What Language Are You Currently Learning?

Posted

Okay, before I continue. I looked around the forums to make sure there wasn't another thread about this. I only found the "What language do you speak?", "What language do you speak", and "Have you studied a foreign language?" Threads. Haven't found any threads relating to the one I'm about to talk about

So anyway, is there any language that you are CURRENTLY learning? I am talking about a language you are trying to learn currently. As in right now in your life (though mods if there is a similar thread to this one then I am sorry for making this thread then. I looked around the forums before making the thread).

I've attempted to learn Spanish for four and half year now. I still can't say much more than what my name is.

I'm brushing up on my Irish recently. Mainly because amuses an American friend of mine. It's not essentially learning because I am fluent in it already but neh.

Currently? Really basic Japanese.

JAPANESE!! But I'm like at a preschooler level D: But I can sing 4+ songs in Japanese!

Ehh, I'm forced to study Swedish.. I have also learned little bit of Germany lately and I have learned and I'm still learning Japanese from animes, I can't write or read at all, but I can speak it xD

I'm also planning to start studying French next year :3 and Spanish if possible. I really like learning different languages

Well, I did learn some Latin and Spanish, but I'm currently taking neither

Japanese... but literally just started a couple days ago and trying to teach myself from online- can't afford actual lessons or 'official dvds to help you learn Japanese' kind of things.

I don't really care about speaking it, I just wanna be able to read and maybe write it.

There's a sign language for Japanese?

There's a sign language for Japanese?

Yep, all countries have their own sign language. Even America's, Britian's and Australia's sign languages are completely different despite those speakers usually being bilingual in English ^^

Okay just to be clear. is this an optional thing or is it required when you take Japanese classes?

French and Japanese

Japanese still. and a little bit of Cantonese from a friend of mine

right now i'm in my third year of french

I used to study French (it was compulsory) but I never carried it on after 3rd year. Due to my finances I can't afford lessons but once I can I would probably invest in proper Japanese lessons. And Greek And Latin

Oh no. The school I went to when I was young had many deaf children so I learned sign language at the same time as English. This is just my own personal preference.
