Nintendo Needs To Make Their Own Ideas

Posted

Nintendo always seem to make an idea based off Sony Computer Entertainment . Like seriously, using discs? Sony's idea. I thought they didn't want to use discs? And the GamePad? Lol. Copying the PS Vita much?

I feel like this is a reversal of a thread for some reason.........

Anyway, sony and nintendo both have original ideas. Both have good ideas and I like them for that.

While I think it's more the other way around (and I love both companies), everyone copies everyone these days. Originality is pretty much out of the question.

It was obvious that after the N64 that cartridges were seen as obsolete, so they had to switch to discs.

Lol

Then Sony copied the idea of Ps Move from Nintendo

And Sony copied the idea of a controller from Nintendo and Sega

Sony copied the PSP from  Gameboy from Nintendo

Sony copied the Ps1 from the Sega CD

Sony copied God of War from Devil May Cry

Also,Nintendo didn't copy the Gamepad idea from Sony,Wii U was announced in E3 2011 with the gamepad before Sony even reveal the crossplay functionality of the Ps Vita. Sony then made the Vita has a Gamepad like function just like the Gamepad only it costs more

Sony copied Smash Bros in Ps All-Star

YOU REALIZE THAT IT'S THE OTHER WAY AROUND......Sony is copying Nintendo not the opposite

Just because the Ps4 got announced doesn't mean everyone will turn against Nintendo just because you said so

You're just one of those biased fanboys who think Sony is the GOD of gaming and that everyone copy it.

If you do worship Sony then don't think everyone does.

I can understand that you hate Nintendo so much and I'm okay with that.....but back up your claims with information

Good to see there are others on here that appreciate his videos too.

This is entertaining in hindsight, as all handhelds still use cartridges.

Hahaha, that's funny and true. But I'm glad they do, because cartridges are cool.

Indeed.  You can't scratch a cartridge, which is really useful.

Ps2 eye toy good days.

Ps2 eye toy good days.

The Eye Toy wasn't a successful attempt on Ps2,which makes me wonder why Microsoft even bothered with this idea for their malfunctional Kinect..............Oh I hate the kinect

Only nintendo systems I have, ds, 3ds and n64 all use cartridges. I think they're amazing, I got to change my friends (who's a boy) game file on Mario 3d land to a chavy milly avatar. Life

yeah, portable systems use cartridges still.  All of the home consoles use discs now, after N64.

Lol....next we'll simply insert a microchip and never have to take it out xD

Oh yeah, that...  And that one's somewhere in between cartridges and discs, honestly.

I wouldn't say using discs is a rip off or anything.  Computer games used disks before any game console did.

I'm glad this is in Random, because If it was a reversal of another thread I didn't see it. And I don't plan to.

Calm down. This is the random forum if you haven't noticed. He's kidding.

Oh my god guys. This is in Random. No need to take it seriously.

Sony innovates their own technology and copies technology from others, just like every electronics company in existence. Nintendo and Microsoft do it just as much.

Technology companies are almost entirely based off of further improving existing technologies. It's rather infrequent for companies to innovate brand new technology themselves and when they do, they usually buy it from a smaller company or individual. But this copying is generally an improvement on what's already been done. Even though the Playstation Move was a commercial failure, it motion control was much more accurate than the Nintendo Wii and could be used for more activities. Just like how the the Xbox 360 Kinect is essentially an improvement on the Playstation 2 Eye thingy (forget what it was called, but it was basically an interactive camera for the PS2). Also, the Wii Us gaming tablet is based off of a prototype made by THQ before they went under. Actually, the amount of money that went into this prototype with virtually no gains was the final nail in the coffin for THQ.

Everyone is copying each other, but it's good for the industry. The businesses know they can't get away with outright copying the competitor, so they make small but noticeable improvements. Slowly but surely, the technology gets better and better and the games do as a result.

You are one of the most awesome Sony fanboys I've ever seen. Nintendo Copying Sony? Lol what world do you live in? As far as i have seen Nintendo has been more innovative than Sony has been. Was Sony first company to use vibration on their controllers? Was Sony the one that started the whole gaming industry? Was Sony the first to come up with a touch screen? Was Sony the first to come up with the idea to use motion controls? No, i don't think so. I believe It was Nintendo that did it all. Not Sony. I can't believe you're saying that Nintendo is a copy cat all because they weren't the first to make discs. You really know how to become a blind fanboy. And like Metal Snake said, you need to back up your facts before stating anything. Honestly Sora96 sometimes your faboyism over Sony makes you such a blind fanboy sometimes. If Sony's so great than why is the PS Vita and PSP such a big fail? Huh Sony fanboy? Care to explain that one?

I agree with every word you said. Sony has doing nothing but copy off of Nintendo. Lol i bet the whole reason Sora96 made this thread was because he can't stand Nintendo being a better company and make innovative ideas for their new consoles..

I'm no fan-boy. I'm interested in technology.

I've owned nearly every Nintendo handheld console at some point and I've owned all of the PlayStations.

When I purchase my products I purchase from the brand that appears to be the best to me.

When it comes to TVs and Blu-ray Players I go with Panasonic.

When it comes to computers I'll go with Dell and Toshiba.

When it comes to home consoles I'll go with PlayStation.

When it comes to handheld consoles I'll go with Nintendo.

Honestly, why the hell would I want a Wii U? Not one part of it appeals to me.

I will admit I owned a Nintendo GameCube (Pokemon Colosseum FTW!) but the Wii and Wii U do not appeal to me. I don't like their controls or their game library.

Don't call me a fan-boy. I just choose whatever I believe is best.
