Several rumored details have popped up online in regards to the upcoming Playstation 3 exclusive title, “Final Fantasy Versus XIII.” According to a report by The Silent Chief on Feb. 2, the action role-playing game will be getting a name change. Furthermore, the development has been moved from the Playstation 3 to the next-generation. Square Enix is also expected to do another unveiling this year with an announcement that the project will be released sometime in 2014. “Final Fantasy Versus XIII” was first announced as one of the three initial games to be based on the Fabula Nova Crystallis mythology series. The other two were “Final Fantasy XIII” and “Final Fantasy Agito XIII,” which were later renamed to “Final Fantasy Type-0.” Square Enix 1st Production Department is responsible for developing the action role-playing game while Square Enix will be handling the publishing duties. Not really surprised, it's not something to not be expected.

After all we got barely any news whatsoever, so it transitioning to PS4 is alright to me.

 

 

Its funny if this rumour became true, then we got our first news since ever and it will depress PS3 users who bought the PS3 for FFVERSUSXIII.

Interesting. It better be out early 2014 so that way it could be 2016 KH3 JP and NA release. I am not taking this seriously until SQEX themselves open their mouths and say something about this.

Something smells, I bet it's the almost certain fact that Final Fantasy Versus XIII and KH3 will be coming out for the next playstation and not the ps3, making us waste even more money! Nomura is a troll and he is taking too damn long, FF Versus XIII was announced since 2006 for crying out loud!

Nononono, I don't want to have to wait another 5 years for it to come out. Just FINISH the game Square.

Highly doubt it's real. For one, they've been working on this game for PS3 for like 7 years now, so a switch to a currently unannounced, completely information-devoid system would be very counter-productive, not to mention it would piss off pretty much the entire world, which is the last thing SE need. 

Also, if there was even the slightest chance that the game was coming out next year, then chances are we would have gotten some sort of new information by now, but we've gotten nothing since the sole trailer that came out all those years ago. 

If any of this was true, then we more than likely would have heard something about it. Square-Enix are a piss off at this point, but they're not stupid.
