comes out they'll probably have everything covered and have a lot more interest to the battles.

My dear Inori linked me the vids to the rwby vids, and I loved the Red one!  It's badass, and I loved seeing the White vid too!  It sure does look interesting. ^^

I swear, if they're just messing with us using the silhouettes and they pull some odd weapon out of a hat that's a little different than what we're all thinking, but looks similar, I'll be expecting it.
