Why don't you just play the same game on your PS2 for way cheaper?

Featured Replies

Because it is aimed at people who didn't play the past games, that way they can get into the series easily. Plus, the PS3 are more common these days than the PS2.

because HD graphics.

They want to try and build interest again for KH3. So they will be using HD 1.5 and presumably HD 2.5 (with some combination of kh2, bbs, and re:coded cutscenes redone like 358/2 days into 2-3 hour movie form) as a way to bring back old gamers who lost interest and hopefully draw in some new younger people who never played the originals. Then some unknown day, KH3 will finally come out and all will be well in the world.

To refresh our memories of KH1 CoM and 358/2 days....... And to make us wait longer for KH3

Remember, Versus isn't even close to being released yet. So because of this, Square is re-releasing the games again to buy time until KH3 comes out. I'm sure it's just mostly for the fans, but if you already have it on the PS2, then you don't necessarily have to buy it.

Because, Final Mix, Re: Chain of Memories and no playable Days remake in HD.

Square is stalling until Kh3.

No they aren't.

Well I don't think Square will just let years pass with no new games.

Some of us gave away their PS2s because they thought PS3s we're backwards compatible....

All will be well until we reach the cliffhanger ending of KH 3 since Nomura is going to continue the series. KH 4 will most likely be another "KH 3" lmao.

These threads...

Hatok, wat r u doin' Hatok, STAHP!

Also, because HD is shinny.

Not all of us still have a ps2 and its kingdom hearts on the ps3! We've been waiting for this for a long time.

Well lets see why the HD collection matters shall we?

>Final Mix content

>The shiny graphics

>A new element after completing the game (lets just hope it's not lame as "New Game +)

>shifting the 4th command slot to the Triangle button to make the gameplay a bit more easier

>shifting the camera to the right analog stick

>New and improved fully voiced cutscenes of Days collected in Theather mode

And most importantly as everybody else stated: since most KH games have been spread around into different consoles, Nomura thought it would be best if he collected all 3 titles in chronological order into one so new players can be familiar with the series. :)

I highly doubt he will do a cliffhanger. Nomura has said again and again that KH3 will be the end of the Xehanort saga. I believe he will end the series but have a scene at the end where everything is starting to return back to normal then something will happen like Donald, Goofy and Mickey showing up at destiny islands to tell him they need his help again because something new happened. I think they will give more info than that though, but it will set up for the next series.

Well we'd have to see where the series is headed to, like see the new enemy for a minute or 2, and that pretty much is indeed a cliffhanger

My little brother asks this question all the time T_T

-Been there done that.

-Because the same game on my ps2 is scratched up from age to the point of freezing after "I've been having these weird thoughts lately" And even if buying the game for ps2 again is cheaper, knowing that the ReMix is coming out I'd rather spend my money on that, same thing 'cept with some final mix and re:com and days cutscenes.

Yeah if I could play my original Kingdom Hearts or Re:com I would, but my PS2 broke. Tried replacing it to no avail. I'm not one for emulators either, so this HD collection is really convienient, you know with the final mix stuff and all. Sure it probably will cost some cash, but Kingdom Hearts is definitely worth.

People do realize it's hatok that ask the question right? haha

HD ftw and hopes of all KH games on the PS3.

Sometimes I wonder if 1.5 is just a decoy so that we won't notice how long Kingdom Hearts III is taking to come out, haha!

Because not everyone has a working PS2 anymore and they would like to replay the original masterpiece again and in HD, in addition to Re:Com HD and KH358/2 HD cutscenes.

To get people who haven't played the game to get into the series and to treat the fans of the series to a prettier version I presume.
